Objective To predict the spatial distribution of Himalayan marmot using geographic information system (GIS) and Genetic Algorithm for Rule-set Production (GARP) model based on the monitoring data of Himalayan marmot in Qinghai Province.Methods Based on the data of routine monitoring and field survey by Global Position System (GPS) of Himalayan marmot,the position data was processed by spatial mapping using ArcGIS software.Ecological environment variables related to Himalayan marmot including terrain,slope,temperature,precipitation,vegetation,land use and other related variables were extracted and analyzed.The prediction model of Himalayan marmot distribution was constructed based on GARP model and ArcGIS software,and the spatial distribution mapping and analysis were carried out.Results Totally 198 points of Himalayan marmot were obtained by combining the recovery position with GPS information.The average model error of omission was 1.998 through the GARP modeling,while the optimal 100 model were highly statistically significant (all x2 ＞ 163.03,all P ＜ 0.01).The spatial distribution of predicted probability was divided into three grades including less than ＜ 40％,40％-＜ 80％ and 80％-100％ using ArcGIS,and the area with the prediction probability of 80％-100％ was the most suitable distribution area of Himalayan marmot.Conclusions The spatial distribution of plague host animal is predicted successfully using GIS and GARP ecological niche model.The result is more accurate compared to the statistic area by administrative region,which can provide important reference for plague prevention and control.

Objective To observe the effects of a natural static magnetic field (NSMF) on the proliferation of human hepatocarcinoma cells. Methods Three human hepatocarcinoma cell lines ( BEL-7402,HEP G-2 and QGY-7701 ) were cultured under standard conditions and then exposed to NSMFs of 0.1 Tesla at 600 Hz,0.2 Tesla at 250 Hz,0.2 Tesla at 400 Hz or 0.2 Tesla at 500 Hz for 30 minutes daily for 3 or 6 days.Flow cytometry and the XTT cell proliferation assay were used to check apoptosis and the proliferation of cells all groups. Results Only exposure to 0.2 Tesla magnetism at 400 Hz induced apoptosis of the BEL-7402 cell line.None of the NSMFs induced apoptosis in the other 2 hepatocarcinoma cell lines. Conclusions Different reactions of the three hepatocarcinoma cell lines to the same NSMF implies that each cell line has its own features,and that individualized NSMF treatment protocols should be adopted for better clinical outcomes.

BACKGROUND:It is controversial to treat sacroiliac joint fracture.Some scholars advocated expectant treatment,and some others advocated surgery therapy.Pelvic stability was responsible for the scheme selection.Sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation destroys pelvic stability,which easily induces instability and bone nonunion,resulting in sacroiliac joint pain,unequal size of lower limbs,sitting pain and dysfunction.Thus,prognosis of mental implant is significantly better than expectant treatment in treatment of unstable pelvic fracture.OBJECTIVE:To summarize the treatment of unstable pelvic fractures and their clinical application using various internal and external fixation of metal implants.METHODS:The computer-based research was done in Pubmed database (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed) and Wanfang database (http://www.wanfangdata.com.cn) for articles published from January 1991 to December 2009 with the key words of "Pelvic fractures,instability,surgical treatment" by the first author.A total of 115 articles were retrieved,and those concerning characteristics and clinical application of implants in the treatment of unstable pelvic fracture.Articles addressing old and repetitive contents were excluded.Literatures of the same fields published in recent years or in authorized journals were selected.Finally,30 articles were included.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation is a severe,high-energy trauma,has been paid great attention in the therapy,particularly in unstable sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation.A stable type of fracture and dislocation of the sacroiliac joint received a conservative treatment of unstable sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation appropriate line of external fixation,internal fixation for reconstruction of pelvic stability and internal fixation treatment varied,but the therapeutic effect of internal fixation needs to be improved.What are bio-mechanical characteristics of various internal fixation methods,and how the timing of weight-bearing activities following various internal fixations require further basic and clinical studies.An unstable sacroiliac joint fracture-dislocation fixation has many ways,including the anterior and posterior fixed-fixed.Minim ally invasive therapy such as posterior CT guided sacroiliac joint lag screw is the developmental trend.

Objective To compare the effects of BOSU ball exercise and treadmill walking on lower limbs function in patients after stroke. Methods 40 patients more than 6 months after stroke were randomly divided into BOSU ball group (n=20) and treadmill group (n=20), who accepted BOSU ball or treadmill exercise on the basis of routine rehabilitation. They were assessed with Berg Balance Scale (BBS), 30-s chair stand (CS-30), sit and reach (SR), 6 minutes walk test (6MWT) and modified Barthel Index (MBI) before and 12 weeks after treatment. Results The scores of all the assessment improved in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), and the socres of BBS and MBI improved more in the BOSU ball group than in the treadmill group (P<0.05). Conclusion BOSU ball exercise can improve more of the balance and activities of daily living in post-stroke patient than treadmill walking.

BACKGROUND:Transplantation of stem cells has a beneficial effect on myocardium revascularization and improving cardiac function after myocardial infarction, and HLA-G protein contributes to the formation and maintenance of the immune tolerance.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the transplantation effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells at different gestational age with different HLA-G expression levels on myocardium revascularization after myocardial infarction in rabbits.
METHODS:Thirty healthy New Zealand rabbits were selected and were randomly divided into human smal gestational age umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells transplantation group, human ful-term umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells transplantation group and control group. After the rabbits models of acute myocardial infarction had been established, the former two groups were infused different umbilical cord-derived human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells labeled with 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine into the edge and center of myocardial infarct region by multipoint injection. Rabbits in the control group were subjected to an equal volume of serum-free culture medium.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Four weeks after celltransplantation, 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine-positive cells were found surrounding the infarct site in both transplantation groups. Myocardial fibrosis and myocardial infarct size were significantly lower in both transplantation groups than those of the control group (P<0.05), and there was a significant difference between the two transplantation groups (P<0.01). The positive staining of factor VII indicated that capil ary density was increased significantly in the smal gestational age umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells transplantation group as compared with the ful-term umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells transplantation group (P<0.01), and a sstatistical difference was found between two transplantation groups and the control group (P<0.01). Transplantation of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells with high HLA-G expression increases new capil ary vessels and improves myocardium revascularization. Al indicate that human smal gestational age umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells have the potential to become the better source of cardiomyocytes transplantation.

Objective: To evaluate the impacts of the prognostic factors of T2N0M0 upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) for Chinese patients.Methods: A retrospective study was conducted including 235 patients who were diagnosed with T2N0M0 UTUC in our hospital and received radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) or partial ureterectomy during January 2000 and December 2013.The 3 and 5-year can-cer-specific survival rates and bladder recurrence-free survival rates of all the patients were valued using Kaplan-Meier method, and the survival curves with statistical significance between the two were compared using the Log-rank test.Variables with significant differences in the univariate analysis were subjected to the multivariate analysis by Cox regression model.Results: A total of 235 patients were included in this study, including 95 (40.4%) male patients and 140 (59.6%) female patients.The mean age was 66.73±10.49 years.The median follow-up time was 53 (rang: 3-142) months, and during the follow-up, 74 (31.5%) patients died of UTUC after a median of 35 months,and 96 (40.9%) patients developed intravesical recurrence after a median of 19.5 months.The 3 and 5-year cancer-specific survival rates of all the patients were 89.1% and 85.9%, respectively;the bladder recurrence-free survival rates were 85.5% and 80.2%, respectively.The independent prognostic factors of cancer-specific mortality were tumor age elder than 55 years (HR=3.138, 95%CI: 1.348-7.306, P=0.008) and diameter larger than 5 cm (HR=3.320, 95%CI: 1.882-5.857, P<0.001).The independent prognostic factors of bladder recurrence-free survival were ureter tumor (HR=1.757, 95%CI: 1.159-2.664, P=0.008) and lower tumor grade (HR=1.760, 95% CI: 1.151-2.692, P=0.009).Conclusion: T2N0M0 UTUC has a better cancer-specific survival.The intravesical recurrence was equivalent to non-muscle invasive UTUC but earlier.The tumor diameter larger than 5 cm and the patient age elder than 55 years were independently associated with cancer-specific mortality;the primary tumor located in ureter and lower tumor grade were more likely to develop intravesical recurrence.

Objective: To understand the status of dietary behaviors among urban primary school children, to explore the relationship with the family environment in order to provide a basis for adopting the intervention measures and reducing the occurrence of child dietary behavior problems. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted among 507 children of grade 5 randomized selected through dustering method from 4 in primary schools in Haidian district，as well as their parents. Results: About 80.3% of the surveyed children reported the rate of frequency consumptions of vegetables 6-7 days per week. The frequency of consumption of fruits was lower than that of vegetables（67.8%）. The frequency of consumption of meat, eggs, milk and beans was lower（the rate of 6-7 days per week was 57.5%,45.3%,60.0%,17.3%, respectively）, and the number of children who did not eat beans was the highest(9.9%). The multiple linear regression revealed that parents’ dietary behaviors（β=0.21）, parents’ restrictions on snacks（β=0.21）, family cohesion（β=0.15）, and family monthly income（β=0.13） were promoting factors for children’s good dietary behaviors. The stock of snacks was a risk factor for children’s good dietary behaviors (β=-0.11)(P<0.05). Conclusion Dietary behavior of primary school children in urban area was influenced by family environment factors, especially dietary environment in family. Family environment factors could promote children’s dietary behaviors through parental support and modelling. Giving the parents intervention on nutrition and healthy diet, normalizing the family dietary environment are conducive to children’s dietary behaviors.

Objective:To provide scientific basis for prevention and control measures of island regions through analyzing the characteristics of malignant tumor incidence and mortality in eastern island areas of China and comparing the data with the national cancer mortality data in the same period. Methods:Using the incidence and mortality data of malignant tumor in Daishan county,Zhoushan collected by the Daishan Center for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC)from 2014 to 2019,which was stratified by gender,the crude incidence rates(CIR)and crude mortality rates(CMR)were calculated,and the top 10 malignant tumors with the highest incidence or mortality rates were then ranked.The Segi's world standard population was used to calculate the age-standardized incidence(ASIR)and age-standardized mortality rate(ASMR).The local data were compared with the national cancer mortality data from 2014 to 2019,and Chi-square test was used to analyze the differences between these two sets of data using the SPSS software.The difference was considered statistically significant when P<0.05. Results:There was a total of 7 305 incidence cases of malignant tumors in Daishan county,Zhoushan from 2014 to 2019.The CIR was 662.39/105 and the ASIR was 306.81/105.Notably,the CIR was the highest in the age group of 75-79 years old.The top 5 malignant tumors with the highest incidence rates were lung cancer(27.15％),gastric cancer(12.76％),liver cancer(10.95％),colorectal cancer(6.92％)and breast cancer(5.42％),whose ASIR were 75.09/105,32.06/105,31.01/105,17.81/105 and 18.36/105,respectively.There was a total of 3 412 mortality cases of malignant tumors in Daishan county,Zhoushan from 2014 to 2019.The CMR was 309.39/105 and the ASMR was 122.73/105.Notably,the CMR was the highest in the age group of 80-85 years old.The top 5 malignant tumors with the highest mortality rates were lung cancer(24.94％),liver cancer(18.64％),gastric cancer(17.00％),colorectal cancer(7.56％)and esophageal cancer(5.72％),whose ASMR were 29.65/105,24.97/105,19.01/105,8.75/105 and 6.60/105,respectively.The total ASMR of malignant tumors in Daishan county,Zhoushan was higher than national total ASMR from 2014 to 2019(100.34/105)(P<0.001).Specifically,the ASMR of gastric cancer,lung cancer and colorectal cancer in Daishan county were significantly higher than national levels(gastric cancer:12.46/105;liver cancer:16.45/105;colorectal cancer:6.63/105)(P<0.01),whereas no significant difference in the ASMR of lung cancer and esophageal cancer between Daishan county and the whole nation(lung cancer:28.06/105;esophageal cancer:7.61/105)was observed. Conclusion:Lung cancer,gastric cancer,liver cancer and colorectal cancer were malignant tumors with higher incidence and mortality rates in Daishan county,Zhoushan from 2014 to 2019.Particularly,the ASMR of gastric cancer,liver cancer and colorectal cancer were significantly higher than the national levels,and these malignant tumors should be considered as the major focus of cancer prevention and control.

Purpose: Globally, there is a high incidence of gastric cancer (GC). Leucine zipper-EF-hand containing transmembrane protein 1 (LETM1) is reported to play a vital role in several human malignancies. However, there is limited understanding of the role of LETM1 in GC. This study aims to investigate the effects of LETM1 on proliferation, migration, and invasion of GC cells. Materials and Methods: The expression levels of LETM1 in the normal gastric mucosal epithelial cells (GES-1) and GC cells were analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and western blotting. CCK-8, wound healing, and Transwell invasion assays were performed to evaluate the effect of LETM1 knockdown or overexpression on the proliferation, migration, and invasion of the GC cells, respectively. Additionally, the effect of LETM1 knockdown or overexpression on GC cell apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry. Furthermore, the effect of LETM1 knockdown or overexpression on the expression levels of PI3K/Akt signaling pathway-related proteins was evaluated by western blotting. Results: The GC cells exhibited markedly higher mRNA and protein expression levels of LETM1 than the GES-1 cells. Additionally, the knockdown of LETM1 remarkably suppressed the GC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and promoted the apoptosis of GC cells, which were reversed upon LETM1 overexpression. Furthermore, the western blotting analysis indicated that LETM1 facilitates GC progression via the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. Conclusions LETM1 acts as an oncogenic gene to promote GC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion via the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. Therefore, LETM1 may be a potential target for GC diagnosis and treatment.
