ObjectiveTo evaluate the diagnosis and treatment of primary non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma (PNHL) of the pancreas. MethodThe therapeutic result of 6 cases admitted from January 1980 to March 2000 was reviewed retrospectively. ResultsThe lesion was located in the head of the pancreas in 2 cases and the body and/or tail in 4, respectively. Clinical manifestations included epigastric discomfort, loss of weight, abdominal mass and jaundice. Two cases underwent Whipple′s procedure and distal pancreatectomy respectively, the other 4 underwent laparotomy and biopsy. B cell non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma of 5 cases and T cell non-Hodgkin′s lymphoma of one were verified by pathology. One patient lost follow-up, the other 5 patients survived 58, 49, 22, 13 and 4 months respectively. Conclusion The clinical manifestation and radiological features of PNHL of the pancreas are not specific. Comprehensive therapy including surgery is beneficial to the long-term survival of patients with PNHL of the pancreas.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2021;30(2):87-90
Objective:To explore the characteristics of color Doppler ultrasound images of breast lymphoma, and to improve the coincidence rate of ultrasound diagnosis. Methods:The color Doppler ultrasound images characteristics of 24 lesions in 21 patients with breast lymphoma in Fujian Cancer Hospital from June 2011 to January 2020 were retrospectively analyzed, and the diagnostic coincidence rate was counted. Results:All the patients were female, 18 cases were unilateral, 3 cases were bilateral. ALL cases were confirmed as primary or secondary breast lymphoma by coarse needle biopsy or surgical pathology. Pathological types included 18 cases (85.7%) of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, 1 case of anaplastic large cell lymphoma kinase (ALK)-negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma, 1 case of Burkitt lymphoma, 1 case of Burkitt lymphoma or unclassifiable lymphoma with features intermediated between diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and Burkitt lymphoma. The maximum diameter of the lesions was (5.7±2.1) cm (range 1.4-16.0 cm), and all lesions were solid in ultrasound images; 19 lesions (79.2%) were mass-type and 5 lesions (20.8%) were diffuse. According to the characteristics of internal echo, the lesions were divided into hypoechogenicity (2 lesions, 8.3%), hyperechogenicity packed with hypoechogenicity (12 lesions, 50.0%), and hyperechogenicity interweaved with hypoechogenicity (10 lesions, 41.7%). According to Adler semi-quantitative method, the blood flow of the lesions was 3 lesions (12.5%) in grade Ⅰ, 6 lesions (25.0%) in grade Ⅱ, and 15 lesions (62.5%) in grade Ⅲ. The detection rate of lesions by color Doppler ultrasound was 100.0% (24/24), but the diagnostic coincidence rate was only 41.7% (10/24).Conclusions:Most of the breast lymphoma is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and the lesions can be effectively screened by color Doppler ultrasound, but the diagnostic coincidence rate is low. Most of the breast lymphoma grows in the form of mass with abundant internal blood flow signals. When the ultrasound image of the breast lesion is hyperechoic packed or interweaved with hypoechoic, the possibility of breast lymphoma should be considered.

Objective To investigate clinicopathological features、diagnosis and surgical treatment of duodenal stromal tumors. Methods A retrospective clinical analysis was made in 23 cases of duodenal stromal tumors admitted from 1995 to 2004. Results Melena and abdominal pain was the most common presenting symptom. Complete resection was achieved in all cases, including pancreatoduodenectomy in 13 cases, by pylorus-preserving pancreatoduodenectomy in 3 cases, and tumor enucleation in 7 cases. The mean size of the tumor was 6. 6 cm (2 - 21 cm) , among them 10 cm in 6. Pathologically tumors less than 5 cm were all of potential malignancy, whereas those larger than 5 cm were malignant. Follow-up of 2 months to 9 years found all cases alive and healthy except for one who died of liver metastasis one year postoperatively. Conclusion Duodenal stromal tumors were low malignancy tumors. Aggressive surgery is the choice of treatment. Favorable prognosis is expected after complete surgical excision.

OBJECTIVETo prepare freeze-dried long-circulation oridonin liposomes with optimized parameters.
METHODSEthanol injection method followed by freeze-drying was used to prepare the liposomes. Sephadex column was used to purify liposomes. Effects of formulation factors on entrapment efficiency of long-circulation oridonin liposomes were studied. The particle size, distribution and in vitro release were determined. Pharmacokinetics of oridonin liposomes in rats was determined by HPLC and the pharmacokinetic parameters calculated by Kinetica(TM) software were compared with conventional oridonin liposomes and solution.
RESULTSThe optimized lipid formulation for long-circulation liposomes was composed of soy lecithin, cholesterol and DSPE-PEG 2000 with a ratio of 1:0.5:1.8(w/w). The ratio of drug to lipid was 1:6. Freeze-drying protectant was a mixture of glucose and mannitol (3:1). The entrapment efficiency (EE) of long-circulation oridonin liposomes was about 65%. The particle size of liposomes after hydrolyzation was 164 nm with good DPI. The liposomes showed a sustained drug release in vitro. Intravenous injected oridonin fitted with two-compartment pharmacokinetic model. The MRT of long-circulation liposomes was 2 times and 6 times and AUC was about 2 times and 3 times of conventional liposomes and oridonin solution, respectively.
CONCLUSIONFreeze-dried liposomes with high EE have been obtained by the proposed approach. This long-circulation liposomes extend oridonin half time and significantly increase AUC in rats.
