Based on the lethal rate, positive and negative mutation rate, the optimal doses of UV, HNO2, UV + AO treating S. hygroscopicus NND-52-29 were determined. The mutant strain A19 that was obtained showed the derepres-sive property to glucose and the nigericin yield of A19 could be increased by 128%. When it was subcultured combined with natural screening, its stability was rather satisfied.

Objective:To optimize the alcohol precipitation technology of Qingmai granules. Methods:The relative density of liq-uor,the concentration and time of alcohol precipitation were chosen as the factors,the yield of dry extract and content of diosgenin as the indices,the alcohol precipitation technology was optimized by orthogonal test. Results:The optimal alcohol precipitation technology was as follows:the extraction liquid was concentrated till the relative density was 1. 13-1. 18 g·ml-1 ,ethanol was added until the concen-tration was up to 60% with the alcohol precipitation time of 24h. Conclusion:The optimized technology is stable,reasonable and feasi-ble,which can provide experimental basis for the clinical application of Qingmai granules.

Prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and rectal cancer are common malignancies in the male pelvis. The incidence rate of erectile dysfunction (ED) following radical prostatectomy, cystectomy or rectal cancer surgery is about 25% - 100%. The main cause of post-surgery ED is mainly attributed to injury of neurovascular bundles, which may lead to reduced oxygenation in and fibrosis of the penile tissue. Early penile rehabilitation after surgery can improve or restore the erectile function of the patients. This article focuses on penile rehabilitation after radical pelvic surgery.

Oral sustained- and controlled-release drug delivery systems of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) are a research hotspot in the development of drug-delivery systems for TCM. The quality evaluation system is an important guarantee for the safety and efficiency of these drug-delivery systems. In this paper the methods to construct such quality evaluation system were discussed.

BACKGROUND:The position of median and radial nerves corresponding to elbow is usual y estimated by macroscopical measurements, but there are big data errors when the elbow is bent. OBJECTIVE:To measure and analyze the impacts of elbows in different positions on median and radial nerves under X-ray. METHODS:Ten fresh frozen upper limb specimens were selected. The distance of median and radial nerves to the osseous marks inside the elbow was measured when the elbow was in extension, extension-half pronation, bent at flexion 90 degrees and bent at 90 degrees with the injection of normal saline into the joint capsule, respectively. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The positions of median and radial nerves were not influenced when the elbow was in extension or in extension-half pronation (P>0.05). The distance of median and radial nerves to the osseous mark of the elbow was significantly lengthened when the elbow was moved from from extension to was bent at 90 degrees (P<0.05). The intra-articular injection of normal saline when the elbow flexion 90 degrees significantly elongated the distance of median and radial nerves to the osseous mark of elbow (P<0.05). These results suggest that the elbow in different positions can induce the displacement of median and radial nerves. In addition, the distance between median, radial nerves and the osseous marks of the elbow is obviously lengthened when the elbow is in flexion with intra-articular injection of normal saline.

Purpose To evaluate the application of mismatch repair (MMR) genes proteins expression and methylationspecific to screen for Lynch syndrome patients.Methods 126 endometrial carcinoma patients were tested the protein expression of hMSH2,hMSH6h,hMLH1,hPMS2 by immunohistochemically of SP,and the methylation status of hMLH1 genes by the methylation-specific PCR.Results The result of MMR immunocytochemistry showed that 22％ (28/126) cases lacked MMR protein expression,including hMLH1-/hPMS2-in 12 cases,4 hMSH2-/hMSH6-,6 hPMS2-,3 hMLH6-and 3 hMLH1-.Meanwhile,the methylation-specific PCR test showed that 9 cases was methylation status of hMLH1 genes in 15 cases hMLH1-,and suggested the patients might be sporadic endometrial carcinoma.Conclusion Immunohistochemical of SP staining for MMR proteins in endometrial carcinoma patients,accompanied by testing for the methylation status of hMLH1 genes,may be an effective approach to screen for Lynch syndrome.
