Objective To understand the schistosomiasis control knowledge, attitude, and practice(KAP),and influenc-ing factors of behaviors among residents in Jiangsu Province,so as to provide the evidence for making effective health education and health promotion models. Methods The probability proportionate to size sampling(PPS)and multi-stage sampling meth-ods were adopted to sample the research objects. A questionnaire survey of schistosomiasis control KAP was conducted in the res-idents of 16 to 69 years old in schistosomiasis endemic areas of Jiangsu Province, and the results were statistically analyzed. Re-sults The total awareness rate of the participants was 95.98%for schistosomiasis control knowledge. The correct rates of atti-tude and practice were 89.06%and 77.43%,respectively. The awareness/correct rates of knowledge, attitude and practice re-duced in turns significantly(χ2=1282.96,P<0.01). The knowledge awareness rate of fishermen and boatmen was 90.98%, but their attitude correct rate was only 53.81%(χ2=120.52,P<0.01). The unconditional logistic regression analysis showed that with the education level increasing, their practice correct rate rose, and the participants with the college degree or above had a higher correct rate compared to illeterate ones(OR=6.411,95%CI:4.896-8.395). The practice correct rate of the fisher-men and boatmen was only 5.1%of the rate of the farmers(OR=0.051,95%CI:0.029-0.091). Conclusions The total aware-ness rate of basic knowledge of schistosomiasis prevention and control in the residents of Jiangsu Province has reached the re-quirements in the"National Schistosomiasis Control Long-term Planning Outline(2004-2015)",but the correct rate of behav-iors is low. The education level, occupation and residential areas affect the health behaviors of schistosomiasis prevention and control. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out targeted health promotion activities to promote the formation of healthy lifestyle and behaviors.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical results of the treatment of severe infantile hemangioma with high-dose propranolol in Chinese.
METHODS56 cases with severe infantile hemangioma were treated with propranolol. Clinical evaluation, electrocardiography, and experimental examination of liver function and heart function were performed before treatment. The daily dose of propranolol was increased from 1 mg/kg at the first day to 1.5 mg/kg at the second day, and to 2 mg/kg at the third day. The propranolol was given twice a day. The treatment was lasted for six months. The patients were visited every month.
RESULTSThe lesion color was changed after 2-4 days of treatment in all the cases. All the lesions were dramatically improved after one month of treatment. The ulceration were healed, except one case. Until now, complete regression was achieved in 10 cases and marked improvement in 46 cases. Side effects were happened in 3 cases, including one case of abnormal liver function, one case of CK-MB increase and one case of continuous increase of CK-MB, LDH, ALT, GGT.
CONCLUSIONSHigh-dose Propranolol is very effective in the treatment of infantile hemangioma with minor side effects and short disease period. It might he used as the first-line treatment for infantile hemangioma.

OBJECTIVETo demonstrate that estrogen stimulates the angiogenesis of children' s hemangioma.
METHODSA piece of hemangioma biopsy was embedded in fibrin gel, and a model in vitro of angiogenesis of human hemangioma was then established. The angiogenesis of hemangioma in each group was interfered by the estrogen and tamoxifen. There were four groups divided into the followings: the group with estrogen, the group with tamoxifen, the group with estrogen + tamoxifen and the control. The dimension of newborn tubule area in the 3rd, 6th, 9th day after the culture was calculated to compare statistically differences among the groups.
RESULTSIn the model of angiogenesis of hemangioma, microvessels grew out from the tissue sample in 2 to 3 days after the culture, and in 8 to 9 days a complex network of microvessels had been shown, the tending to inactivity. On the 3rd,6th and 9th day after the culture the dimension of newborn tubule area of the group of estrogen [(2.84 +/- 0.20) mm2 (12.93 +/- 0.85) mm2 (22.47 +/- 1.40) mm2] were larger than those of the control [(1.98 +/- 0.17) mm2, (7.51 +/- 0.48) mm2, (11.26 +/- 0.73) mm2]. Those of the group of estrogen + tamoxifen [(1.08 +/- 0.11) mm2, (3.54 +/- 0.31) mm2, (5.72 +/- 0.40 mm2] and the group of tamoxifen [(1.13 +/- 0.14) mm2 (4.26 +/- 0.29) mm2, (6.08 +/- 0.42) mm2] were smaller than those of the groups of the estrogen and the control (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSThe estrogen may stimulate the angiogenesis of children's hemangioma, and the tamoxifen may reverse the process.

Objective To observe the mechanical allodynia of affected extremity and the leakage of Evans blue when performing thermal stimulation on the threshold, and explore the efficacy of microwave on rats models of neuropathic pain and the optimum temperature and other ideal parameters for this treatment by performing microwave coagulation treatment under different temperatures to them. Methods Forty-two SD rats were induced the models of spared nerve injury (SNI) on sciatic nerves, then were equally randomized into 3 groups: control group (only inserting microwave coagulation needle but not heating), 42℃ microwave coagulation treatment group and 60℃ microwave coagulation treatment group (n=14). The 50% paw withdrawal threshold of the affected extremity was measured 1 d before and 1, 2, 4, and 6 weeks after treatment. The leakage of Evans blue in injured tissue of the affected extremity when performing thermal stimulation on the threshold was observed 2 weeks after treatment and compared between each 2 groups. Results The 50% paw withdrawal threshold was stable in control group, 42℃ microwave coagulation treatment group and 60℃ microwave coagulation treatment group 1 d before treatment; no significant differences were noted between each 2 groups (P>0.05). The 50% paw withdrawal threshold of 60℃ microwave coagulation treatment group 1, 2, 4, 6weeks after treatment was significantly increased as compared with that in the control group and 42℃microwave coagulation treatment group (P<0.05). The concentrations of leakage of Evans blue in the 42℃ microwave coagulation treatment group ([9.96±1.01] g/g) and 60℃ microwave coagulation treatment group ([7.41±1.37] g/g) were significantiy decreased as compared with those in the control group ([14.8±2.88] g/g, P<0.05). Conclusion Microwave coagulation can improve the mechanical hyperalgesia of in rats with neuropathic pain induced by SNI, and 60℃ is the proper temperature.Inflammation is inhibited by microwave coagulation and this might be one of the mechanisms to alleviate the pain.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the methods of diagnosis and surgical treatment for nonfunctional islet cell tumor (NICT).
METHODSForty-four patients with non-functional islet cell tumor treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University during January 1968 to June 2008 were analyzed retrospectively. There were 9 males and 35 females, aged from 7- to 70-years-old. Clinical manifestation: 15 cases (34.1%) of abdominal masses, 17 patients (38.6%) with epigastric or back pain, 5 cases of jaundice, 5 cases (11.4%) for upper abdominal fullness or vomiting, 10 cases (22.7%) of pancreatic tumor noticed by routine health checkups or imaging examinations. Imaging examination: CT scan, sonography, ERCP, MRI, upper GI series were performed in 33 (75.0%), 16 (36.4%), 6 (13.6%), 2 (4.5%), and 10 cases (22.7%) respectively. Operation methods: 39 patients (88.6%) underwent surgical resection and the other 5 patients did not.
RESULTS
COMPLICATIONSpancreatic fistula in 7 patients (15.9%), intra-abdominal bleeding in 4 (9.1%), gastrojejunal anastomosis outlet obstruction in 1 (2.3%), biliary fistula in 2 (4.5%) and incisional infection in 3 (6.8%). Surgery related mortality happened in 2 patients (4.5%), both treated before 1999. Twenty-five patients underwent operation between January 1999 and June 2008 were followed up for 6 to 108 months. All survive except one died 75 months after the surgery for unknown reason.
CONCLUSIONSNo specific clinical manifestation is recognized for non-functional islet cell tumor. Spiral CT is an optimal diagnostic method, while surgery is the first choice for treatment. Middle segmental pancreatectomy has become an alternative surgical protocol for NICT.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2021;37(6):836-840
OBJECTIVES:
To identify whether the relationship between Zhang A, Zhang B, Zhang C and Zhang X is the half-sibling relationship whose mother is sister (hereinafter referred to as the special half-sibling relationship) or the common first cousin relationship and discuss the application of ITO method in discriminating the special kinship.
METHODS:
DNA was extracted from blood stain of four identified individuals, PowerPlex® 21 System and AGCU 21+1 STR kit were used to detect autosomal STR genetic markers. Investigator® Argus X-12 QS kit was used to detect the X chromosome STR genetic markers, the special half-sibling index (SHSI) and first cousin index (FCI) and their likelihood ratio (LR) were calculated by ITO method.
RESULTS:
The LR results of SHSI to FCI, which were calculated based on autosomal STR genotyping and the analysis of X-STR genotyping results suggested that the relationship between Zhang A, Zhang B, Zhang C and Zhang X was inclined to be a special half-sibling relationship.
CONCLUSIONS
For the identification of special kinship, it is necessary to comprehensively apply various genetic markers according to the case. After the conclusion that shared alleles cannot be excluded from the analysis, ITO method can be further used to establish discriminant assumptions according to the specific case to obtain objective and reliable identification opinions.

The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between histopathological subtype and the probability of inguinal lymph node metastasis (ILNM) in patients with penile squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC). The clinical records of 198 consecutive patients with PSCC were analyzed retrospectively. Primary lesions were reevaluated according to the 2016 World Health Organization (WHO) histopathological classification. We retrieved the clinicopathological factors from the medical records including age, clinical lymph node stage, pathological tumor stage, lymphatic invasion, and nerve invasion. Uni- and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to explore the risk factors of ILNM. Multivariate analyses identified clinical lymph node stage (P = 0.000), pathological tumor stage (P = 0.016), histologic grade (P = 0.000), and risk group of histological subtypes (P = 0.029) as independent predictors for ILNM. Compared with the low-risk group of PSCC subtypes, the intermediate- (HR: 3.66, 95% CI: 1.30-10.37, P = 0.021) and high-risk groups (HR: 28.74, 95% CI: 2.37-348.54, P = 0.008) were significantly associated with ILNM. In conclusion, the histopathological subtype of the primary lesion is a significant predictor for ILNM in patients with PSCC.

AL3810, a molecular dual inhibitor of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) and fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR), has earned the permission of phase II clinical trial for tumor treatment by China FDA. As a reversible ATP-competitive inhibitor, AL3810 targets ATP-binding site on intracellular region of VEGFR and FGFR, whereas, AL3810 lacking interplay with extracellular region of receptors rendered deficient blood-brain tumor barrier (BBTB) recognition, poor brain penetration and unsatisfactory anti-glioma efficacy. Objective To evaluate the actual effect of the schistosomiasis control program in Jiangsu Province from 2010 to 2015. Methods A total of 67 schistosomiasis-endemic counties in 10 cities were selected, and a combination of retrospective investigation and on-site investigation was adopted to collect and record the epidemic data of the counties from 2010 to 2015, and a retrospective survey database of epidemic situation was established. The effects of integrated control strategies with both Oncomelania hupensis snail control and infection source control were evaluated. Results From 2010 to 2015, 2 465 911 persons who lived in endemic areas were detected for schistosomiasis, with 16 974 positive cases of blood examinations, and 8 positive cases of fecal examinations. Totally 5 145 people with advanced schistosomiasis were treated and 40 460 people with the history of schistosome cercarial-infested water contact received the expanded chemotherapy. A total of 127 636 cattle raised in the endemic areas were detected, and 51 619 cattle (head-times) with the history of cercarial-infested water contact also received the expanded chemotherapy. The area with snails control by molluscicides was 18 604.84 hm2. By the end of 2015, schistosomeinfected snails had not been found and there was no zoological schistosome infection for 5 consecutive years, and in addition, there had been no acute schistosome-infected persons for 6 consecutive years in the whole province. The area with snails dropped to 1 977.18 hm2, with a decreasing rate of 55.24% compared with that in 2010. Conclusion After the implementation of the plan for the prevention and control of schistosomiasis in Jiangsu Province (2010–2015), the prevention and control of schistosomiasis has achieved remarkable effects and realized the goal of the plan.
