1.Treatment of 48 Cases of Prolapse of Lumbar Intervertebral Disc by Acupuncture plus Electroacupuncture
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2004;2(5):46-48
To observe the relation between the course and therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture in treating prolapse of lumbar intervertebral discs, and the different effects improved by electroacupuncture between different clinical symptoms of lumbar intervertebral discs, according to the symptoms of lumbago, pain of leg or pains of both lower back and leg, the cases were divided into different therapeutic groups. Every group was treated for three courses of treatment. There was a significant difference between the therapeutic effect and the course of treatment (P<0.01). There was a difference between the symptoms and the therapeutic effects (P<0.05). Among the clinical symptoms of lumbar intervertebral disc improved by electroacupuncture, lumbago was most obvious, pain of leg was worst. The therapeutic effect of the second course of treatment was relatively marked.

The development of the endocardial cushion and the ventricular septum of chicken heart was studied with SEM, TEM, light microscopy and histochemical methods. The results are as follows:1. The development of endocardial cushion begins from the proliferation of the endothelial cells which form cushion cells when these cells enter the cardiac jelly. Cushion cells also proceed mitosis and migrate toward the myocardium, and the endothelial cells cease proliferation when the reserve layers of cushion cells were formed. The fused endocardial cushion participates in the formation of atrioventricular orifice, the right tubercle prolongs toward the ventricular septum and eventually fuses with it.2. The cardiac jelly of endocardial cushion contains a great deal of hyaluronic acid which arranges in "trails", pioneering cushion cells migrate along the "trails" and change the component and arrangement of the matrix.3. Muscular ventricular septum is formed by aggregation of trabeculae inside the interventricular sulcus. The dorsal part of the ventricular septum fuses with the lower part of right tubercle of endocardial cushion and the ventral part fuses with the conus septum.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 1955;0(03):-
The morphogenesis of the heart and the formation of the epicardium were studied with SEM, TEM and light microscopy. The results are as follows:1. There are two stages in the development of chicken heart: First is the formation of cardiac loop. In certain places, the sulcus appears outside, and the cresta appears inside during this stage. The formation of the cardiac loop indicates the establishment of the anlagen of the heart; Second is the differentiation of the anlagen, including the septation of the heart and the shift of each part of the heart. The shift of the atrium and the conus results from the shift of the right and left ventriculum. 2. The epicardium is not differcntiatcd from the myocardium, but formed from the mesenchymal cells which proliferate in front of the sinus venosus. These cells migrate and cover the entire surface of the myocardium.

Objective To investigate the relationship between various clinicopatholngic factors and prognosis of early gastric cancer. Methods The clinical data of 459 patients with early gastric cancer who had undergone gastrectomy combined with extended (D2) lymphadenectomy at Zhongshan Hospital from January 2002 to October 2007 were retrospectively analyzed. Survival was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method, and clinicopathologic factors such as age, sex, tumor size, gross morphology, tumor differentiation, depth of invasion, lymphatic vessels involvement and lymph node metastasis were analyzed using the Cox regression model. Univariate analysis was done by Log-rank test. Results Univariate analysis demonstrated that tumor size and differentiation, depth of invasion, lymphatic vessels involvement and lymph node metastasis significantly affected survival in patients with early gastric cancer (χ~2 = 8.476, 6.210, 4.014, 14. 197, 55.027, P < 0.05). The status of lymph node metastasis was an independent predictor of survival in patients with early gastric cancer, and the more metastatic lymph nodes detected, the greater the influence on the prognosis. Conclusions Lymph node metastasis is the most important factor influencing the prognosis of early gastric cancer. Appropriate lymph node dissection is necessary, especially for patients with risk factors associated with lymph node metastasis.

Objective:To explore the best treatment for local ablation of colon cancer liver metastases (CRLM) by meta-analysis.Methods:The electronic databases of PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, CNKI and the Cochrane Library were searched from the establishment to August 22, 2022, and studies that report outcomes with comparison between microwave ablation (WMA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in CRLM treatment were selected by inclusion and exclusion criteria. Furthermore, the perioperative and survival data were statistically summarized and analyzed by Review Manager 5.3 software. Results:A total of 5 retrospective studies were included with a total sample size of 648 cases, including 316 cases (48.8%) in the WMA group and 332 cases (51.2%) in the RFA group. The results of meta-analysis showed that locoregional recurrence rate in WMA group was significantly lower than that in RFA group. The 1-year and 2-year disease-free survival (DFS) of the WMA group was significantly better than that of the RFA group with HR of 1.77 ( P=0.04, 95% CI: 1.04-3.02) and 1.60 ( P=0.02, 95% CI: 1.09-2.35), respectively. Conclusion:The local control rate and 1-year and 2-year DFS of WMA were superior to RFA.
