Atomoxetine is a noradrenaline transmitter reuptake inhibitor which can selectively inhibit presynaptic noradrenaline transport protein, strengthen noradrenaline's resupination effect, and increases noradrenaline's activity released by synaptic cleft to improve the symptoms of the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)patients.ADHD patients often accompany with other psychological diseases like oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety disorder, which may hinder the diagnosis of ADHD.There is still no accepted effective medicine nowadays.Currently, research on the treatment of the ADHD is more and more popular.Good therapeutic effect of atomoxetine to treat ADHD has been found in resent studies. This article summarized the current management of using atomoxetine to treat ADHD.

OBJECTIVE To study the effects of levofloxacin on QT correction dispersion(QTcd) interval in elderly patients hospitalized with acute exacerbations of COPD(AECOPD).METHODS Totally 124 patients received IV levofloxacin(500 mg qd) for 10-14 days.Evaluations included of 12-lead ECGs at baseline and blood examination before treatment, day 5 and after treatment.RESULTS QT correction(QTc) interval was no significant changes, but the QTcd interval was with significant prolongation.CONCLUSIONS IV levofloxacin could not cause QTc interval prolongation, but could make QTcd interval prolongation, which is a potential risk of arrhythmia in elderly patients with AECOPD.

ObjectiveTo study the expression of AKT2 gene in liver cancer and its relationship to tumor progression.MethodsThe expression of AKT2 in liver cancer was detected by SP immunohistochemical stainin and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).Four patients with benign liver tumors were used as control.ResultsThe positive rates of AKT2 in liver cancer tissue and benign control tissue were 62.5% (28/32) and 0% (0/4),respectively.The difference was significant. In addition,a positive expression of AKT2 correlated significantly with poor differentiation, positive lymph node and distant metastasis. The median survival after surgery was significantly shorter in patients with positive than with negative AKT2 (76d vs 463d).ConclusionThe detection of AKT2 was useful in assessing the progression of liver cancer,in determining prognosis and eventually in rendering a possible target for novel therapeutic strategies.

Objective To explore the feasibility and value of laparoscopic-assisted surgery(LAS) for colorectal cancer. Methods The clinical data of 51 cases of LAS for colorectal cancer were reviewed retrospectively.Of them,3 cases were converted to open operation, and in 48 cases LAS for colorectal cancer was completed.Among them,9 cases underwent right hemicolectomy,8 cases left hemicolectomy,14 cases sigmoid resection,9 cases rectal anterior resection, and 6 cases Miles operation. Results No intra-operative deaths occurred. The average operation time was 195(150-320)min with 120(40-300)mL average blood loss. The average number of lymph nodes excised was 8(2-26).The time of bowel function recovery was 20-72h after operation. The average hospital stay after operation was 8(7-10)d.No major intra-operative blood loss nor postoperative complications were observed. The follow-up time was from 3-54months for 45(88.2%) patients. Two cases with Ducke′s C rectal cancer died, one died of liver metastasis 17 months after operation, and the another died of diffuse peritoneal metastasis 19 months after operation. There was no trocar port tumor metastasis and no local tumor recurrence at the small abdominal incision. Conclusions LAS of colorectal cancer is technically feasible and has advantages such as less surgical trauma, less bleeding and quick recovery. It is a mini-invasive,safe and efficient treatment for colorectal cancer.

AIM:To study the effect of captopril on calcineurin and NF-?B p65 in the signal transduction pathway of the cardiovascular remodeling in hypertensive rats.METHODS:Using a animal model of hypertension induced by abdominal aortic banding, the rats were treated with captopril for 10 weeks. The blood pressure was observed with a tail cuff method. The heart weight and heart weight/body weight were measured. The expression of calcineurin and NF-?B p65 were studied by using immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:After treated with captopril, the blood pressure of the model rats was decreased(P

Objective To explore life experience in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with the habit of exercise for more than 5 years,to enhance the confidence of participating in the rehabilitation in other patients, to help the medical staff pay more attention to guide the patients with COPD to take up the rehabilitation exercise. Methods The narrative research method in qualitative research was used to analyze the collected data. Results The study found that the coping approach of the contradiction between exercise and dyspnea, the ability to live together with the disease peacefully and the enthusiasm of persuing life were deserved to be learned. Conclusions Full of perseverance and persisted rehabilitation exercise may alleviate the symptoms, reduce the number of acute exacerbation of COPD and improve the quality of life for COPD patients. Medical staff should encourage COPD patients to participate in the rehabilitation in the right time with appropriate methods.

Objective To determine the value of five repetition sit-to-stand test (FTSST) to evaluate lower limb function in the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods Sixty-one patients with COPD were tested for FTSST,isokinetic testing muscle strength for lower limb,6-minute walking test. The relationship between FTSST time and muscle strength,6-minute walking test distance (6MWD) were analyzed. Results FTSST time was (7.86±2.21) s,extensor peak torque was (67.58± 24.83) Nm,extensor relative peak torque was 0.95(0.46) Nm/kg,6MWD was (444.05±112.53) m.FTSST time related to extensor peak torque, extensor relative peak torque,6MWD and types of complication, correlation coefficient values were-0.303,-0.393,-0.428,F =2.813,P < 0.05.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that when the dependent variable was FTSST time, the variables of the equation were 6MWD and types of complication. Conclusions FTSST can be used for the rapid evaluation of lower extremity function in patients with COPD.The lower limb function gets worse, the FTSST time will be longer.Nursing staff should pay more attention to the lower limb function of patients with COPD,along with complications, using FTSST to evaluate lower extremity function.
