1.Assessment of emotional valence of the neutral pictures: it depends on the category
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2013;22(7):624-626
Objective To explore which category of pictures could induce neutral emotion better for male and female respectively, and investigate the effects of inducing neutral emotion with eight categories of neutral pictures, including the nature,plants,animals,humans,culture,death-waste,food and computer graphics. Methods Using selected stimuli from the simple version (revised by Huang and Luo(2004)) of the International Affective Picture System (IAPS),the rating of calm-mood degree were collected for 135 neutral pictures based on 186 undergraduate students (78 male and 108 female). Results The pictures in the categories of plants(6.87 ±1.53),nature(7.00 ± 1.73) and culture(6.93 ± 1.37) induced neutral emotion significantly better than human (5.89 ± 1.49),computer graphics (5.94 ± 1.93) and food (5.87 ± 2.03) (P < 0.05) which were better than animals (5.03 ± 1.70) and death-waste (4.71 ± 1.94) (P < 0.05).In addition, gender difference was found in rating calm-mood degree for death-waste,people and animals categories. For these categories males showed higher rating for the calm-mood degree than females (P< 0.05),while for the other categories, there was no gender difference. Conclusion The ideal categories of neutral pictures that inducing neutral emotion are plants, nature and culture. This study provide empirical evidences for selecting and using pictures to induce relative calm mood in the emotional study, and the contribution of this study to the clinical research is discussed.

Objective:To establish a method for analysis of residual organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate) in Ginkgo biloba Leaves for injection. Methods: The contents of residual solvents in Ginkgo biloba Leaves for injection were determined by headspace GC on HP 5 column, with FID detector, high purity nitrogen as the carries gas. Results: There was a good linearity ( r :0.9909~0.9999). The RSD of precision and accuracy was less than 5%, the average recovery rate was in the range of 93.06%~113.78%.Conclusions: The method was simple, quick and accurate and can be used for quality control of Chinese patent medicine.
3.Clinical observation on treatment of chronic hepatitis B and hepatic fibrosis with Fugan Tablet
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(12):-
AIM: In order to observe the curative effect of Fugan Tablet on chronic hepatitis B and hepatic fibrosis,we held clinical observation of 120 cases of chronic hepatitis B and hepatic fibrosis. METHODS: 120 cases of chronic hepatitis B and hepatic fibrosis were divided into curative group with Fugan Tablet and control group with Hepatic Ling Injection, and the change of symptom, hepatic function, iconography index, hepatic fibrosis in serum and the hepatic histology were observed before and after the treatment, then the curative result of the two groups was compared. RESULTS: The total effective percentage of curative group was 88.33%,and the total effective percentage of control group was 68.33%.Comparing the two groups, the difference was obvious(P
4.Several interpretation of improtant clinical trials on antihypertensive therapy
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2003;0(01):-
In the PROFESS and TRANSCEND trials,telmisartan(80 mg daily),compared with placebo, reduced systolic blood pressure by about 4 mmHg,but did not influence the primary composite cardiovascular endpoint. The difference between the ACCOMPLISH and ALLHAT trials in the amlodipine-diuretic comparison might be attributed to the combination of amlodipine with an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor in the ACCOMPLISH trial, which provided further evidence that by smoothly controlling blood pressure over 24 hours amlodipine prevent vascular events better than other antihypertensive drugs.

Objective: To observe therapeutic effect of Naomaitong Capsules on cerebral thrombosis and to study the mechanism. Methods: 160 cases of thrombosis were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=86) and a control group(n=74), and they were treated by Naomaitong Capsules and LuoXinTong, respectively. After treatment for 3 months therapeutic effects were investigated. Results: The cured and markedly effective rate was 81.39% and the total effective rate was 95.35% in the treatment group with significant differences as compared with those in the control group (P

Objective To study the cognitive tendencies in recognizing negative emotional faces. Methods The experiment used the traditional flanker paradigm for reference.Forty-eight university students (19 males,29 females) finished the flanker tasks deigned by E-Prime, and their accuracy rate and reaction time were recorded in the study. Results ANOVA revealed that,in all cases, the accuracy rate of anger was significant higher than fear and sadness (96.60% ,94.50% ,94.40% ) (P<0.05).And when the flanking stimuli were fear faces or there were no flanking stimuli, the reaction time of anger was much shorter than fear and sadness ( respectively,fear(801.27 ± 140.99) ms,anger(723.94 ± 151.37 ) ms, sadness(812.21 ± 148.85 ) ms; fear(788.17 ±148.81 ) ms, anger ( 694.28 ± 111.99 ) ms, sadness (763.57 ± 133.91 ) ms, P < 0.05 ).When the flanking stimuli were anger or sadness faces, the reaction time of anger was significant shorter than fear( respectively, fear( 824.09 ± 164.42) ms, anger (721.48 ± 124.06 ) ms, sadness ( 760.50 ± 131.12 ) ms; fear ( 798.95 ± 146.40) ms, anger (702.55 ± 136.07 ) ms, sadness (750.48 ± 133.86) ms, P < 0.05).Conclusion There are no flanker effects in recognizing different negative emotional faces, but there are anger superiority effects of face recognition and cognitive tendencies, which is helpful for clinical diagnosis and treatment of some diseases associated with emotional disorders.

Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2017;16(3):244-246
Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion (CCH) may result in neurovascular unit (NVU) injury, causing cognitive impairment. The NVU consists of neurons, glial cells, vascular cells and extracellular matrix. The damage of NVU can induce the blood-brain barrier dysfunction, abnormal cell signaling,as well as cognitive impairment. However, its molecular mechanism is unclear. Thus, investigating the role of NUV in CCH-induced cognitive impairment may provide a theoretical basis for the novel treatment of cognitive impairment.

OBJECTIVETo explore the cerebral function laterality of acupuncture at left and right Hegu (LI 4) by using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and provide objective evidences for side selection of Hegu (LI 4) in the clinical application.
METHODSEighty healthy volunteers were randomly divided into a left-acupoint group and a right-acupoint group, and they were treated with acupuncture at left Hegu (LI 4) and right Hegu (LI 4) respectively. After the arrival of qi, the task-state fMRI data in both groups was collected, and analysis of functional neuroimages (AFNI) software was used to perform intra-group and between-group comparisons. After acupuncture, acupuncture feelings were recorded and MGH acupuncture sensation scale (MASS) was recorded.
RESULTSThe difference of MASS between the two groups was not significant (P>0. 05). The result of left-acupoint group showed an increased signal on right cerebral hemisphere, while the right-acupoint group showed extensive signal changes in both cerebral hemispheres. The analysis between left-acupoint group and retroflex right-acupoint group showed differences in brain areas.
CONCLUSIONSThe central effect of acupuncture at left and right Hegu (LI 4) is dissymmetry, indicating right hemisphere laterality. The right lobus insularis and cingulate gyrus may be the key regions in the acupuncture at Hegu (LI 4).
