Objective To investigate the meridians and acupoints selection in the treatment of post-stroke spastic paralysis with Tuina (Chinese massage). Methods The literatures about Tuina therapy for post-stroke spastic paralysis were retrieved. The frequency of meridians and acupoints used was counted and analyzed. Results 99 papers were collected, which involved in 226 acupoints and 1602 times of application. The selected acupoints were distributed in all the fourteen meridians and 64.5% (1033/1602, 606 on upper limb, 427 on lower limb) of them were on the limbs. The acupoints of the Yang meridians was 75.0% (1200/1602) and the specific acupoints was 71.7% (1148/ 1602). Conclusion The acupoint selected was basically focused on the local areas in Tuina for post-stroke spastic paralysis, assisted with the involved meridians and distal acupoints. The acupoints of the Yang meridians were the first option, mainly on the extremities. The specific acupoints were the major components of the prescription, especially the Five-shu acupoints and the He acupoints.

Objective To establish an eukaryotic vector of monkey B virus glycoprotein D gene and analyze the expression of gD gene in human embryonic kidney 293T cells.Method First, the protein of monkey B virus glycoprotein D was obtained by gene synthesis.The gene fragments were digested with Pst I and Not I, and ligated to pEGPF-N3. Then, the recombinant plasmid pEGPF-N3-GD was transfected into 293T cells.The expression of gD protein in the cells was detected by Western blot, and the expression localization was investigated using laser scanning confocal microscopy. Results The recombinant plasmid pEGPF-N3 carrying gD gene was successfully constructed, and normally expressed in the 293T cells.Conclusions Glycoprotein D of monkey B virus is expressed successfully in the 293T cells and the protein is located on the cell surface.It may be useful for the preparation of specific recombinant antigen to the glycoprotein D of monkey B virus on cell surface, and can be also used for preparation of antigen slide for detection of monkey B virus.

Objective:To explore and analyze the points-selection rules in acupuncture treatment of mammary gland hyperplasia (MGH) by data mining and statistical method. Methods:Clinical literatures about the treatment of MGH with acupuncture published in the recent 16 years were retrieved from Chinese Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) and established into a database by Excel. The SPSS 20 version software and Clementine 12.0 version software were adopted to analyze the frequency and association rules of points-selection in the treatment of MGH with acupuncture. Results:The top 3 points used most frequently in acupuncture treatment of MGH were Danzhong (CV 17), Taichong (LR 3) and Zusanli (ST 36); points from the Stomach Meridian of Foot Yangming and Liver Meridian of Foot Jueyin were most commonly used; the commonly selected points were predominantly distributed in thoracic and abdominal regions and lower limbs; emphasis on the combination use of local and distal points; of the specific points, the five Shu-Transmitting points were mostly used; association analysis showed that the associations among Taichong (LR 3), Danzhong (CV 17) and Zusanli (ST 36) were the most significant. Conclusion: The data mining results substantially accord with the general rules of acupuncture-moxibustion theories in traditional Chinese medicine, able to reflect the points-selection principles and features in acupuncture treatment of MGH and provide evidence for the points selection in the treatment of MGH in acupuncture clinic.

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of combining auricular point sticking and a healthy diet to treat simple obesity in children aged 6-9 years old.Methods: A total of 190 eligible obese kids were divided into an observation group and a control group using the random number table method, with 95 cases in each group. The observation group was intervened by auricular point sticking plus guide on a healthy diet, while the control group was only provided with the guide on a healthy diet. The therapeutic efficacy was observed after intervention for three consecutive months, as well as the changes in body mass (BM), body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), hip circumference (HC), and subcutaneous fat thickness. Results: After the 3-month intervention, the total effective rate was 91.6％ in the observation group, versus 74.7％ in the control group, and the between-group difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); in both groups, the BM, BMI, WC, HC, and subcutaneous fat thickness all decreased significantly (P<0.05), and were lower in the observation group than in the control group, showing statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: Auricular point sticking plus a healthy diet is safe and effective in treating simple obesity in children, producing more significant efficacy than healthy diet intervention alone.

Objective To explore the feasibility of mechanical chest compression to establish a rat model of car?diopulmonary resuscitation ( CPR) . Methods 4?month old healthy male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into control group ( n=6 ) and model group ( n=10 ) . After induction of anaesthesia with 10% chloraldurate ( 3 ml/kg, i. p. ) , tracheal intubation and left femoral artery cannulation were performed. Under electrocardiographic and artery blood pressure monitoring, tracheal obstruction ( TO) was performed to rats in model group. At 2 min after the cardiac arrest ( CA) occurred, CPRs were administered to the rats using a self?made animal chest compressor, which provided chest?com?pression at a rate of 200 bpm. Results Shortly after TO, rats in the model group had respiratory arrest, cyanosis and ar?rhythmia. Electrocardiography indicated that CA occurred within 4-5 min, with a decreased artery systolic blood pressure ( <40 mmHg) and a zero pulse pressure. Return of spontaneous circulation ( ROSC) after the CPR was successfully a?chieved in 8 rats (80%), with a transient reperfusion arrhythmia. Finally, 60% of the rats (n=6) recovered to con?sciousness and survived for 24 hrs. The serum biochemical analysis indicated that there were electrolyte disturbances, aci?dosis, impaired renal functions and increased myocardial enzyme spectrum. Pathological examination revealed cardiac rhab? domyolysis, no?reflow phenomenon in renal glomeruli, decrease of neurons and pulmonary congestion in the model group rats. Conclusions Mechanical chest compression can provide minimal cardiac output for the requirement of CPR incardiac arrestin rats. It is feasible to establish rat CPR model with the mechanical chest compression.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of measuring liver volume with Argus methoct Methods Thirty-two healthy liver transplant donor candidates underwent liver MRI on a 3.0 T MR unit.Volume interpolated body examination(VIBE)was performed after the administration of gadobenate dimeglumine.The VIBE data was transferred to the diagnostic workstation,and then multiple planar reconstruction(MPR)images were acquired.Firstly.two observers manually drawn the liver shape and calculated three volumes:the whole liver volume and right lobes volumes include middle hepatic vein (MHV)and exclude MHV,respectively.Secondly,the same data was transferred to Argus software.calculated that three volumes.Each measurement time was recorded.Actual graft volume(the right lobe)wag measured during surgery.The correlation between right lobes volume of two measurements and actual graft volume was analyzed.The time needed for Argus and that needed for manual method were compared with paired t test.Results The right lobe volumes measured by Argus,manually and surgery method were (813±187),(807 ± 181)and(713 ± 137)mm3,respectively.Argus method and manual method showed good correlation with surgery method,and the correlation coefficients were 0.897(Argus method)and 0.884(manual method),respectively.The time for manual method and Argu8 method were(44.3 ±2.7)and(12.2.±1.0)min,respectively.There was significant difference between Argus and manual methods (t=76.39,P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with manual method,use of the Liver volumetric measurement by Argus software not only correlated well with Actual graft volume,but also saves time.Argus has potential clinical value for volumetric measurement in living liver transplant donors.
