The study is aimed to assess the genetic diversity and genetic relationship of 18 Sarcandra glabra resources from different populations, and guide parent selection of cross breeding between these resources. The molecular marker technique ISSR was used to investigate the genetic diversity of the 18 resources. Data was analyzed by POPGEN 32, and a cluster diagram was presented by UPGMA. One hundred and ninety-eight amplified fragments were obtained using 23 ISSR primers. One hundred and eighty-four polymorphic loci were identified. Nei's genetic diversity index (h) was 0.32, Shannon diversity index (I) was 0.485 4. The genetic similarity coefficient among the resources ranged from 0.383 8 to 0.878 8 in an average of 0.661 2. The genetic distance between sample S2 and sample S18 was the farthest, so as between sample S3 and sample S18 both Nei's genetic distance was 0.957 5, The genetic distance between sample S4 and sample S5 was the closest, the Nei's genetic distance was 0.129 2,and the sample S1, S2, S3, S7, S10 were significantly different from the others based on the clustering analysis, the three groups S2 vs S3, S2 vs S6, S2 vs S18 were the best parent group selection. There was a middle level of genetic differentiation in the resources. The genetic distance between resources gives useful information to guide parent selection of cross breeding.

OBJECTIVETo explore the scavenging action of tenuigenin (TEN) on intracerebral amyloid β protein (Aβ) aggregation and the abnormal phosphorylated tau protein and its mechanism in Alzheimer's disease (AD) rats' brain.
METHODSAβ1-40 was injected into the right CA1 region hippocampus to establish the AD model. Successfully modeled rats were divided into the model group, the low, middle, high TEN group. Rats were administered with TEN (18.5, 37.0, 74.0 mg/kg) by gastrogavage. Besides, a sham-operation group was set up. Expression levels of Aβ1-40 and Tau p-Ser262 were detected by immunohistochemistry. Expression levels of ubiquitin (Ub) and Ub-protein ligase E3 were measured by Western blotting. The content of 26S proteasome was detected by ELISA.
RESULTSImmunohistochemical results showed that the number of Aβ and Tau p-Ser262 positively reacted neurons significantly increased in model group, when compared with the sham-operation group (P < 0.01). Results of Western blot showed expression levels of ubiquitinated protein were up-regulated and those of Ub-protein ligase E3 were down-regulated in the model group (P < 0.01). ELISA results showed that the content of 26S proteasome significantly decreased in AD rats' brain (P < 0.01). Compared with the model group, expression levels of Aβ1-40, Tau p-Ser262, and Ub significantly decreased; expression levels of Ub-protein ligase E3 apparently increased; the content of 26S proteasome significantly increased in each TEN treatment group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). Best effect was shown in 37.0 mg/kg and 74.0 mg/kg TEN groups.
CONCLUSIONSUb proteasome pathway (UPP) participated in the occurrence of AD. TEN could obviously reduce intracere- bral Aβ1-40 accumulation and abnormal tau phosphorylation.

Objective To evaluate the CT findings and classification of the Le Fort fracture. Methods Sixty-two cases with Le Fort fractures were studied with thin-slice high-resolution CT scanning and analyzed with three-dimensional(3D)imaging reconstruction. Results Of the 62 patients,10 had Le Fort type Ⅰ fracture,9 had Le Fort type Ⅱ fracture,8 had Le Fort type Ⅲ fracture, and 35 had various combinations of the three types of Le Fort fractures, including 18 Le Fort Ⅰ+Ⅱ fracture,7 Le Fort Ⅰ+ Ⅱ+Ⅲ fracture and 10 Le Fort Ⅱ+Ⅲ fracture.Fifty-five cases had associated multiple fractures in the maxillofacial region. On 2D CT images,Le Fort fracture manifested as multiple and complex fractures. Though 2D image was better than 3D image in accurately defining tiny fractures and fractures of deep structures, the diagnosis of Le Fort fracture could not be correctly made solely on 2D image.3D CT clearly and stereoscopically demonstrated the entire shape and orientation of Le Fort fracture, thus facilitating the correct classification of Le Fort fracture. Conclusion 3D CT image is important in providing information about the space relationship of Le Fort fracture, thus very valuable for the preoperative planning.

Objective To explore the clinical and histopathological features of metanephric adenoma (MA). MethodsClinical and pathological data of 10 cases of MA were analyzed retrospectively. There were 4 males and 6 females, aged from 33 to 65 years, with an average of 45 years.2 patients had flank pain,4 patients had gross hematuria, and 4 patients were found by physical examination. The average diameter of tumor was 4.5 cm (2.5 - 8.0 cm).All patients were diagnosed as renal tumor by CT scan.9 patients underwent radical nephrectomy and 1 patient underwent partial nephrectomy. Results Pathological examination found that the tumors are composed of densely packed small uniform cells with regular nuclei that formed a tubular or adenoid pattern.Mitotic figures were absent or rare.4 patients were diagnosed as MA,2 cases were diagnosed as low-grade malignant MA,and 4 cases were diagnosed as MA with malignant component (2 cases of adenocarcinoma,1 case of chromophobe cell carcinoma, and 1 case of well differentiated papillary adenocarcinoma),7 cases were followed up for 22 months ( 10 to 34 months) without recurrence or metastasis. Conclusions MA is very rare benign renal tumor originating from epithelium, and a few are malignant, and some may contain malignant ingredients.Nephron-sparing surgery and radical nephrectomy are eligible for the treatment of MA.Considering the uncertainty of the biological behavior and cellular origin of MA,a long-term follow-up is necessary.
