Objective To make quantity evaluation of the teaching quality of various teaching models and ways in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Methods By the way of expert scores,evaluation indexes of the teaching quality were screened and the weight of each index was evaluated in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Teaching circumstances of common class and international standard test class of five-year system clinical medicine in 2005 grade were evaluated by the evaluation system. Results A comprehensive evaluation of index system which was divided by two grade and had 11 evaluation indexes had been constructed . Based on the new evaluation system and the results of student questionnaire,the index of comprehensive evaluation in international standard test class was significantly higher than that in common class(t=2.257,P=0.027). Conclusion The constructed comprehensive evaluation system of the teaching quality in Obstetrics and Gynecology can reflect the teaching circumstances. By using the teaching model of organ system and the Problem-Based Learning teaching way,the teaching quality in Obstetrics and Gynecology has been improved.

Objective To evaluate ultrasonic measurement of fetal thigh soft tissue thickness in the estimation of fetal weight . Methods Fetal biparietal (BPD), head cirumference (HC), abdominal cirumference (AC) , femur length (FL) and fetal thigh soft tissue thickness (TSTT) were measured by ultrasonography in 196 pregnant women during five days before dilivery and the relation with neonatal birth weight were analyzed.Results There was significantly correlation between TSTT and neonatal weight (r=0.865) , and it was better to estimate fetal weight with TSTT than with the other parameters. The prospective study showed that the predictive value of fetal TSTT was 80 1%.Conclusions The ultrasonic measurement of fetal TSTT is a simple and valuable index in estimation of fetal weight. [

Objective To investigate the patterns of mesorectum lymph node (LN) metastases of rectal cancer. Methods Rectal cancer specimens obtained by total mesorectum excision were treated with lymph node revealing solution to retrieve all the nodes, and examined by routine pathology and immunohistochemical staining. Results A total of 443 LN in 26 specimens were harvested, with 128 nodes(28 9%)in 23 cases (88 5%) found positive. Positive nodes with the size less than 5 mm accounted for 59%. Among the 23 metastatic cases, there were 14 cases with tumors locating in the posterior wall, 69 out of 71 positive nodes were found along the superior rectal artery. In the other 9 cases, tumors were found in the lateral wall, 29 out of 57 positive nodes were found around ipsilateral branches of superior rectal artery,7 were around the contralateral branches, 4 were around the ipsilateral branches of middle rectal artery. Conclusions Most positive LN were less than 0 5 cm in diameter. LN metastasis of rectal cancer have close relationship with tumor location. Tumors in the posterior wall tend to spread upward along the superior rectal artery, while tumors in the lateral wall may have upward and lateral LN metastases simultaneously, with most metastatic LN found ipsilaterally.

Interleukin-8 is CXC chemokine that is initially discovered using chemotaxis and the activation of neutrophils and induces the migration and proliferation of smooth muscle cells. Interleukin-8 is a potent angiogenic factor that may play a role in atherosclerosis. To establish the temporal correlation between IL-8 expression and plaque development, we examined the expression during atherosclerosis of hyperlipemia rabbits using immunohistochemistry, ELISA, in situ hybridization. By location of immunohistochemistry, the expression of IL-8 protein increased obviously in intima of hyperlipemia rabbits at 8 and 12 week. Quantitative analysis of the expression of IL-8 Immunohistochemistry indicated that positive area of AS model was 4.48 times and 8.76 times that of control group at 8 and 12 week. The valuation of IOD of AS model was 4.16 times and 4.36 times that of control group at 8 and 12 week. By specific ELISA, the ratio of the IL-8 protein to total protein of AS model was 1.84 times and 2.06 times that of control group at 8 and 12 week. By location of in situ hybridization, positive location was strong in intima of hyperlipemia rabbits at 8 week. We observed the dynamic alteration of interleukin-8 protein and gene expression in atherosclerotic lesions of hyperlipemia rabbits with establishing model. Interleukin-8 protein and gene expression was up-regulation in the development of fatty streaks in hyperlipemia rabbit.
