Objective:To investigate the safety and prognostic value of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and surgery for advanced gastric cancer patients with para-aortic lymph node metastasis. Methods:Clinicopathological data of 25 patients admitted to the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Fujian Cancer Hospital from Jan 2015 to Jun 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were treated with SOX chemotherapy for 3 cycles. D 2 + paraaortic lymphadenectomy was performed in patients with stable disease (SD) . After operation, SOX regimen was used for 5 cycles of chemotherapy. Results:After 3 cycles of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, there were 2 cases with progressive disease, 6 cases of SD and 17 cases of partial remission. There was no treatment-related death. Twenty-three patients underwent surgery, including 19(76%) patients of R 0 resection. Tirty-four out of 128 para aortic lymph nodes were metastatic. Postoperative complications occurred in 5(22%) patients, with no mortality . The median progression free survival time and median overall survival time were 20 and 29 months respectively. The 1, 3-year overall survival rates were 80% and 48%, and the 1-year and 3-year progression free survival rates were 72% and 38%, respectively. For those with para-aortic lymph node metastasis the 1-year and 3-year OS rate were 70% and 17%, respectively. Multivariate analysis showed that the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was an independent prognostic factor. Conclusion:Neoadjuvant chemotherapy is among others an independent prognostic factor affecting the post-op survival of advanced gastric carcinoma with para-aortic lymph node metastasis.

National Journal of Andrology 2006;12(2):178-182
Erectile dysfunction is common complication of diabetes mellitus. The incidence of diabetes mellitus induced erectile dysfunction (DMED) is 20% - 75%. DMED appears to be due to vascular-neuropathic and corpus cavernosum smooth muscular damage. To control blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipids is the basis of DMED therapy. In 50% of the patients with DMED, the phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors is effective, while intracavernous pharmacotherapy is effective for more than 90%. Penile prosthesis implantation continues to be the treatment of choice in case of other therapy failure.

BACKGROUND: Silver-matrix composite is usually used as a kind of electrical conductive matedal, which has excellent properties in electrical and heat conducting. MoS2, which used as a common solid lubricating material, has unique anti-frictional and lubricating properties in the process of wearing. Ag-MoS2 composites using in the area of electrical sliding wear were fabricated by adding MoS2 to the silver-matrix. OBJECTIVE: Ag-MoS2 composites with different content of MoS2 were produced to gain the mixture ratio for best properties by the experiments of mechanical and wear test. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The controlled experiment was performed at the Department of Matedal Science and Engineering, Hefei University of Technology from April to May 2008. MATERIALS: Silver powder (Bengbu Gold and Silver Article Factory, China) and MoS2 powder (Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd., China) were used in this study. METHODS: Ag-MoS2 composites for five different contents were fabricated by powder metallurgy method, which included the processes of powder mixture, drying, initial pressure, sintering, and second pressure. MoS2 contents were the MoS2 composite of 12.0%, 13.5%, 15.0%, 16.5%, 18.0% silver- MoS2. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Flexural strength was measured by versatility mechanical testing machine. The microstructures of the composites after sintering were observed by an optical microscope. The electrical sliding friction and wear properties were tested by the electrical wear test machine. The worn surfaces of the samples were observed by a scanning electron microscope. RESULTS: With the increase in MoS2, the flexural strength decreased, the resistivity increased, and the wear loss decreased first, and then increased, which comes the lowest point when the MoS2 content was 15%. CONCLUSION: When the content of MoS2 is 15%, the average properties was the best.

Obiective To compare the sensitivity and specificity of strain imaging(SI)and restredistribution Tl-201(RR-201 TI)SPECT imaging in evaluating myocardial viability among patients with STelevation acute myocardial infarction(AMI).Methods Twenty-six AMI patients underwent echocardiography and RR-201 Tl-SPECT imaging a week(baseline)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)therapy. At baseline, wall motion score(WMS)and systolic strain were assessed,SPECT scoring were performed on 16 segments of left ventricle(LV).WMS was repeated more than 3 months later to assess myocardial viability, which is deemed as reference. Results ①Two hundred and sixty segments in the"at risk"regions were followed up for(5±2)months,among which 201 were identified as viable and 59 were not, according to the WMS.②In comparison to the reference standard, the sensitivity and specificity of RR-201 Tl-SPECT to predict myocardial viability were 87%(175/201)and 58%(34/59)respectively.③The sensitivity and specificity of systolic strain(Set)to predict myocardial viability after AMl were 81% and 66% respectively at the optimal cut-off value of-60%.④Set was moderately concordant with SPECT scoring(Kappa=0.40)and the agreement between the two methods was 77%(199/260).Conclusions In ST-elevation AMI,SI and RR-201 Tl-SPECT appears equivalent in predicting segmental recovery after reperfusion, and SI could be a convenient and low-cost alternative for the non-invasive evaluation of myocardial viability.
