Objective To investigate the specific activity of 24Na per unit neutron fluence,AB/Φ,in blood produced for Chinese reference man irratiaded by 252Cf neutron source,and to analyze the effects of scattering neutrons from ground,wall,and ceiling in irradiation site on it.MethodsA 252Cf neutron source of 3 × 108 n/s and the anthropomorphic phantom were used for experiments.The phantom was made from 4 mm thick of outer covering by perspex and the liquid tissue-equivalent substitute in it.The data of phantom dimensions fit into Chinese reference man.The weight ratios of H,N,O and C in substitute equal from source to long axis of phantom were 1.1,2.1,3.1 and 4.1 m,respectively.Both the neutron source and the position of xiphisternum of the phantom were 1.6 m above the floor.ResultsThe average specific activity of 24Na per unit neutron fluence was related to the irradiation-distances,d,and its The AB/ΦM corresponds to that of phantom irradiated by plane-parallel beams,and the value is about more 3% than that by BOMAB phantom reported in literature.It has shown that floor-( wall-)scattered neutrons in irradiation site have significant contribution to the specific activity of 24Na ,but they contributed relatively little to the induced neutron doses.Consequently,using the specific activity of 24 Na for assessing accidental neutron doses received by an individual,the contribution of scattered neutrons in accident site will lead dose to be overestimated,and need to be correct.

Objective To analyse the clinical significance of LHRH exciting test in the differential diagnosis of constitutional delayed puberty (CDP) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH). Methods Eighty-one cases from 1982 to 1998 were investigated and followed up. They were all at genital stage Ⅰ. After injection of 100 ?g LHRH, the blood samples (3 ml) were taken at -15, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 min. The serum LH and FSH levels were determined by radioimmunoassay. Then they were followed up every 3-24 months. After they received LHRH exciting test, they were followed up until over 18 years old. According to their puberty development status, they were divided into 3 groups, normal group (n=34),CDP group (n=16) and HH group (n=31),andthemeanage,whenthey received LHRH exciting test, was (10.2?0.9, range 9-14) years, (16.0?1.0, range 14-18) years and (17.1?1.4, range 16-22) years respectively. Objective To investigate the relationship between corneal basal nerve change and type 2 diabetic retinopathy based on confocal laser microscopy.Methods Together 118 patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) were collected in our hospital from February 2016 to February 2017,including 57 patients with diabetic retinopathy (DR group) and 61 patients without DR (NDR group).For comparison,60 healthy volunteers were selected as the control group.And all the subjects were examined by corneal confocal laser microscopy to analyze the relationship between the morphological parameters of the corneal nerve and clinical variables.Results Corneal nerve fiber density,corneal nerve branch density and corneal nerve branch length in DR group were (20.03 ±4.22) · mm-2,(22.01 ± 7.05) · mm-2 and (9.50 ± 1.76) mm ·mm-2,significantly less than those of the control group and NDR group (all P ＜ 0.05);and corneal nerve fiber curvature was (0.30 ± 0.03),significantly higher than that of the control group and NDR group (all P ＜ 0.05);In DR patients,phase Ⅲ patients had smaller the corneal nerve fiber density,corneal nerve branch density and corneal nerve branch length,but the larger corneal nerve fiber curvature than the phase Ⅰ and Ⅱ patients (all P ＜ 0.05);course of disease of DR group was (12.04 ± 2.48) years,which was significantly higher than that of NDR group (P ＜ 0.05),while fasting C peptide and fasting insulin were (1.41 ± 0.58) μg · L-1 and (20.05 ± 7.91) mU · L-1,respectively,significantly lower than those of NDR group (all P ＜ 0.05);The duration of T2D was negatively correlated with the corneal nerve branch density and corneal nerve branch length (r =-0.322,-0.317,all P ＜0.05);Fasting C peptide was positively correlated with the corneal nerve branch density (r =0.298,P ＜ 0.05),and negatively correlated with the corneal nerve curvature (r =-0.311,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Patients with T2D retinopathy have abnormal morphology of corneal nerve.And confocal laser scanning microscopy is conducive to the early detection of microvascular disease in T2D patients with a longer course of disease or a low level of fasting C peptide.

Objective To evaluate the protective effects of Sipunculus nudus preparation(SNP) on mice irradiated by 60Co.Methods The mice were divided into control group,model group and 0.5,1.0,and 2.0g?kg-1?d-1 SNP groups.SNP was administrated by intra-gastric infusion with the volume of 0.4mL per 20g.In the fifteenth day,the model group and the treated groups were irradiated by ?-ray of 60Co(0.83Gy/h) with the dose of 5 Gy.Peripheral blood WBC,RBC,PLT,the spleen(SI) and thymus index(TI),the BMNC,SOD and MDA in serum,testicle index,germ cells were detected.Results Comparing with the model group,TI,SI and peripheral blood WBC,RBC and BMNCs were higher.The activities of SOD in serum were increased,while MDA decreased.Testicle index and germ cells were increased,and germ abnomality rate was decreased in SNP groups.Conclusion SNP has protective effects on mice irradiatied by 60Co.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of Tianqi jiangtang capsules combined with metformin in the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with cerebral microvascular lesions. METHODS:A total of 96 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with cerebral microvascular lesions were randomly divided into control group(48 cases)and observation group(48 cases). Control group was given Metformin hydrochloride tablets 0.5 g orally,3 times a day. Observation group was additionally given Tianqi jiangtang capsules 1.6 g orally,3 times a day,on the basis of control group. Both groups received treatment for 4 weeks. Clinical efficacies of 2 groups were observed as well as total score of TCM symptoms,the levels of blood glucose(FPG,2 hPG,HbA1c),blood lipid(TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C),hs-CRP,ET-1,blood rheology and oxidative stress indexes(MDA,SOD),the occurrence of ADR. RESULTS:The total response rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(89.58% vs. 70.83%),with statistical significance(P<0.05). After treat-ment,total score of TCM symptoms,the levels of blood glucose,hs-CRP,ET-1,TC,TG,LDL-C,blood rheology indexes and MDA in 2 groups were significantly lower than before;total score of TCM symptoms,the levels of FPG,2 hPG,hs-CRP,ET-1, TC,TG,LDL-C,blood rheology indexes and MDA in observation group were significantly lower than control group;the level of SOD in 2 groups were significantly higher than before,and the observation group was significantly higher than control group,and the level of HDL-C in observation group was significantly higher than before treatment and control group,with statistical signifi-cance(P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups during treatment. CONCLUSIONS:Tianqi jiangtang capsules combined with metformin show significant therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus,and can re-duce the levels of blood glucose and lipid,improve blood rheology and oxidative stress reaction,with goud safety.

Objective To investigate the characteristics of intestinal microbiota in neonates on the first and third day after birth.Methods A total of 50 healthy singleton neonates who were born between June 15,2016 and August 3,2016 in Shanghai First Maternity and Infant Hospital were enrolled.Their stool samples were collected on the first and third day after birth and the samples were labeled according to the time of collection (D1 and D3 groups,n=50 each).Illumina NexSeq high-throughput sequencing platform was used to sequence the variable region 4 and 5 of all bacterial 16S rRNA genes in the samples.The composition of intestinal microbial communities was determined and the differences between the two groups were compared by Metastats analysis.Results (1) A total of 100 stool samples were sequenced and the retrieved sequences were from 25 bacterial phyla,119 families,227 genera and 159 species.(2) Major phyla in the two groups were the same,namely,Proteobacteria,Frimicutes,Bacteroidetes and Actinobacteria.The relative abundances of Frimicutes (0.27 ± 0.03 vs 0.41 ± 0.05) and Bacteroidetes (0.07 ± 0.01 vs 0.09 ± 0.03) increased over time,while that of Actinobacteria (0.10±0.01 vs 0.01 ±0.00) decreased on day 3.No significant difference in the relative abundance of Proteobacteria (0.51 ±0.03 vs 0.49± 0.05) was observed between D1 and D3 groups.There were significant difference in relative abundances of Frimicutes and Actinobacteria between the two groups (both q=-0.01,both P＜0.05).(3) Among the top ten most abundant families,Enterobacteriaceae,Staphylococcaceae,Enterococcaceae,Streptococcaceae and Lachnospiraceae were detected in both of the two groups.The relative abundances of Enterobacteriaceae (0.25 ± 0.02 vs 0.46 ± 0.06),Staphylococcaceae (0.07 ± 0.02 vs 0.12 ± 0.03),Enterococcaceae (0.04±0.02 vs 0.10±0.04),Streptococcaceae (0.03 ±0.02 vs 0.06±0.01) increased over time,while that of Lachnospiraceae (0.03 ± 0.01 vs 0.02 ± 0.02) decreased on day 3.Only the relative abundance of Enterobacteriaceae had statistical difference between the two groups (q=0.00,P＜0.05).(4) Among the top ten most abundant genera,Staphylococcus,Enterococcus,Streptococcus,Bacteroides and Pseudomonas were detected in both groups.The relative abundances of aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria which belonged to genera of Stenotrophomonas,Propionibacterium,Acinetobacter,Bacillus,Sphingomonas and so on decreased on day 3 as compared with those on day 1 (0.00±0.00 vs 0.07±0.02,0.00±0.00 vs 0.06±0.01,0.00±0.00 vs 0.03±0.01,0.00±0.00 vs 0.02±0.01,0.00±0.00 vs 0.02±0.00,all q=0.00,all P＜0.05).However,the relative abundances of anaerobic bacteria which belonged to Bacteroides,Veillonella,Parabacteroides and so on increased on day 3 (0.01 ±0.00 vs 0.08±0.03,0.00±0.00 vs 0.03±0.02,0.00±0.00 vs 0.01 ±0.00,q=0.01,0.01 and 0.00,all P＜0.05).(5) The most abundant species in intestinal microbiota was escherichia coli in both groups.Three less abundant species including lactobacillus gasseri,lactobacillus animalis and bifidobacterium bifidum were detected in both groups.(6) Regardless of the mode of delivery,Staphylococcus,was the highest predominant genera in meconium samples,followed by stenotrophomonas.Stool samples collected on the third day after birth were divided into four groups based on deliver modes and feeding patterns.Neonates who were born abdominally with exclusive breastfed thereafter were different from those of the other three groups in predominant intestinal bacteria,but the difference was not statistically significant.Bifidobacterium and Subdoligranulum were only detected in the vaginally born neonates.Conclusions Meconium is not sterile.Although the intestinal microbiota on the first day of life is different from that on the third day of life,the dominant bacteria are common.During the first three days of life,the relative abundances of aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria decreased significantly over time,while the relative abundance of anaerobic bacteria increased.

Objective To investigate the inhibition of proliferation and the regulation of histone acetylation modification in Jurkat cells treated by sodium valproate(VPA). Methods Jurkat cells were treated with VPA.Cell proliferation was determined by CCK-8 assay, and cell cycle were analyzed by flow cytometry (FCM). mRNA of HDAC1 was detected by semi-quantitative RT-PCR, and protein expression of HDAC1 and acetylation of histone H3, H4 was examined by Western blotting. Results VPA inhibited the proliferation of Jurkat cells in concentration-and time-dependent manners. After exposure to VPA in different concentrations for 48h,cell cycle was arrested obviously at G0/G1 phase (P <0.05), and with increasing concentration, the percentage of G0/G1 phase cells was increased and that of S phase were decreased. HDAC1 mRNA expression were inhibited with the increasing concentration of VPA. The protein level of HDAC1 was down-regulated, while acetylation of histone H3、H4 was up-regulated in Jurkat cells by VPA. Conclusion VPA can inhibit proliferation of Jurkat cells and induce G0/G1 phase arrest. The mechanism may be that VPA increase acetylation of histone H3/H4 by inhibiting expressions of HDAC1 gene.
