1.The present situation and prospects of post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2000;0(06):-
The post-operative adjuvant chemotherapy(PAC) for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) appeared on the 1970s of the 20th century. Along with the appearance of each kind of new drugs and new combined therapeutic regimen, PAC for NSCLC is also progressed gradually, and more and more evidence showed that PAC can improve the survival and quality of life of patients with NSCLC. The present situation of PAC for NSCLC and the prospects of its future development were introduced.

Chinese Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology 2007;23(3):1-171
Cancer metastasis is composed of a complex cascade that involves a variety of critical steps beginning with detachment from the primary tumor and ending with growth of tumor at a distant site, such as bone. The "seed-and-soil hypothesis" predicts that the bone microenvironment expresses factors through which attract a variety of cancer cells and promote the tumor development. The ending point of tumor development in bone is achieved through the bidirectional and dynamic interaction between tumor cells and the cells in their growth microenvironment. A variety of factors produced by the bone microenvironment, contribute to the pathogenesis of cancer skeletal metastasis. In this review, using prostate cancer (CaP) as an example, some of general mechanisms of cancer metastasis will be summarized. In addition, the current understanding of the interaction between tumor cells and the bone microenvironment will be addressed. Finally, the research directions in the near future will be suggested.
3.Efficacy of erlotinib on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer
Cancer Research and Clinic 2011;23(8):509-511
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of erlotinib on advanced NSCLC, and observe its adverse events. Methods An open labeled, expanded access program (EAP) was conducted on 19 pathologically confirmed advanced NSCLC patients who had received at least one regimen chemotherapy.Erlotinib (150 mg) was orally administered daily till disease progression or intolerable adverse events developed. The efficacy was evaluated according to RECIST criteria; the adverse events were evaluated according to NCI criteria. Results In 19 patients, the objective response rate was 21.1% (4/19), and the disease control rate was 84.2 % (16/19); the median progression-free survival time was 7.5 months (3-36 months), and the median survival time was 15.9 months (9-39 months).Adverse events were generally mild (grade Ⅰ or Ⅱ ), including skin rash (84.2 %) and diarrhea (57.9 %). One (5.3 %) patient developed grade Ⅲ elevation of serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase. No grade Ⅳ drug-related adverse event occurred. Conclusion Erlotinib is effective and safe for locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC patients who have failed previous chemotherapy.

Objective To investigate the possibility of differentiation of multipotent adult progenitor cells from human bone marrow(hMAPCs) into hepatocytes with hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and fibroblast growth factor-4 (FGF-4) in vitro to find a new cell source for liver tissue engineering. Methods (1) Harvest of the hMAPCs: The bone marrow mononuclear cells were obtained from bone marrow obtained from volunteers by gradient centrifuging. The adherent mononuclear cells were cultured. The mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) were isolated and collected by magnetic activated cell sorting(MACS) through depletion selection by the use of CD45 and GlyA microbeads. (2) The hMAPCs were induced to differentiate with HGF(20ng/ml) +FGF-4(10ng/ml). L-02 human hepatocytes (cell lines) were used as the control, with undifferentiated hMAPCs serving as the contrast. (3)The expression of albumin (ALB), alpha fetoprotein (AFP), cytokeratin-18(CK-18), cytokeratin-19(CK-19) was detected with immunocytochemistry to identify the characters of the differentiated cells at different time, and to determine the ratio of positive cells. (4) ALB expression of the differentiated cells at different time was detected by Western blot on day 21 and 25. Results (1) The result of immunocytochemistry: The differentiated hMAPCs expressed the late markers (ALB, CK-18) of hepatocyte at all the time but did not express CK-19. The differentiated hMAPCs expressed AFP on day 7. (2) The result of Western blot assay: the differentiated cells expressed the late markers (ALB) of hepatocyte on day 21 and 35. Conclusions hMAPCs can differentiate into hepatocyte-like cells under specific inducing conditions.

Objective To observe the changes of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in blood sugar,TC,TG,HDL C,plasma insulin, body mass index(BMI), microalbuminuria, etc before and after moderate intensity exercise training. Methods 28 patients with mean age of 59.0?7.6 years did moderate intensity exercise training for 1~1.5 hours every day for 12 month. At the same time they received the treatment of diet and oral antidiabetic drug com pared with 40 controls without exercise training. Before and after the observing period we measured the values of items above. Results Plasma glucose level , HbAlc,AUCGS(the area under the curve of glucose sugar) and BMI in fat diabetes with training team were obviously decreased compared with those before observation( P 0.05).Conclusion Exercise training can significantly descend blood sugar, insulin resistance and BMI of obese people ,improve lipidmetabolism and ascend insulin sensitivity. So the action of exercise can't be replaced by the diet and oral drug.

Objective:To investigate the clinical features and adjuvant chemotherapy of children with medulloblastoma(MB).Methods:Clinical data of 21 pathologically confirmed MB children admitted to the department of pediatrics of Beijing Tongren Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University from May 2012 to November 2017 were collected to analyze the clinical efficacy and prognosis of multidisciplinary combined treatment. Results:There were 21 children enrolled in the study(15 males and 6 females; median age: 6 years and 3 months). The majority of tumors were from the fourth ventricle(66.7%, 14/21 cases). The most common type of pathological tissue was classic medulloblastoma(61.9%, 13/21 cases). Most of the molecular types was type 4(47.6%, 10/21 cases). There were 15 cases(71.4%)in the high-risk group and the remaining 6 cases(28.6%)in the low-risk group without metastasis(M0 stage). Total tumor resection was performed in 16 cases(76.2%). The patients were followed up to December 2019(median follow-up time was 29 months). After comprehensive treatment, 11 patients died and 6 patients relapsed. The 2-year survival rate was 61.5%, and the 5-year survival rate was 51.1%.Cox regression multivariate analysis showed that the survival rate of children with no tumor spread, short time interval between radiotherapy and surgery was higher( P<0.05). Conclusion:The incidence of MB in boys is higher than that in girls.Whether the tumor is disseminated or not, the time interval between radiotherapy and surgery are independent risk factor affecting the prognosis.Multidisciplinary combination therapy can effectively improve the long-term prognosis.

Objective To explore the clinical features of systemic onset of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (SoJIA) with atlantoaxial subluxation as the initial manifestation. Methods The clinical data from one SoJIA patient with atlantoaxial subluxation as the initial manifestation were retrospectively analyzed. Results A 9-year-old boy presented the head and neck movement disorder as the ifrst symptom, developed fever on the third day, then rapidly progressed on 23rd day, with a sharp decline in red blood cell, platelet, and hemoglobin, blood coagulation dysfunction, and a large number of bilateral pulmonary exudation. Ultrasonography showed excess lfuid in abdomen, chest, and pericardium. According to the 2001 version of the revised International College of Rheumatology standard, the diagnosis of SoJIA combined macrophage activation syndrome was conifrmed. Then treated with hemoperfusion, ifltration, and methylprednisolone combined with cyclosporine A, the disease was in remission. Conclusion For children with spontaneous atlantoaxial subluxation accompanied by the systemic symptoms, with no obvious skeletal deformity or acute inlfammation etc., should be alerted to the consideration of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Objective To investigate the expression of Clq complement receptor(ClqRp and gClqR)in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)of systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE), and the corre|ation between serum levels of complement lq(Clq)and anti-Clq autoantibodies(ClqAb)with ClqRp and gClqR is analyzed. The probable mechanism of ClqRp and gClqR in the development of SLE is explored. Methods The peripherial blood monouclear cells of 58 SLE patients and 30 healthy subjects were collected for the detection of the expression of ClqRp and gClqR by flow cytometry. The serum levels of Clq and ClqAb were detected by single radial immunodiffusion and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)re- spectively. The correlation between ClqRp and gClqR and other disease activity parameters, such as Clq, ClqAb, SLEDAI score, anti-dsDNA antibody, C3, C4 levels were analyzed. Results The expression of ClqRp on mononuclear and neutrophiles of SLE was(7.2?2.3)% and(3.4?2.1)%, lower than that in healthy individuals [(10.6?2.1)% and(9.0?8.7)% ], P
