Objective To analyze the implementation effect of formative assessment in nutri-tion and food hygiene. Methods 55 students of Class One from grade 2010 majoring in preventive medicine were taken as the control group, with 56 students of Class Two as the experimental group.The control group used the summative assessment , while the experimental group used the formative assessment. Results were analyzed by course examinations and questionnaire surveys. SPSS 17.0 soft-ware was used and the measurement data were expressed by x±s. Statistical analysis was performed using t test, test, rank sum test, a Yuan linear correlation analysis, with the level of test α=0.05. Results The experimental scores and final scores of experimental group students were significantly higher than the control group and the difference was statistically significant(P values were 0.001, 0.000). The experimental group's overall result is closer to the negative skewed distribution. The ex-perimental group's average score of 89 points is significantly higher than the control group's average score of 79 points(P<0.01), and the usual results and the final results were positively correlated(r=0.865, P<0.001). The survey indicated that the students recognized the application of formative assess-ment in teaching process . Conclusion Formative assessment can help improve the teaching and learning quality in nutrition and food hygiene.

Objective To explore the methods and clinical value of transrectal ultrasound (TRUS) in detecting rectal gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST) with head scanning probe.Methods A total of 12 patients had the ultrasonic examination through the rectum with the head scanning probe.Preoperative ultrasonic findings were compared with the pathological results.Results Of the 12 patients,the patients were divided into three groups,including 3 cases with low-degree severity,6 cases with moderate-degree severity and 6 cases with high-degree severity.The lymph node metastasis was not found near intestines.Rectal GIST appeared as a hypoechoic mass with clear limit、regular form and expanded growth under TRUS.The CDFI showed abundant flow in the tumor and TRUS had an overall accuracy rate of 75.0%(9/12)in the diagnosis of rectal GIST.The accuracy of TRUS in the staging diagnosis of rectal GIST was 83.3%(10/12).Conclusion The TRUS with the head scanning probe is of great value for pre-operative diagnosis and staging of rectal GIST.Rectal water window and felicitous check-up technique can enhance the accuracy of TRUS.

Objective:To investigate the application effects of SBAR communication mode (situation, background, assessment and recommendation) combined with 3D printing model technology in bed-side teaching of trauma orthopaedics.Methods:A total of 80 clinical medicine students were randomly divided into two groups according to the order of the school number, with 40 students in each group. One was experimental group which received SBAR communication mode combined with 3D printing model technology teaching, and the other one was the control group, which received regular reaching mode. At the end of teaching, the teaching effects were evaluated, including the scores of theoretical examinations and operational examinations, total scores and the anonymous questionnaires. SPSS 22.0 was used for recording and statistical analysis.Results:The average scores of theoretical examinations (48.30±1.41), operational examinations (42.20±1.48) and total scores (90.70±1.38) of experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group [(43.40±1.52); (34.80±1.53); (78.10±1.51)], with significant differences ( P <0.05). The anonymous questionnaires showed that the students in the experimental group had a significant advantage in autonomous learning ability, learning enthusiasm, the ability of literature retrieval and analysis and clinical thinking ability, and enhancing students' humanistic care consciousness in clinical work ( P <0.05). While the two groups had the same recognition in improving problem solving ability, teamwork ability and communication ability with patients, with no significant difference ( P > 0.05). Conclusion:The new teaching mode, SBAR mode combined with 3D printing model technology, applied to trauma orthopaedics bed-side teaching is helpful for students to improve their learning interest and autonomous learning ability, cultivate their lifelong learning habits and their comprehensive quality, so this mode will significantly improve the teaching effects, with good application value.

Objective To assess the applicative effect of the flipped classroom in nutrition and food hygiene. Methods 48 students of Class One from Grade 2011 majoring in preventive medicine were taken as the TBL group, with 49 students of Class Two as the flipped classroom group. The TBL group used TBL and the formative assessment, while the flipped classroom group used the flipped classroom and the forma-tive assessment. The teaching effect was evaluated through the unified examination and teaching satisfaction questionnaire survey. SPSS 17.0 statistical software was used for the data t test between the groups, and Wilcoxon test, chi square test were used for the linear correlation analysis of the usual grade and final grade of the flipped classroom group. Results The experimental scores (9.21 ±1.14) and the final scores (66.76±4.53) of the flipped classroom group students were significantly higher than the experimental scores (8.31±1.01) and final scores (61.31±4.37) of the TBL group and the difference was statistically significant (t=4.50, P=0.004; t=5.45, P=0.003). The excellent distribution of the flipped classroom group's overall results were higher than that of the TBL group (u=21.36, P=0.002). The usual scores and the final scores were positively correlated (r=0.960, P=0.000) in the flipped classroom group. The results of the question-naire showed that the flipped classroom group students' satisfaction with the positive impact the teaching methods had on all aspects of their own was higher than that of TBL group (P<0.05). Conclusion The flipped classroom teaching can help improve the students' learning enthusiasm, thinking activity and com-municative competence.

OBJECTIVETo explore the mechanism of acupuncture for treatment of lumbar nerve root compression injury.

METHODSFifty healthy SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups, a normal group, a model group treated by saline, a medication group treated with Caerulein, an acupuncture group treated with acupuncture at L5, L6 Jiaji (EX-B 2) and a warm needle group treated with acupuncture and moxibustion at L5, L6 Jiaji (EX-B 2). The lumbar nerve root compress injury model was made by placing microsilica gel tablet. After they were treated for 14 days, the compressed nerve root was taken and the ultra-microstructure changes of the injured nerve root were observed by electron microscope and changes of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) expressions were investigated by ELISA assay.

RESULTSThe changes of ultra-microstructure of the nerve root were the most obvious in the model group and the changes in the medication group, the acupuncture group and the warming needle group reduced in order; the NOS activity and CGRP content in the nerve root tissue of the compressed area in the warm needle group were significantly reduced as compared with the model group (P < 0.05), but with no significant difference as compared with those in the normal group (P > 0.05).

CONCLUSIONWarm needle treatment can effectively maintain cellular form, and ultra-microstructures of nerve root dorsal root ganglia, and effectively inhibit the release of inflammatory factors NOS and CGRP.

Objective To investigate the advantage and application prospect of 3D printing technology in assisting surgery for complex tibial plateau fractures.Methods The complete clinical data of 41 patients (48 knees) were retrospectively analyzed.And these patients were divided into two groups as 3D printing assisted operation group and traditional operation group,according to whether 3D printing technology was applied.Study was carried out to compare the clinical efficacy of surgery assisted by 3D printing technology and traditional surgery in the treatment of complex tibial plateau fractures.The 3D printing assisted operation group included 18 patients (22 knees,12 males and 6 females),aging from 16 to 68 (mean age 45.5±7.2),and there were 12 cases of Schatzker Ⅴ and 10 Ⅵ.The traditional operation group included 23 patients (26 knees,15 males and 8 females),aging from 19 to 69 (mean age,46.2±6.8),and there were 14 cases of Schatzker Ⅴ and 12 Ⅵ.The operation time,intraoperative blood loss,the Rasmussen score and hospital for special surgery knee score (HSS) at 6 weeks post-operation were analyzed and the difference between the two groups was tested.Results All those patients were followed up for 7 to 20 months (mean 15 months).For 3D printing assisted operation group,the mean operation time was 81.4±6.3 min for Schatzker Ⅴ and 90.6± 15.4 min for Schatzker Ⅵ;the mean intraoperative blood loss was 200.4±72.3 ml for Schatzker Ⅴ and 280.6±101.6 ml for Schatzker Ⅵ;the result of 6-week Rasmussen score was 14 excellent,6 good and 2 fair (excellent and good rate 90.9％);the result of 6-week HSS score was 15 excellent,5 good and 2 fair (excellent and good rate 90.9％).Then for traditional operation group,the mean operation time was 100.4± 15.3 min for Schatzker Ⅴ and 111.5±20.2 min for Schatzker Ⅵ;the mean intraoperative blood loss was 450.4±173.3 ml for Schatzker Ⅴ and 500.5±247.2 ml for Schatzker Ⅵ;the result of 6-week Rasmussen score was 14 excellent,8 good,2 fair and 2 bad (excellent and good rate 84.6％);the result of 6-week HSS score was 13 excellent,8 good,2 fair and 3 bad (excellent and good rate 80.8％).The difference in operation time,intraoperative blood loss had statistical significance between the two groups;but the difference in 6-month post-operation Rasmussen score and HSS score had no statistical significance.Conclusion Compared with traditional surgery,3D printing technology assisted surgery for complex tibial plateau fracture possesses advantage such as shortened operation time,reduced intraoperative blood loss;but there's no evidence for improved knee function at 6 weeks post-operation.

We have evaluated the plague epidemic situation in the Three Rivers Source Region,Qinghai Province in recent 20 years to provide the basis for revising the plague prevention countermeasures.We have analyzed the time distribution and the plague epidemic situation between animals and human beings during twenty years in the Three Rivers Source Region,Qinghai Province by describing epidemiology.The animal plague in the natural source of Marmot plague was extremely serious in the Three Rivers Source Region during the past 20 years.It mainly distributes in Yushu State and Tanggula County,Germu City and the serious season ran through the whole period of marmot camp ground activities and the peak was between June and August.Human plague epidemic took place between May and October each year and reached its peak between July and September.The peak covered about 41.67％ at most.It mainly endemic distributes in Nangqian and Xinghai Country.During the past 20 years,we have totally found 14 human plague epidemics in the Three Rivers Source Region,among which 48 cases took place and there were deaths of 17 cases.The fatality rate was 35.42％.The lung type was the majority among 48 cases,which startde with the glandular type.During the past 20 years the plague epidemic has been active and the animal plague epidemic broke out continuously in the Three Rivers Source Region,Qinghai Province.The variety of animals and insects infected the plague epidemic was increasing.The human plague epidemics is most serious with high fatality rate,but it is on the decline as a whole.

Objective To study the clinical value of color Doppler ultrasonography in typing tuberculous epididymitis.Methods The appearances of color Doppler ultrasound and the findings on operation were analysed in 33 patients with tuberculous epididymitis.Results Of the 33 patients,epididymis appeared as diffusely and heterogeneously enlarged lesions with increased flow in 2 cases,appeared as nodular lesions in 13 cases including nodi with echofree space in 3 cases, nodi with high-level echo patches in 3 cases, and low echo-level nodi in 7 cases. Multiple lesions in scrotum were detected in 17 cases, of whom epididymis up to 11 cases appeared as diffusely enlarged heterogeneous lesions with flow increased.The sonographic appearancs of tuberculous epididymitis could be divided into 3 types:diffusion type, nodus type and complicated type. Nodus type included 3 subtypes: purulence type, calcification type, and cheese type.The accuracy rate of ultrsound diagnosis was 87.9%.Conclusions Testis is easy to be involved when epididymitis appears as diffusion type, so surgical treatments should be early.Purulence type and complicated type need surgical treatments while calcification type does not. Antituberculous drug treatments can be tried before surgical treatments in cheese type.Sonography of urinary system is helpful for the diagnosis of asymptomatic tuberculosis in urinary system when tuberculous epididymitis is first suspected on sonography.

To verify the effect of echinacoside on replication and antigen expression of hepatitis B virus (HBV) by using HBV-transfected HepG2. 2. 15 cells as the in vitro model. The ELISA method was used to determine HBeAg and HBsAg levels in cellular supernatants. The effect of echinacoside on HBV replication was studied by using HBV transgenic mice as the in vivo model. First of all, the HBV DNA level in hepatic tissues was quantified with PCR method. Meanwhile, the serum transaminase levels and hepatic pathological changes were also evaluated. Subsequently, HBV transgenic mice were divided into five groups: the control group, the lamivudine group (50 mg · kg(-1)) and echinacoside high, medium and low dose group (50, 25 and 12.5 mg · kg(-1)). The mice were orally administered with drugs once per day for 30 days. At the 31st day, the mice serum was separated to measure HBsAg, HBeAg and HBV DNA. Additionally, the liver HBV DNA level and histopathological change were detected. The results indicated that echinacoside at 50 and 100 mg · L(-1) suppressed significantly HBsAg and HBeAg expressions on the sixth day, with the maximum inhibition ratios of 42.68% and 46.29%; And echinacoside at 100 mg · L(-1) also showed an inhibitory effect on HBV DNA. Besides, echinacoside at 50 mg · kg(-1) inhibited significantly HBsAg and HBeAg expressions of HBV transgenic mice, with the inhibition ratios of 42.82% and 29.12%, and reduced markedly the serum HBV DNA level in HBV transgenic mice. In conclusion, the study suggested that echinacoside has a strong effect against HBV replication and antigen expression.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical efficacy of syndrome differentiation-based treatment with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) versus losartan therapy in addition to basic treatment for management of proteinuria in patients with chronic kidney disease.

METHODSThis multicenter, randomized, and case-controlled clinical trial was conducted among 81 consecutive patients meeting the inclusion criteria. The patients were randomized consecutively to receive TCM treatments according to the syndrome patterns in TCM (spleen and kidney Qi and Yin deficiency, and spleen and kidney Qi and Yang deficiency, n=60) or oral losartan therapy (50 mg/day, n=21) in addition to the basic treatments. All the patients were followed up for 24 weeks to observe the clinical effects.

RESULTSThe patients in TCM group showed a significantly higher overall response rate (93.33%) than those in losartan group (76.20%, P<0.05). The TCM score in the two groups were all decreased at week 24 as compared with baseline (P<0.01 or P<0.05). The TCM scores in both groups decreased significantly after the treatments as compared with the baseline scores (P<0.05). After a 8-week-long treatment, Scr, eGFR and Cys-C, U-Pro/24 h, and MA/Cr all decreased significantly in TCM group (P<0.05) but showed no significant changes in losartan group (P>0.05).

CONCLUSIONSyndrome differentiation-based TCM treatment in addition to basic treatments can produce satisfactory therapeutic effects on proteinuria in patients with chronic kidney disease by improving the clinical symptoms, reducing TCM symptom scores and proteinuria, and protecting the renal functions.
