Objective To explore the curative mechanism of Jieyuan (JY) Capsule on rats renal failure induced by 5/ 6 nephrectomy. Methods Chronic renal failure (CRF) rat models induced by 5/6 nephrectomy were administered with JY Capsule. The serum levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (Scr),hematological and biochemical indexes,and renal histological features were observed. Results JY Capsule reduced levels of BUN and Scr,ameliorated the electrolyte,increased the number of red blood cell and hemoglobin content,and alleviated pathological changes of the kidney tissue. Conclusion JY Capsule can relieve the rat CRF symptoms and postpone the progress of CRF.

The key technologies of sweep-frequency electrical impedance tomography system are presented in detail, which consist of the ones for the excitation signal source, constant current source, analog switch array and signal demodulation. A data acquisition system of sweep-frequency electrical impedance tomography based on high-speed composite-signal (ISP-FLASH) MCU is designed. High-speed composite-signal (ISP-FLASH) MCU is applied to electrode gating, data acquisition and data communication with PC. PC is adopted as the master computer to control inferior devices, receive measurement data and perform image reconstruction. The problem and possible way to develop the measurement system are also mentioned.

Objective To investigate the clinical manifestation of bacterial urinary tract infections among old patients with diabetes in recent seven years.Methods In this retrospective study,contrast analysis of clinical features was per- formed on urinary tract infections in old patients between 56 cases with diabetes and 56 cases without it diagnosed during 1998 to 2005.measuring fasting blood glucose,2 hour blood glucose,plasma albumin,24-hour microalbuminuria. Results Incidences of diabetic nephropathy,diabetic retinopathy,neuropathic bladder in observed group are signifi- cantly higher than control group.FBG、2hPBG、24-hour microalbuminuria are significantly higher than control group and plasma albumin is lower than control group.Conclusion The urinary tract infection in old patients with diabetes is associated with fasting blood glucose concentration,complication,gender,disease period and ages,etc.

Objective To approach a way to induce MSCs to dopaminergic neuron by mesencephalic conditional media and cytokines in vitro,and supply an ideal cells source for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.Methods The rat MSCs were isolated primarily from the femurs and tibias of the Wistar rats.MSCs were cultured,proliferated and purified by passage culture.Cultuered MSCs were divided into the control and the experimental group.In control group,MSCs were cultured without any induction medium.MSCs of experimental group were first cultured at medium containing bFGF for 24 hours.Then media were replaced with induction media which contained the agents as follows,respectively:GM_1,GDNF, GDNF+GM_1,GDNF+GM_1+mesencephalic conditional media.The surface markers of the differentiated neuron,such as NSE and TH were detected by immunocytoehemistry after MSCs were cultured in induction media for 3 and 7 days.Results In control groups,the NSE expression of MSCs was very lower than experimental groups.The percentage of NSE-positive cells of GDNF+GM_1+mesencephalic conditional media group in 7 day((45.257?5.999)/HP)was significantly more than other groups(control group is 2.214?0.779,GM_1 group is 22.014?3.624,GDNF group is 31.345?2.850,GDNF?GM_1 group is 40.314?4.203,P

Objective To prospectively evaluate the value of US,MSCT,EUS and MRI in the quantitative evaluation of the extent of pancreaticobiliary duct obstruction in pancreatic cancer.Methods Consecutive 68 patients with pancreatic carcinoma underwent US,MSCT,EUS and MRI before surgery.The diameter of extrahepatic bile duct and pancreatic duet were measured,and correlation analysis was performed with surgical specimens.Results Diameters of extrahepatic bile duct scaled by US.MSCT,EUS and MRI were(16.60±6.33)mm,(18.90±6.74)mm,(18.80±5.88)nun and(17.26±4.83)mm,and diameter measured from surgical specimens was(18.39±6.05)mm;the correlation among the four imaging examinations and the surgical evaluation were r=0.3839,P=0.1055;r=0.7113,P=0.0011; r=0.3759,P=0.0465;r=0.3376,P=0.2872,respectively. Kappa Values were 0.6285,0.7115,0.6661 and 0.7490,respectively.The diameter of pancreatic duct was(15.90±3.41)mm,(6.83 4-3.70)mm,(6.77±3.22)mm and(5.58±2.65)mm,and diameter measured from surgical specimens was(5.97±2.60)mm,the correlation among the four imaging examinations and the surgical evaluation were r=0.3584,P=0.2895;r=0.6148,P＜0.0001; r=0.7373,P＜0.0001;r=1.0746,P＜0.0001.Kappa values were 4.159,9.094,9.001 and 4.050.All of these parameters were in coherence with surgical findings.Condusions US could be used as the initial method in the assessment of extrahepatic and pancreatic duct obstruction.MRI and MSCT,combined with EUS if necessary,could be used to quantitatively evaluate the extent of pancreaticobiliary obstruction.
