A new species of Nanhaipotamon sp. Nov. was found from the west of Xiapu County, Fujian Province in April 2008. Holotype: male, carapace length 28.2 mm, breadth 35.6 mm, thickness 20.4 mm. Allotype, female, carapace length 22.6 mm, breadth 28.7 mm, thickness 20.4 mm. Male first pleopod reached beyond tubercle of abdominal lock, not reaching to suture of sternites 4/5. Subterminal segment was about 2.4 times as terminal segment, inner horn rounded to squarish, and its outer horn pointed to the upper part of abdomen. Morphologically, this new species is distinguishable to the similar species of freshwater crabs, such as N. formosanum, N. nanriense, and N. yongchunense.

Objective:To study the clinical application and postoperative complication of double stapling technique (DST) in anus-preserving operation of low and middle rectal cancer. Method:From April 2002 to April 2006, clinical data of 75 cases with low and middle rectal cancer were analyzed retrospectively. Of those 32 cases used DST underwent sphincter-reserving operation(SPO),regard as study group;and 43 cases used SST received SPO, as control group. Objective To explore the role of TLR2 and TLR4 in the pathogenesis of Henoch-Schonlein purpura ( HSP) by investigating their expression at mRNA and protein levels in peripheral blood mononuclear cells ( PBMCs ) and their influences on Th 1/Th2 immune response in children with HSP . Methods 64 hospitalized children with HSP in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University Medical Col -lege from October 2011 to November 2012 were enrolled in the study .They were further divided into non-He-noch-Schonlein purpura nephritis ( NHSPN ) group ( n =36 ) and Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis (HSPN) group (n=28).30 age-matched healthy children from Child Health Division of the same hospital were selected as controls .The expression of TLR2 and TLR4 at mRNA level in PBMCs were detected by re-al-time fluorescent polymerase chain reaction .The expression of TLR2 and TLR4 at protein level and T cells subset were detected by flow cytometry .The levels of IFN-γ, IL-4 and IL-6 in plasma were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results (1)Compared with the control group , the expres-sion of TLR2 and TLR4 at mRNA and protein levels were remarkably increased in children with HSP , espe-cially in HSPN group.(2)Compared with the control group, the percentage of CD3+T cells and CD3+CD4+T cells were down-regulated in HSP group , but the percentage of CD 3+CD8+T cells and CD3+HLADR+T cells were up-regulated.(3)The level of IFN-γand the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-4 in plasma from children with HSP were significantly lower than those of the controls , while the level of IL-4 and IL-6 were remarkably higher than those of the controls .(4)The expression of TLR2 and TLR4 at protein level in PBMCs from chil-dren with HSP showed significant positive correlations with the expression of TLR 2 and TLR4 at mRNA level and plasma concentration of IL-4 and IL-6, but a negative correlation with the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-4.Conclu-sions The aberrant activation of TLR 2 and TLR4 might be correlated with the immunological pathogenesis of HSP by enhancing Th2 immune response.The hyper-activation of TLR2 and TLR4 might result in renal injury in patients with HSP .

Objective To investigate the score changes of graduates majoring in clinical medicine after using the method of “role of identification”. Methods Sixty students who were undertaking internship in Endocrinology Department of Shanghai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital received three-week clinical teaching and examination. Then they got into one-week “role of identification”, and were appointed as clinical teachers to teach what they have learned during the last 3 weeks to the next batch of interns and make another examination. Scores of the two examinations were compared. Results Scores of the examination after received the method in“role of identification”improved significantly (P<0.01). Conclusion The method of“role of identification”can enhance clinical medicine graduates’ mastery of professional knowledge.

Objective To survey the CT radiation dose to cancer patients,and to compare it with diagnostic reference level (DRL) provided by newly issued national standard.Methods Computed tomography dose index weighted (CTDIw) of 5 CT equipments was measured by the standard phantom with typical scanning protocol and radiation dose parameters including average computed tomography dose index volume (CTDIvol),dose length product (DLP),75％ DLP with 900 adult and 300 pediatric cancer patients were collected.According to age stage,effective dose was estimated.Results The measured CTDIw for head scanning was on the same level with DRL,while lumbar vertebra and abdominal scanning were lower than DRL.To adults,DLP of cerebrovascular enhanced scanning and effective dose of abdominal enhanced scanning were the highest.To pediatric patients,there was no significant difference in DLP among different ages.Conclusion CTDI only reflects the dose contribution from a slice,but do not reflect the cumulative dose.For the patients need multiphase scanning,because they may be exposed to high dose,national standard should provide DLP value as the diagnostic reference level.Using individual scanning protocol is an effective method to reduce radiation dose of pediatric patient.

Objective:A novel tuberculosis DNA vaccine integrating siRNA,fusional antigen and hIL-12 triple expression units was constructed in our laboratory.Methods:To evaluate the independent expression of the three expression units,two eukaryotic expression plasmid pVAX1-siRNA-PVAE[EGFP]-hIL12 with TB fusional gene Ag85B-ESAT6(PVAE) and enhanced green fluorescent protein(EGFP),and pVAX1-siEGFP-PVAE[EGFP]-hIL12 with siRNA coding sequence targeting EGFP instead of Mcl-1L were constructed.Then two plasmids were used to transfer human embryonic kidney 293 cells.Based on EGFP report gene,it was demonstrated that siRNA expression unit and fusional antigen gene were independently expressed.Results:The hIL12 expression at 48h and 72h post transfection were also detected by ELISA analysis up to 1571.63pg/ml and 2392.25pg/ml respectively in the cell culture fluid.Conclusion:The results demonstrated that the novel DNA vaccine with siRNA,TB fusional antigen and hIL12 three expression units in the same plasmid frame is successfully constructed and independently expressed in eukaryotic cells.It laid a foundation for further animal model study on anti-tuberculosis effects of this novel DNA vaccine.

Objective To investigate the current situation of iodine deficiency disorders and the effect of control measures in Sanmenxia city of Henan province, and to formulate targeted control measures for iodine deficiency disorders. Methods In 2008, five villages(offices) were selected according to the east, west, south,north and center position in each county in 6 counties(cities, districts) of Lingbao, Shan, Hubin, Yima, Mianchi,and Lushi in Sanmenxia city. One primary school was selected in each village(office), fifty students aged 8 - 10 in each primary school were randomly selected to check thyroid and their urine and edible salt were collected to detect iodine. Thirty 5th-grade students in each school were selected to carry out the questionnaire survey of health education about iodine deficiency disorders. According to the east, west, south, north and center position, five potable water samples were selected to detect iodine in the village where the primary school was in. Questionnaire survey was also carried out among ten housewives in the village. Thyroid was examined by palpation;ammonium persulfate digestion-arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometry(WS/T 107-2006) was used to detect urinary iodine;direct titration(GB/T 13025-1999 ) was used to detect salt iodine;arsenic cerium catalytic spectrophotometry (GB/T 5750.5-2006) was used to detect water iodine. Results One thousand and five hundreds children aged 8 - 10 were analyzed in 6 counties(cities, districts), the rate of goiter was 3.30%(50/1500), the median of urinary iodine was 273.15 μg/L. One thousand and five hundreds salt samples were detected, the coverage rate of iodized salt was 99.93% (1499/1500), the qualified rate of iodized salt was 98.00% (1469/1499), the edible rate of qualified iodized salt was 97.93% (1469/1500), the coverage rate of non-iodized salt was 0.07% (1/1500), the median of salt iodine was 28.9 mg/kg. One hundred and fifty water samples were collected, the median of water iodine was 2.76 μg/L. The pass rate of the questionnaire survey of health education about iodine deficiency disorders was 97.11% (874/900) in students and 98.67% (296/300) in housewives, respectively. Conclusions The prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders has achieved significant results and the monitoring indicators have reached the national standard for eliminating iodine deficiency disorders in Sanmenxia city.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of nephrotic syndrome in children adjunctively treated by underatured lactalbumin.Methods Thirty-six cases of nephrotic syndrome were studied for about 1 year.The changes in red blood cells of reduced glutathione(GSH) were analyzed in 18 cases of underatured lactalbumin treatment group and 18 cases of control group.The clinical presentations were observed in both groups.Results GSH levels increased in underatured lactalbumin treatment group when compared with control group.The frequency of relapse and upper respiratory tract infection in underatured lactalbumin treatment group were significantly reduced compared with control group.Conclusion Underatured lactalbumin can provide support for the potential use of an antioxidant therapy in these patients.
