Objective To explore the changes of plasma somatostatin(SST) in children with septic shock. Methods The level of plasma SST in children with septic shock (test group,n=21) on an empty stomach at shock stage, blood pressure and heart rate recovery stage, recovery stage(at that time clinical symptoms and signs disappeared, infection indicators such as blood routine and CRP returned to normal, about 6-12 days after admission) were detected by competive radioimmunassay, the level of SST in healthy children(healthy control group,n=25) on an empty stomach on morning was detected, too. The levels of plasma SST between septic shock concbined with paralytic ileus group and without paralytic ileus group were compared. Results 1.Level of plasma SST of test group at shock stage[(44.60?16.83) ng/L]was significantly lower than that of control group[(123.15?6.57) ng/L](t=-12.16 P0.05).The level of plasma SST of children with paralytic ileus [(28.10?7.0) ng/L] was significantly lower than that of children without paralytic ileus [(56.98?9.44) ng/L](t=-7.70 P

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(02):-
Obejective To study the effect of daidzein(Daid) on the enzymes of bone metabolism and bone rebuilding in ovariectomized rats.Method Sixty 3-mon female SD rats were divided into 6 groups:Sham,OVX,OVX-D1~D4 groups.Every day the rats in Sham and OVX groups were given distilled water, and the rats in OVX-D1,OVX-D2,OVX-D3,OVX-D4 groups were given 25,50,75,100 mg/kg bw Daid respectively. After 6 mon,all of rats were killed, and the blood, liver and femur were collected. The content of calcium and phosphorus in serum and the enzymes of bone metabolism were measured. Results The content of calcium, phosphorus and ATPase in serum was increased, but the activity of serum alkaline phosphatase(ALP) and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase(TRAP-5b) was decreased dose-dependently in OVX-D groups compared with OVX group. Conclusion The expression of bone metabolism-associated enzymes could be inhibited, which resulted in inhibition of bone formation and absorbsion in ovariectomized rats. The new balance between bone formation and absorption could be rebuilt by Daid, through the mechanism of decreasing rate of bone conversion.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
Objective Traditional nasolacrimal duct stenting possesses some shortcoming including difficulty of pulling ball head guide wire from the nasal cavity with turbinate hypertrophy and nasal septal deviation. The new method of nose-oral tube track establishment can overcome the forementioned and increase the successful rate. Methods 5 F catheter and arterial sheath were modified to be nasolacrimal duct stent delivery device respectively. Antegrade dacryocystography was taken firstly to display the obstructed site and followed by the modified protocol of inserting the guide wire through nasolacrimal duct and nasal cavity, and establishing the stent delivery track for retrograde stent placement. Results 5 epiphora patients with failure implantation by traditional method were all succeeded through the modified stenting(100%). During 6-mouth follow-up, no serious complications and reocclusion occurred. Conclusion The establishment of eye-nose-mouth-nose of external nasal guide wire track can improve the successful rate of nasolacrimal duct stenting.

In this experiment six methods, calcium chloride(CaCl_(2)) precipitation, polyethylene glycol(PEG,pH7.0) precipitation, polyethylene glycol(PEG,pH11.5) precipitation, aluminum chloride(AlCl_(3)) precipitation,Amicon Utcra centrifugal filter devices and cellulose nitrate membrane were used to concentrate the vaccine poliovirus type 1(PV_(1)) added to water body;experimental conditions for concentration were selected and optimized. The results showed that two methods,CaCl_(2)and PEG(pH 7.0) precipitation were suitable for concentrating virus in large volumes of water while amicon utcra centrifugal filter devices for small ones. The virus recovery of the three methods reached a 100% rate.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2011;46(1):96-101
This study is to prepare the pantoprazole sodium enteric-coated tablet which is compacted by pellets. The enteric-coated pantoprazole sodium pellets were prepared by fluid bed coating technology. The pantoprazole sodium enteric-coated tablets were prepared by direct compression of the enteric-coated pellets and suitable excipients. In vitro dissolution method and scanning electron microscope method were used for the observation of the drug release behavior before and after compression of the pellets. The optimized formulation is: the coating level is 55%, the plasticizer content is 20%, the ratio of Eudragit L30D-55/NE30D is 8 : 2, enteric-coated pellets/excipients (MCC/PPVP/PEG 6000 = 2 : 1 : 1) is 5 : 5, the enteric-coated tablets release in artificial gastric fluid in 2 h is less than 10%, while in artificial intestinal fluid in 1 h is more than 85%. The release behavior of pantoprazole sodium enteric-coated pellets-type tablet is quite well. And it may be used in industrial production.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Infectious Diseases 2009;2(2):74-77
Objective To investigate the mechanism of quinolone resistance in Psendomonas aeruginosa. Methods The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs)of ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin with and without carbonylcyainde-m-chlorophenylhydrazone(CCCP)were determined by agar dilution method.Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and DNA sequencing were used to study the mutations in quinolone resistance-determining region of gyrA and parC genes. The strains were genotyped by enterbacterial repetitive intergenie consensus-PCR(ERIC-PCR).Results Sixteen quinolones-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains were obtained. The MICs of ciprofloxacin and levofloxacin were not reduced significantly by adding CCCP.Thr-83→Ile of gyrA and Ser-87→Leu of parC were found simultaneously in 16 strains of resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa.Analysis of ERIC-PCR products indicated that 16 quinolone-resistant strains had an identical band pattern which was different from that seen in the sensitive strains. Conclusion Mutations in gyrA and parC may be the main mechanism of quinolone resistance in clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

OBJECTIVETo analyze and compare the volatile constituents from M. biondii and M. liliflora.
METHODThe volatile constituents were extracted by head-space solid-phase microextraction, and analyzed by GC-MS.
RESULTSeventy two constituents were identified from M. biondii and M. liliflora, the content of the 25 constituents in both samples were similar, while the kinds of the constituents were obviously different.
CONCLUSIONThe volatile constituents were different between M. biondii and M. liliflora.

10.Obesity and sleep-related breathing disorders.
Acta Academiae Medicinae Sinicae 2011;33(3):235-238
Obesity, with an increasing prevalence, has become one of the most common metabolic diseases. Obesity is associated with many respiratory diseases, especially sleep-related breathing disorders including obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, and overlap syndrome. This article reviews the association between obesity and these sleep-related breathing disorders.
