Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(18):-
Objective To investigate the effects of norepinephrine on brain edema of rats in 24 h after severe burn. Methods A total of 48 healthy Wistar rats were randomly divided into 8 groups: normal control group,1,2,5 mg/kg norepinephrine, burn group, burn with 1,2,5 mg/kg norepinephrine pretreatment groups(n=6 in each group). The rats in all burn groups were scalded into 40%TBSAⅢ degree burn.Pathological features were observed, and blood brain barrier, brain water(%) were examined in postburn 24 h.Results Pathological evidence of brain edema exhibited in the burn group and burn group with norepinephrine pretreatment, and increased permeability of blood brain barrier and brain water were observed. The burn with norepinephrine pretreatment groups were more significantly severe in comparison with simple burn groups and normal control group. Conclusion Norepinephrine may play an important role in brain edema in postburn 24 h,suggesting that stress of postburn may induce brain edema.
3.Effect of Psychological Intervention on Depressive Perinatal Women's Quality of Life
Chinese Journal of Clinical Psychology 1993;0(01):-
Objective:To investigate the influence of psychological intervention on depression and quality of life among perinatal women.Methods:60 perinatal women were selected under the condition of the study.30 cases were chosen randomly from the 60 women as the psychological invention group and another 30 cases as the control group. The interventon group received psychological intervention which included supportive therapy, health education, individual psychotherapy, and family and social supportive therapy;the control group received no invention measure.Psychometrics was used for 30-and 38-week gravida of both groups and continuous psychological intervention was enforced for more than seven weeks for the intervention group. Results:The depressive factor of the psychological group was lower than of the control group(P
4.Effect of norepinephrine on expression of vascular endothelial growth factor of brain tissues in burn rats
Chinese Journal of Trauma 2003;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the effects of norepinephrine (NE) on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression of brain tissues in severe burn rats. Methods The healthy male Wistar rats were made into 40%TBSAⅢ?burn models to observe the effect of NE on blood brain barrier. In the meantime, effect of NE was examined by means of immunocytochemistry and real time PCR. Results (1) Permeability of blood brain barrier was increased in burn and burn with NE stimulating rats, with significantly statistical difference compared with normal control group (P
5.Role of angiotensin-Ⅱ in cell apoptosis
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1999;0(12):-
Angiotensin-Ⅱ-induced apoptosis was widely involved in the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, etc. The mechanism of angiotensin-Ⅱ-induced apoptosis is complicated, including the receptor (AT1R and AT2R) level regulation, Fas/FasL pathway, and the regulation by p53 family, Bcl-2 family, Caspase family, Ang-(1-7), etc. Mitochondria damage and oxidative damage play important roles in the apoptosis process. This article reviews the previous researches on angiotensin-Ⅱ-induced apoptosis.

Pituitary stalk interruption syndrome(PSIS) is a rare disease characterized by different degrees of anterior pituitary hormone deficiency. The typical imaging finding is a thin or absent pituitary stalk, often associated with an ectopic posterior pituitary and a hypoplastic anterior pituitary. The cause is still unkown.Dynamic contrastenhanced MRI helps to confirm the diagnosis.Replacement of multiple anterior pituitary hormones is the key of the treatment.Doctors should have a thorough understanding of the disease and give patients efficacious treatment and a better prognosis would be obtained.

Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2010;43(8):579-582
Objective To observe the effects of substance P (SP), NK1 receptor antagonist and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitors on the secretion of nitric oxide (NO) and expression of inducible NOS (iNOS) by immortalized human keratinocyte line HaCaT. Methods The NO level in supernatant of cultured HaCaT cells was measured by nitrate reductase assay after treatment with different concentrations (10-9 to 10-6 mol/L) of SP, or the combination of SP (10-8 mol/L) and spantide (3×10-7 mol/L), aminoguanidine (10-7 mol/L), 7-nitroindazole (10-6 mol/L) or L-NAME (10-5 mol/L) for various durations. Reverse transcription-PCR was performed to measure the expression of iNOS mRNA in HaCaT cells incubated with SP of 10-8 mol/L for 1, 24 and 48 hours. Results The SP of 10-9 to 10-6 mol/L significantly induced the production of NO by HaCaT cells, and the highest level of NO was observed in HaCaT cells treated with SP of 10-8 mol/L. The synthesis of NO by HaCaT cells induced by SP was inhibited by Spantide of 3 × 10~7 mol/L at all time points (30 minutes, 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 hours, all P< 0.01), by L-NAME of 10-5 mol/L at 3 time points (30 minutes, 1, 24 hours) and by 7-nitroin-dazole of 10-6 mol/L at 2 time points (30 minutes, 1 hour, both P< 0.05), but not by aminoguanidine of 10-7 mol/L at any time point (all P > 0.05). After treatment with SP of 10-8 mol/L, the relative mRNA expression of iNOS was 0.199 ± 0.018 and 0.516 ± 0.030 at 24 and 48 hours, respectively, and there was a statistical difference between the two time points (P < 0.01). Conclusions SP can reinforce the secretion of NO by HaCaT cells via NK1 receptor activation, but iNOS is unlikely to be the primary origin of NO secreted by HaCaT cells induced by SP.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(03):-
Blood GSHpx activities of populations living in Keshan disease affected and non-affected areas were examined. The enzyme activities of people in affected areas were lower than that in non-affected areas. That of agricultural population is lower than that of workers and staff members living in same affected areas. The enzyme activities of patient suffering from Keshan disease were a little lower than that of other children. After oral administration of Na2SeO3 for one year, the enzyme activities of children in affected areas increased to the same level of that in non-affected areas. Significant correlation was found between selenium concentration of blood and hair and GSHpx activities.
