OBJECTIVE:To investigate the absorbability polyvinylidene chloride(PVC) infusion vessel to ciclosporin.METHODS:The concentration of ciclosporin was determined by HPLC after storing in the PVC infusion packages or glass bottle for different period of time and its change was investigated as well.RESULTS:The adsorption rate of PVC infusion vessel to ciclosporin increased time-dependently,with a peak value of 38.66% at 12 h,which was significant as compared with glass infusion bottle at the same time.CONCLUSION:The PVC infusion package has stronger absorbability to ciclosporin, thus its use should be avoided if possible.

OBJECTIVE:To determine the content of glycyrrhetic acid in zhenkening capsules by RP-HPLC.METHODS:The separation was performed on Hypersil C 18,the mobile phase consisted of methanol-water-glacial acetic acid(87∶13∶2.5)with flow rate at 1.0ml/min and detection wavelength at 254nm,the column temperature was set at room temperature.RE-SULTS:The calibration cure of glycyrrhetic acide was linear in the concentration range of 10~120?g/ml(r=0.9999),the average recovery was 99.68%(RSD=0.49%).CONCLUSION:This method is simple, fast, accurate, and suitable for the determination of glycyrrhetic acid in zhenkening capsules.

OBJECTIVE:To study the preparation of the ligustrazine hydrochloride liposome and evaluate its quality.METHODS:The liposome was prepared by various methods on a trial basis. The entrapped efficiency(EE)of the liposome derived from passive loading and active loading was compared.RESULTS:The ammonim sulfate gradient technology had the highest EE of 48.63%and its mean size was 6.5?m and the pH was 5.93.It was stable in refrigeratory(4℃~10℃)storage for 30 days.CONCLUSION:The ammonim sulfate gradient technology of preparation of the ligustrazine hydrochloride liposome is feasible.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of electrolytes on the stability of fat emulsion in ALL IN ONE.METHODS: The size of fat emulsion particulates was observed under microscope in 400 - fold magnification. The oil - water demixing was observed with naked eye.RESULTS:The higher the concentration of electrolytes, the stronger the influence on the fat emulsion particulates aggregation and the easier the oil - water demixing appeared. The influence of bivalent ions was stronger than that of monovalent ones. The longer the mixture stored the stronger the influence.CONCLUSION:In order to keep the stability of ALL IN ONE,the concentrations of electrolytes should not be too high, and ALL IN ONE must be used up in 24 hours.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effects of arginine-enriched total parenteral nutrition(TPN)on the nutritional and immune parameters of patients undergoing abdominal surgery.METHODS:67 patients undergoing abdominal surgery were randomly assigned to receive routine TPN(control group,n=24),TPN plus 15 g arginine(n=25,trial group Ⅰ)or TPN plus 30 g arginine(n=18,trial group Ⅱ)for 3 days postoperatively.RESULTS:Arginene-enriched TPN significantly improved postoperative nitrogen balance, promoted the recovery of plasma-albumin and total protein, and elevated the levels of CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+,but no significant difference was noted for immunoglobulin, complement C3 and complement C4 during trial period.CONCLUSION:Arginene-enriched TPN can improve patients' postoperative nutritional and immune parameters and enhance the efficacy of TPN support.

Objective To explore the correlation between thyroid nodules and uric acid levels and to find their gender differences. Methods A total of 68 056 subjects in a regional medical physical examination center of Shanxi Province from January 2013 to June 2015 were enrolled in this study. All the participants′ general information and parameters were recorded.Thyroid nodules were detected by color Doppler ultrasonography. Results The total prevalence of thyroid nodule was 35.5%, 30.7% in males and 40.0% in females. The prevalence of single nodule was 50.1%, and multiple 49.9%.Compared with no nodule group, thyroid nodule group tended to be older, with higher BMI, and with a worse metabolic status(all P<0.01).The uric acid levels were lower[(352.37±78.14 vs 357.70±77.51) μmol/L, P<0.01] in thyroid nodule group in male and higher[(260.22±61.91 vs 253.91±59.18) μmol/L, P<0.01] in female. Conclusion Thyroid nodules may be associated with metabolism and inflammation. In males, hyperuricemia group had lower, while in females, hyperuricemia ones were with a higher prevalence of thyroid nodules.

Chinese Journal of Cardiology 2022;50(10):1014-1020
Objective:To analyze the clinical characteristics of adult Chinese patients with syncope. Methods:This is a cross-sectional survey study. Patients with preliminary diagnosis of syncope in the Emergency Department, Geriatrics and Cardiology Outpatient Department, or Syncope Unit of 37 hospitals in 19 provinces, autonomous regions and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from June 2018 to March 2021 were included in this study. The clinical features of these patients with syncope were analyzed. Results:A total of 4 950 consecutive patients with syncope were included in this study. The age was (56.3±16.8)years, and 2 604 cases (52.6%) were male. The most common type of syncope was neurally mediated syncope (2 345 (47.4%)), followed by cardiac syncope (1 085 (21.9%)), orthostatic hypotensive syncope (311 (6.3%)), and unexplained syncope accounted for nearly one third (1 155 (23.3%)). Predisposing syncope was more common in patients under 65 years of age(2 066(72.4%) vs. 786(27.6%),χ 2=136.5, P<0.001). Presyncope was more common in patients with neurally mediated syncope (1 972(79.0%) vs.1 908(73.9%), χ 2=17.756, P<0.001). Premonitory symptoms were more common in women(1 837(80.0%) vs. 1 863(73.0%),χ 2=33.432, P<0.001). Presyncope syndrome was more common in patients under 65 years of age (2 482(77.8%) vs. 1 218(73.4%),χ 2=17.523, P=0.001). Cyanosis was more common in ≥65 years old patients (271(18.2%) vs. 369(12.7%), χ 2=23.235, P<0.001). Urinary incontinence was more common in old patients aged ≥65 years(252(15.2%) vs. 345(10.8%), χ 2=19.313, P<0.001). Family history was more common in patients with cardiogenic syncope compared with other types of syncope (264(24.3%) vs. 754(19.5%), χ 2=11.899, P=0.001). Hypertention(1 480(30.5%)), coronary heart disease(1 057(21.4%)), atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation(359(7.2%)), second degree atrioventricular block(236(4.8%)) were common complications of syncope. The proportion of patients with coronary heart disease was significantly higher in cardiac syncope than that of other types of syncope(417(38.4%) vs. 640(16.6%), χ 2=241.376, P<0.001). Other common complications included cerebrovascular diseases (551 (11.1%)) and diabetes mellitus (632(12.8%)). Conclusions:Neurally mediated syncope is the most common syncope in adult Chinese population. Patients with predisposing conditions and premonitory conditions are younger. Presyncope is more common in women. The proportion of family history and coronary heart disease is higher in patients with cardiogenic syncope.
