1.EFEECT OF ALPHA-INTERFERON COMBINED WITH SILYBUM MARINANUM COMPOUND IN TREATMENT OF CHRONIC HEPATITIS B
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
This paper reports the results of 15 cases of chronic hepatitis B treated with alpha-inter -feron (?-IFN) combined with silybum marinanum compound at a small dose (?-IFN 5000 units/day)in a long treatment course(3-6 months). The cure rate was 66.6% in the treatment group and 33.3% in the placebo group. The amount of ?-IFN in the serum of the patients was determined before and after treatment, but no ?-IFN in the serum was detected before treatment, ?-IFN elevated to 5-40 units/ml after treatment for 3-7 months. However, it would drop when the treatment was stopped. The therapeutic effect was remarkable when the amount of ?-IFN in the serum was increased. The results indicate that the anti-viral drug(IFN)combined with silyoum marinanum compound may be used to cure chronic hepatitis B.

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2019;50(20):5040-5046
Objective: To establish a UPLC fingerprint method and a method for the content determination of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid of Aucklandiae Radix, and provide a comprehensive evaluation of the drug from different habitats. Methods: UPLC analysis was performed on a YMC Trait C18 (100 mm × 2.1 mm, 1.9 μm), with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile-0.05% phosphoric acid at the flow rate of 0.30 mL/min. The fingerprint detection wavelength was 254 nm and the content determination detection wavelength of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid was 327 nm, meanwhile, the column temperature was controlled at 30 ℃. Similarity analysis, hierarchical clustering analysis, and principal component analysis were undertaken to investigate the fingerprints of 13 batches of Aucklandiae Radix. Results: UPLC fingerprint of Aucklandiae Radix was established and eight common peaks were designated. The results showed that the quality of the batches of samples were not stable. Samples collected from the same region and different regions both had certain differences, as well as the content determination of 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid. Conclusion: The proposed method offered a fast, holistic, and effective method for the quality control of Aucklandiae Radix.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(8):806-811
OBJECTIVETo explore the cerebral function laterality of acupuncture at left and right Hegu (LI 4) by using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and provide objective evidences for side selection of Hegu (LI 4) in the clinical application.
METHODSEighty healthy volunteers were randomly divided into a left-acupoint group and a right-acupoint group, and they were treated with acupuncture at left Hegu (LI 4) and right Hegu (LI 4) respectively. After the arrival of qi, the task-state fMRI data in both groups was collected, and analysis of functional neuroimages (AFNI) software was used to perform intra-group and between-group comparisons. After acupuncture, acupuncture feelings were recorded and MGH acupuncture sensation scale (MASS) was recorded.
RESULTSThe difference of MASS between the two groups was not significant (P>0. 05). The result of left-acupoint group showed an increased signal on right cerebral hemisphere, while the right-acupoint group showed extensive signal changes in both cerebral hemispheres. The analysis between left-acupoint group and retroflex right-acupoint group showed differences in brain areas.
CONCLUSIONSThe central effect of acupuncture at left and right Hegu (LI 4) is dissymmetry, indicating right hemisphere laterality. The right lobus insularis and cingulate gyrus may be the key regions in the acupuncture at Hegu (LI 4).

Objective To explore the optimal method of treatment for radiation proctitis by keeping coloclysis with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), including administation temperature, infusion time, dosage and catheter depth. Methods The orthogonal experimental design was adopted. Sixty-three patients with radiation proctitis were randomly divided into 9 groups, and they were under enema for 6 weeks according to different test conditions. TCM syndrome score, radiation injury effect and Karnofsky scores were set as evaluation indexes. An orthogonal design and analysis of variance were conducted for optimization. The best technical schemes for traditional Chinese herb in treating radiation proctitis were obtained. Results The obtained optimum methods are:drug temperature of (39±0.5)℃, infusion time of 30 minutes, dosage of 100 mL, catheter depth of 20 cm. Conclusion The optimal scheme of enema for the treatment of radiation proctitis is reasonable and feasible.

Objective To study the efficacy of trimctazidine combined with atorvastatin for primary hypertension with paroxysmal auricular fibrillation, and its effects on LAD and CRP. Methods 160 patients of pri-mary hypertension with paroxysmal auricular fibrillation were randomly divided into 4 groups. Forty patients were treated with amiodarone (control group),600 mg/d for the first week,400 mg/d for the second week and 200 mg/d later;40 patients were treated with atorvastatin (20 mg/d,3 times per day) in addition to amiodarone (the atorvasat-in group);40 patients were treated with trimetazidine (20 mg/d,3 times per day) in addition to armiodarone (the trimetazidine group);40 patients were treated with combination of trimetazidine and atorvastatin in addition to amiod-atone (the combination group),and the dose was the same as the above groups. The treatment was started within 24 hours of recovering from paroxysmal auricular fibrillation and lasted for 1 year. Results After 1 year there was 1 pa-the control group, and 62.5% (25/40) for the atorvasatin group,64.1% (25/39) for the trimetazidine group, and 84.6% (33/39) for the combination group. Compared to the control group, the effective rate of the 3 treatment groups were all significantly higher (X2=4.56、5.13、17.55,P<0.05). The effective rate of the combination group was significantly higher than that of the atorvasatin group and the trimetazidine group (X2=4.95、4.30,P<0.05),and there was no significant difference of effective rate between the atorvasatin group and the trimetazidine group(X2= >0.05). After treatment LAD was (40.96+1.81) mm in the control group,(38.65±1.90) mm in the atorvasatin group,(39.15±1.85)mm in the trimetazidine group, and (37.22±1.74) mm in the combination group. LAD of the 3 treatment groups were all significantly different from the control group(F=3.42,P<0.05). LAD of the combina-tion group was significantly smaller than that of the atorvasatin group and the trimetazidine group (P<0.05),and there was no significant difference of the LAD between the atorvasatin group and the trimetazidine group(P>0.05). There was no significant difference between the 4 groups on CRP before treatment (F=0.96,P>0.05). After treat-ment CRP was (8.85±1.45) mg/L in the control group,(5.96±1.26) mg/L in the atorvasatin group,(6.81± 1.37) mg/L in the trimetazidine group, and (3.75±1.15) mg/L in the combination group. CRP of the 3 treatment groups were all significantly different from the control group (F=3.63,P<0.05). CRP of the combination group was significantly lower than that of the atorvasatin group and the trimetazidine group (P<0.05),and there was no signif-icant difference of CRP between the atorvasatin group and the trimetazidine group (P>0.05). Conclusion The treatment with trmetazidine combined with atorvastatin could prevent recurrence of paroxysmal auricular fibrillation though anti-inflammatory and inhibiting the remodeling of left atrial.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2016;20(36):5450-5457
BACKGROUND:Efficacy of stem cel therapy is considerably influenced by oxidative stress. Sirtuin (SIRT) family of mammals is an important deacetylation and antioxidant enzyme that can regulate endogenous antioxidant activities in stem cel s and cel cycle related signaling pathways to reduce the damage and enhance the viability of stem cel s.
OBJECTIVE:To review the regulating function and mechanism of SIRT family.
METHODS:A computer-based search of Web of Science, PubMed and CNKI from 1990 to 2015 was performed for relevant articles about SIRT and stem cel oxidative stress, using the key words of“SIRT, stem cel , oxidative stress, molecular mechanisms”in English and Chinese, respectively. After eliminating literatures which have poor authority or have similar contents, 55 articles were involved.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:NAD+-dependent SIRT family is the key enzyme for deacetylation of histones and other proteins. It plays vital regulation roles in metabolism, genomic stability, DNA damage/repair, and chromatin remodeling/stress reaction. Progress in the SIRT-targeted stem cel research wil definitely provide more clues for clinical stem cel transplantation therapy.
