ObjectiveTo evaluate the marginal integrity of restoration in two types of mate- rials, or resin- modified glass ionomer cement and polyacid- modified composite resin (compomer). MethodsRestorations of four kinds of material (GC Fuji Ⅱ LC, VitremerTM, Dyract compomer and F2000 compomer) were placed in the facial Class V cavity preparations in forty noncarious human molar teeth. The teeth were randomly assigned to 4 experimental groups of 10 teeth each. After thermal cy- cling( × 20,5 ～55℃ ), the teeth were immersed in 1％ basic fuchsin dye for 24 hours at room tempera- ture. Staining along the teeth restoration interface was recorded. ResultsThe data indicated signifi- cant differences between all the restorative materials for both occlusal and gingival scores ( P=0.026, P = 0. 000)respectively. Further analysis revealed there were statistically significant differences between GC Fuji Ⅱ LC and others on occlusal margins versus Dyract compomer and others on gingival margins. Conclusion Factors such as dental conditioning, rates of water absorption and thermal coefficient were related to microleakage. Resin - modified glass ionomer cement showed less microleakage than polyacid- modified composite resin tested.

BACKGROUND:Tissue patch is used to increase bone mass after mandibular molar extraction, which is conducive to late-stage repair, but it is unexpectedly found that after implantation of tissue patch, incidence of dry socket is significantly reduced.OBJECTIVE:To assess the efficacy of tissue patch for the control of dry socket caused by mandibular molar extractionvia the method of systematic review. METHODS:MEDLINE (OVID), CENTRAL, EMBASE and CBM were searched for clinical randomized controled trials and clinical controled trials. The keywords were “dry socket, tissue patch, acelular dermis matrix, tooth extraction” in English and Chinese. The references of the included studies and 19 Chinese dental journals were hand-searched. Two reviewers independently assessed the risk of bias using Cochrane Colaboration’s tool, and extracted data. Meta-analysis was delivered with Revman 5.1.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Eight studies, including five randomized controled trials and three clinical controled trials, were included. Totaly 2 052 participants were involved. Seven of the included studies had moderate risk of bias and one had high risk of bias. Meta analysis showed that implantation of the tissue patch into the extraction socket could reduce 86% of the risk of dry socket (relative risk=0.14, 95% confidence interval [0.08, 0.26], P < 0.000 01). Sensitivity analysis showed that this outcome was relatively stable. Implantation of tissue patch into extraction socket could significantly reduce the risk of dry socket, but more randomized controled trials are needed.

The research data at home and abroad show that the overall burnout rate of clinical professional graduate students was high. They are vulnerable to burnout because of long duty hours, learn-ing pressure, intense and overloading work and especially the significantly reduced personal accomplish-ment in the situation of the contradiction between doctors and patients in our country. Burnout not only re-sults in psychological distress and physical symptoms, but also has negative effect on the quality of graduate medical education during residency training. Therefore, educators need to develop an active awareness of burnout and ought to perform interventions such as formulating the appropriate learning goals, improving the work efficiency, reducing work hours, positive psychological counseling and stress management training to prevent such occurrences.

Objective:To study the action of Xinnaotong on adhesion molecule expression by cultured endothelial cells and platelets. Methods: Tumor necrosis factor ?(TNF ?) stimulated ICAM I expression on the cell surface was studied with human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVEC).Thrombin stimulated expression of platelet P selectin was studied with human blood platelets. Adhesion molecule expression was measured by flow cytometry. Results: ICAM I molecule expression on HUVEC was significantly stimulated by TNF ?. The stimulatory effect of TNF ? on HUVEC was inhibited by Xinnaotong(0.25～2g/L) in a concentration dependent manner. The same dose of Xinnaotong can inhibit the p selectin expression on human blood platelets stimulated by thrombin. Conclusion: Xinnaotong inhibites expression of adhesion molecues(ICAM I, p selectin) in HUVEC and in human blood platelets.

Objective To observe the influence of environment stimulation on learning and memory ability and hippocampal pathology of neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD).Methods The models of HIBD SD rats were established by the method of Rice, and were divided randomly into three groups: enriched environment stimulation group (EE), impoverished environment stimulation group (IE), and standard environment stimulation group (SE). The sham-operation rats were served as control group. Different environment stimulation was administrated to the rats since day 1 after HIBD.On the day 28,Morris water maze was used to evaluate the learning and memory ability. HE staining and nissl stain were employed to observe the pathological change and the number of neurons in hippocampus of rats.Results The learning and memory ability of EE group was significantly higher than that of SE group (P0.05), and the ability of SE group was higher than that of IE group ( P0.05). Objective To assess the value of pulmonary artery CT obstruction index for the evaluation of the severity of pulmonary embolism (PE),and to investigate the relation between pulmonary artery CT obstruction index and D-dimer levels.Methods 125 patients were diagnosed as PE by computed tomographic pulmonary angiography (CTPA)and D-dimer.Patients were separated into high-risk group and non-high risk group.CT obstruction index,D-dimer levels,diameter of the pulmonary artery were compared between two groups. Spearman’s rank correlation coefficients were used to assess the correlation between the CT obstruction index and the D-dimer levels,diameter of the pulmonary artery.Results CT congestion index of high-risk PE group was obviously higher than that of the non-high risk group (P=0.000).The diameter of pulmonary artery in high-risk PE group was obviously greater than that of the non-high risk group,the difference was statistically significant (P=0.000).No statistically significant difference was found in D-dimer levels between the two groups (P=0.103).There was no correction with CT congestion index and D-dimer levels(P=0.71).Conclusion The D-dimer levels of serum was a predictor of pulmonary embolism,cannot evaluate the severity of PE.CT obstruction index can reflect the severity of PE in some extent as an indicator of PE,there was no correlation with CT obstruction index and D-dimer levels.

Objective To explore exenatide in the treatment of metformin(MET)alone,sulfonylurea (SU)alone or MET + SU combination therapy with poor glycemic control in type 2 diabetic pa-tients and to find effective nursing measures.Methods 24 patients were randomly divided into the con-trol group and the exenatide group with 12 patients in each group.In the exenatide group,exenatide 5μg twice a day for 4weeks,then 10μg twice a day for 12 weeks.Changes of HbAlc,body weight,BMI,FBG,P2hBG,and rate of adverse reaction were compared between two groups.Results Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc),body weight,BMI,FBG,P2hBG in the control group before and after treatment showed no significant difference,while the exenatide group showed better results compared with those before treatment and the control group.Nursing intervention played evident effect on reducing adverse effect such as nausea,vomiting,diarrhea,low blood sugar,headache.Conclusions For patients with type 2 diabetes,using MET,SU alone or MET + SU combination therapy showed poor results of blood sugar control,addition of exenatide therapy can effectively control blood sugar,nursing intervention can significantly alleviate the adverse effects of patients.

Abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) plays an important role in several pathological processes of cardiovascular diseases. In this study, the effects of XCT790, a potent and selective inverse agonist of estrogen-related receptor alpha (ERRalpha), on rat VSMCs proliferation and related signal pathways were investigated. The proliferative activity of VSMCs was determined by CCK-8 assay. The mRNA levels of ERRalpha, PGC-1alpha, OPN and MCAD were assayed by RT-PCR. The protein levels of ERRalpha, ERK2 and p-ERK1/2 were evaluated by Western blotting. ELISA was used to assess the protein expression of VEGF. The results showed that XCT790 (5-20 micromol x L(-1)) inhibited rat VSMCs proliferation, and the expression of ERRalpha and its target genes, as well as p-ERK1/2, were also inhibited. XCT790 inhibited VSMCs proliferation in a dose-dependent manner at the dose range from 5 to 20 micromol x L(-1) and in a time-dependent manner at the dose range from 10 to 20 micromol x L(-1). These findings demonstrate that XCT790 inhibits rat VSMCs proliferation by down-regulating the gene level of ERRalpha and thus inhibiting the ERK signal pathway, suggesting that ERRalpha may be a novel potential target for therapeutic approaches to inhibit VSMCs proliferation, which plays an important role in several cardiovascular diseases.

The paper is about the systematic studies of biological characteristics of 15 stains rhizobia isolated purified from Acacia confusa grew in Guangxi karst environment.The results showed that there were typical characteristics of rhizobia.there were negative reaction about use of 3-ketolactose and beef extract peptone nutrient agar medium,and positive reaction about use of starch and citrate medium,and produce acid in reaction of BTB and litmus milk medium,(NH4)2HPO4 was used as nitrogen sources and both four monosaccharides and three disaccharides could be utilized as carbon sources in 15 strains rhizobia isolated Acacia confuse.Among the 15 strains for the tests,11 strains could deoxidize the nitrate of medium into nitrite,14 strains could grow well on NaCl solution concentration 3.0 %～4.0 %,14 strains could grow at 39℃,13 strains may grow on highest pH12 and 4 strains on lowest pH4 cultrue medium.15 strains can grow in 10% and 11 strains in 10%～30% of CaCO3 solution concentration.
