The primary influencing factors to NDS score 1, in decreasing order of impact were volume of infarction, position of infarction, hs-CRP and FBS. While the primary influencing factors to NDS score 3 at the end of 1 month treatment, in decreasing order of impact, were NDS score 1, size of infarction, FG, hs-CRP and TC. Conclusions Volume of infarction and hs-CRP are very important determining factors in both NDS score 1 at the beginning of the treatment and NDS score 3 at the end of 1 month treatment. However, in determining NDS score 3 at the end of 1 month treatment, the impact of FG is greater than hs-CRP. The other influencing factors include FBS, TC and so on. Therefore we conclude that it is helpful to recover from neurologic deficit through lowing these influencing factors directly by medication.

Objective To observe the clinical, neuropathogical, neurophysiological characteristics of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, type 1A (CMT1A) which was similar to chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy(CIDP).Methods The clinical data, neuroelectrophysiological changes and pathological features of sural nerve biopsy were taken from 2 CMT1A patients who were proven to be 17p12 duplication with CIDP features, and analyzed comprehensively. Results Two CMT1A cases with classical chronic course showed both subacute course and clinical manifestations similar to CIDP, however, the changes of neuroelectrophysiology and pathological characteristics of the nerve biopsy in 2 cases were different from CIDP in some way. We confirmed the chronic inflammatory demyelinating type of the CMT1A patients whom the immunotherapy was effective on.Conclusion The classical CMT1A 17p12 duplication patients who obtained immunotherapy effects might resemble CIDP both in clinical course and manifestation.

Objective To explore the functional impairment characteristics of acute stroke patients and cor- relate them to the functional independence after rehabilitation therapy. Methods Seventy-nine inpatients with stroke were divided into hemorrhage group and infarct group according to their condition.They are assessed by using measures of ESS,MBI,MMSE,Sheikh,Fugl-Meyer Balance and Fugl-Meyer motor assessment before rehabilitation treatment.After 1 month of treatment,all the patients were evaluated again using FIM.Correlation analysis was con- ducted with all the parameters. Objective Human lung adenocarcinoma SPC-A1/DTX cells have a higher radioresistance than SPC -A1cells. This study was to investigate the role of Aurora-An/uclear factor κB ( NF-κB) in the radioresistance of human lung adenocarcinoma SPC-A1/DTX cells and its possible molecular mechanisms . Metho ds We collected human lung adenocarcinoma SPC-A1 and SPC A1/DTX cells and divided them into four groups:sh-Aurora-A ( Aurora-A plasmid interference ) , sh-NC, NF-κB inhibition ( SPC-A1/DTX +NF-κB inhibitor ) , and DMSO control .We measured the in vitro radio-sensitivity of the cells by MTT assay , determined their proliferation ability by cloning assay , and detected the mRNA and protein expressions of the target genes by real -time quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot , respectively . Results The 50% effective doses ( ED50 ) of the SPC-A1 and SPC-A1/DTX cells on radiotherapy were (6.5 ±0.3) and (12.8 ±0.6) Gy, respectively, with statisti-cally significant difference between the two groups ( P <0.01 ) .In the radiation doses of 0, 2, 4, and 6 Gy, the numbers of the cloned SPC-A1 cells were 345 ±20 , 252 ±22 , 170 ±15 , and 81 ±10 , sig-nificantly lower than those of the cloned SPC -A1/DTX cells (402 ±21, 370 ±18, 301 ±16, and 252 ±15) (P<0.05).The protein and mRNA expressions of Aurora-A were remarkably higher in the SPC-A1/DTX than in the SPC-A1 cells (1.00 ±0.08 and 1.00 ±0. 06 vs 0.49 ±0.03 and 0.22 ±0.02, P<0.05).MTT assay showed a higher ED50 in the sh-NC than in the sh-Aurora-A cells ([11. 8 ±0.5] vs [7.1 ±0.3] Gy, P<0.01) as well as in the control than in the NF-κB inhibition group ([11.7 ±0.5] vs [6.1 ±0.3] Gy, P<0.01).Inhibition of Aurora-A increased the expression of IκBa by 2.18 ±0.32 times (P<0.01) and that of NF-κB by 0.24 ±0.03 times (P<0.01).The expressions of IκBa (1.00 ±0.05) and NF-κB (1.00 ±0.04) were significantly lower in the parent strains of SPC-A1 than 0.65 ±0.04 and 2.18 ±0.15 in the drug-resistant strains of SPC-A1/DTX (P<0.01). Conclusi on Auro-ra-A/NF-κB is involved in the radioresistance of human lung adenocarcinoma SPC-A1/DTX cells.

Objective To detect the clinical features and prognostic factors of nasal cavity malignancy with breast metastasis.Methods 846 Patients with nasal cavity malignancy from January 1999 to December 2011 were enrolled,the clinical and pathological features,clinical diagnostic methods and prognostic factors for breast metastasis patients were analyzed.Results Six female cases (median age 25) were diagnosed with breast metastasis,including 3 rhabdomyosarcoma and 3 olfactory neuroblastoma; consisting 0.7％ of the total 846 cases of primary nasal malignancy group.The metastasis were more likely to be multiple breast lesions with/without metastasis in other site.For the primary tumor,five patients received 66-72 Gy/30-33f of radical radiotherapy,one patient with rest rhabdomyosarcoma received 58 Gy of palliative radiation since breast metastasis was found after 14 Gy of radiation and breast mass resection were performed right after.For the breast metastasis,five of 6 patients received breast surgery,one patients with olfactory neuroblastoma received 6 cycles cyclophosphamide + adriamycin + vincristine chemotherapy.Median survival was 12.7 months.Conclusions For nasal cavity malignancy,breast metastasis more likely occur in younger female patients.Ultrasound may provide useful information in evaluating breast metastasis.Cases combined with metastasis except breast have unfavorable prognosis.

Objective To determine relative risk factors for positive surgical margins in extraperitoneal laparoscopic radical prostatectomy(LRP). Methods From February 2004 to September 2007,33 patients(mean age 70 years old)with prostate cancers underwent extraperitoneal LRP.All patients were diagnosed by pathology preoperatively.Gleason score:3+3 14 cases(43%),3+4 11 cases(33%),4+3 6 cases(18%),4+4 2 cases(6%).Clinical stage:T1a-T1b 4 cases(12%),T1c 14 cases(43%),T2a-T2b 5 cases(15%),T2c10 cases(30%).Logistic regression analyses were performed. Results LRP was successfully performed on 31 cases.There were 2 cases converted to open surgery.Nine cases(27%)had PSMs.There were 6 cases(67%)and 4 cases(17%)of clinical stage T2c in PSM and negative surgical margin(NSM)groups respectively(P=0.010).There were 3 cases(33%)and 0(0)with high Gleason score(higher than 7)in PSM and NSM cases(P=0.015).There were 4 cases(44%)and 5 cases(21%)with t-PSA higher than 20dg/ml in PSM and NSM cases respectively(P=0.178).In these 9 cases,there were 4 cases(44%)positive with DRE.However there were 9 in the 24 NSM cases(38%)(P=0.509).Clinical stage T2c was independently positively correlated with PSM(OR=24.69).High Gleason score(higher than 7)and t-PSA higher than 20 ng/ml were positively correlated with PSM. Conclusions Clinical stage is positively correlated with PSM.It is an independent factor.High Gleason score(higher than 7)and t-PSA higher than 20 ng/ml mignt be the risk factors in predicting PSM and should be used together with clinical stage.Positive DRE findings may be also useful to predict PSM.

Objective To detect the sperm apoptosis rate and level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in seminal plasma and explore their correlation among infertile males. Methods Ninety-two inferitile males were divided into varicocele (VC) group (n=32), leukocytospermia group(n=30) and the other cause group (n=30), and another 24 in vitro fertilization sperm samples were sereved as controls. The routine sperm parameters including seminal pH, sperm viability and sperm density were examined by computer assisted sperm analysis, the sperm apoptosis rate was asseseed using Annexin V/PI staining, and the ROS level in seminal plasma was detected by TBA method. The differences in seminal parameters between three infertile groups and control group were compared, and the correlation of sperm apoptosis rate with level of ROS in seminal plasma was explored in each group. Results The sperm viability of three infertile groups was significantly lower than that of control group (P<0.01). The sperm apoptosis rates and levels of ROS in seminal plasma in VC group and leukocytospermia group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). The sperm apoptosis rate was positively correlated with the level of ROS in seminal plasma in leukocytospermia group(r=0. 573, P < 0.05). Conclusion The increased sperm apoptosis rate and level of seminal plasma ROS may be related to the infertility of patients with VC and leukocytospermia. The increased level of seminal plasma ROS may be one of the causes of increased sperm apoptosis rate in patients with leukocytospermia.

Objective To explore the feasibility of assessments of functional and environmental factors in children with Duchenne mus-cular dystrophy (DMD) under the frame of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health-Children and Youth Version (ICF-CY). To execute family intervention and to evaluate its effects. Methods A 6-year-and-5-month-old boy with DMD was enrolled to the study. Functional and environmental factors were assessed with the North Star Ambulatory Assessment (NSAA), time tests, hand-held dyna-mometry assessment, body mass index and family interview. Plans of family intervention were settled and executed for one year and at the end of intervention, the boy received all the above assessments to compare the effects of intervention. Results After one-year family inter-vention, the muscle strength was improved or maintained in most muscles except abductors of hip and the body mass index did not change. For the activities, the scores of NSAA increased and maintained, and the result of time tests improved. Otherwise, attitude and execution of parents were improved. Conclusion It is feasible to execute family intervention under the frame of ICF-CY in children with DMD. Both children and their family may benefit from the intervention.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method of quick identification of Fufang yuxingcao tablel(manufactured by A). METH-ODS:NIRDRS was adopted,the near-infrared diffuse reflectance spectrum were recorded by a fiber optic probe,and the conformi-ty test model was established through the consistency index (CI) value and the CI limit comparison method. The spectral range of 9 002-7 497.8 cm-1 ,6 903.8-5 596.4 cm-1 and 5 002.4-4 246.4 cm-1 was selected as the characteristic spectral band ,the spectra were preprocessed by first derivation and vector normalization with 17 smoothing points , and 7.0 was set as the CI value;the characteristic spectrum correlation coefficient model was established through the correlation coefficient method ,the spectral range of 6 200-5 500 cm-1,5 000-4 700 cm-1 was selected as the characteristic spectral band,the spectra were preprocessed by first deri-vation with 17 smoothing points,and 97% was set as the threshold. RESULTS:The above established models can rapidly identify and accurately distinguish Fufang yuxingcao tablet(manufactured by A)from similar products of other manufacturers,the CI value of the validation samples was beyond 7.0,the correlation coefficient(r)were less than 97% compared with the reference sample. CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple and rapid,and can be used for fast screening of Fufang yuxingcao tablet.
