With the increasing use of lower-extremity arterial angioplasty and the clinical use of a variety of vascular preparation devices. Vascular surgeons have more vascular preparation equipment such as cutting balloon, double wire balloon, chocolate balloon, shock wave balloon, AngioJet, Roterax and Acostream. These options can improve clinical outcomes, improve patient experience, and reduce stent placement and associated complications. This article will review the available vascular preparation devices for volume reduction, endovascular lithotripsy, and other special balloons to help clinicians choose the appropriate vascular preparation for their condition to improve perioperative safety and long-term patency.

Objective To investigate an approach for locating the operation target of deep brain stimulation (DBS) (subthalamic nucleus,STN) based on the center of the red nucleus (RN).Methods Sixteen adults, including 8 with Parkinson' s disease (PD) and 8 from healthy volunteers, collected in our hospital from September 2012 to September 2013,were chosen; transverse T2-weighted MRI (3.0T) was performed. On the layer of the RN's maximum diameter,a right triangle was formed by three lines:the first one (marked as line AB) was the acknowledged 12 mm line, the second one (marked as line AC) was connected by the operation target and the RN center, and the third one (marked as line BC) was connected by the anterior commissure (AC) and posterior commissure (PC).The angle (marked as α) formed by the AC-PC plane and line AC and the length of the line BC (marked as b) were measured and analyzed. Results The average length of the RN diameter in 16 adults was (0.93±0.05) cm in the left cerebral hemisphere and (0.92±0.03) cm in the right. The length of line b was (0.81 ±0.09) cm in the left and (0.82±0.06) cm in the right. The angle α was (56.76±2.87)° in the left and (55.98±2.30)° in the right. The RN diameter, length of line b and angle α in patients from PD group showed no significant differences as compared with those in the normal controls (P>0.05).Conclusion The RN center can be used for indirectly locating STN before DBS for PD treatment.

【Objective】 To understand the prevalence of overweight/obesity among school-age children in Pudong New Area of Shanghai, and to explore the influence of gestational weight gain and pre-pregnancy body mass index (BMI) on weight status of school-age children. 【Methods】 From November to December 2020,a stratified cluster sampling method was adopted to select first-grade students from 13 primary schools in Pudong New Area of Shanghai. After matching with the birth monitoring database, 755 students with complete birth information were selected as the study subjects. The relevant information of mothers before and during pregnancy was retrospectively collected, and the effects of pregnancy weight gain combined with pre-pregnancy BMI on overweight/obesity in school-age children were analyzed. 【Results】 1) The prevalence rates of overweight and obesity of first-grade children were 15.89% and 18.41%, respectively.2) Maternal excessive weight gain during pregnancy (OR=1.678) and overweight/obesity before pregnancy (OR=2.315,2.412) were risk factors for overweight/obesity of the offspring at school age(P<0.05).3) For mothers who were underweight before pregnancy, excessive weight gain during pregnancy was associated with overweight/obesity in school-age children in their offspring (OR=7.436, 95%CI: 1.489 - 37.143,P<0.05).4) Excessive weight gain during pregnancy combined with overweight/obesity before pregnancy significantly increased the risk of overweight/obesity in offspring (OR=3.606, 95%CI: 2.030 - 6.405, P<0.05). Mothers who gained a moderate amount of weight during pregnancy and were emaciated before pregnancy had a significantly lower risk of overweight/obesity in their school-age children (OR=0.217, 95%CI: 0.049 - 0.967, P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Excessive weight gain during pregnancy increases the risk of overweight/obesity in school-age children in their offspring, strengthening pregnancy health education and perinatal care to help pregnant women maintain appropriate weight gain during pregnancy may be an important and novel strategy to prevent childhood obesity.
