It is very important to have a clear and widely accepted definition and classification for clinical diagnosis, rehabilitation, research and social support of children with cerebral palsy, as well as in establishing a regional, national and global monitoring database. There are some new changes about the definition, clinical types and function classification of cerebral palsy recently domestic and abroad, which pay more attention to assessments on function and participation in daily life.
3.Effect of MDG-1, a polysaccharide from Ophiopogon japonicas, on diversity of lactobacillus in diet-induced obese mice.

For understanding the effect of MDG-1, a water-soluble β-D-fructan polysaccharide from Ophiopogon japonicas, on intestinal microecological balance, especially on the changes of lactobacillus, sixty 8-week-old male C57BL/6J mice were given a high-fat diet for six weeks and were also gavaged with saline once a day simultaneously. Then the mice which is below 30 grams or dropped more than 10% through lavage were eliminated and the rest were randomly divided into four groups: diet-induced obese (DIO) model group (n = 12, gavaged with saline), low-dose MDG-1 group (n = 12, gavaged with MDG-1, 75 mg · kg(-1)) , medial-dose MDG- 1 group (n = 12, gavaged with 150 mg · kg(-1)), and high-dose MDG-1 group (n = 12, gavaged with 300 mg · kg(-1)) according to the weight and blood glucose; the model group and MDG-1 group were placed on a high-fat diet while the normal control group (n = 12, gavaged with saline) were kept on a low-fat diet through the experiment. After 12-weeks of treatment, feces samples were collected and cultured for intestinal microecological balance analysis. Then the intestinal probiotics were cultured through traditional methods combined with modified gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) method. The changes of lactobacillus in each treatment group were also detected by a statistical analysis of the total number of the intestinal flora. We have established the phylogenetic tree by 16S rDNA sequencing and use some molecular identification methods such as PCR-DGGE to analyse the changes of the dominant bacteria floras, and also get the pure culture. In conclusion, different concentrations of MDG-1 can increase the number of the intestinal probiotics, especially Taiwan lactobacillus and Lactobacillus murinus, and improve their diversity and promote proliferation in a dose-dependent way.

4.Expression of hyaluronidase and matrix metaloproteinase-9 in the invasion and metastasis of human breast cancer

6.Relationship Between p53 Gene Mutation and Apoptosis and Cell Ploidy of Ovarian Carcinoma

Objective To study the relationship among p53 gene mutation, apoptosis and cellploidy as well as to explore the role of mutated p53 gene in tumorigenesis. MethodsA total of 85 speci-mens (20 normal ovarian specimens, 20 ovarian benign tumors, 20 non - metastatic carcinomas and 25metastatic carcinomas) were chosen. p53 gene mutations were detected by PCR- SSCP (single strand con-formation polymorphism). Cell ploidy, apoptosis role of carcinoma cells and cell distribution in each cellstage were detected by flow cytometry. Resultsp53 gene mutation and non- mutation of ovarian carci-noma was 60% and 40% respectively ( P >0.05). The rate of apoptosis of carcinoma cells with mutationof p53 gene (20.25%) was much lower than that without p53 mutation (41.68%, P <0.05). Aneuploidcarcinoma cells had been found in 17/23 carcinoma specimens with p53 gene mutation and 8/22 carcinomaspecimens without p53 mutation ( P < 0.05). Aneuploid carcinoma cells metastasize more easily thandiploid carcinoma cells ( P < 0.05). The rate of apoptosis was not different between aneuploid and diploidpatients. ConclusionMutation of p53 gene decreases the apoptosis rate of ovarian carcinoma and maypromote tumorigenesis. Cell ploidy had a linkage with p53 gene mutation, but not with cell apoptosis.
7.Chain Rehabilitation Services Model for Children with Cerebral Palsy

Based on the community-based and family-centered concepts, the Chain Rehabilitation Services for children with cerebral palsy (CP) integrates all kinds of social resources to build the early screening network and community rehabilitation centers, and to enhance the integration of rehabilitation and educational services. This chain model makes it possible to coordinate the related institutes to provide better services for children with CP. Better services and better systematic management of children with CP in Shanghai and surrounding areas has also been achieved through this project.

By means of pharmacohistochemical regimen method and image analysis system,the age-related changes of acetylcholinesterase activity of the substantia nigra neu-rons and the number and size(section area)of the AChE positive neurons in ratswere investigated quantitatively.The results showed that the number of AChE pos-itive neurons in the substantia nigra of the old rats decreased markedly,the rateand quantity of AChE synthesis in the perikaryon remarkable declined.The size(section area)of the AChE positive neurons also reduced with aging.These changeswith aging have never been studied in human or usual experimental animals,so thatsome new parameters were provided for the research field in experimental geronto-logy.In human and animal,the degeneration of the neurons in substantia nigra cau-sed by aging would disturb the balance between dopaminergic and acetylcholinergicsystem and hence interfere with the normal coordination of movement.
9.The expression of hyaluronidase and VEGF on human breast cancer invasion and metastasis

Objective To study the effect of hyaluronidase and VEGF on human breast cancer invasion and metastasis. Methods By means of ELSA and immunohistochemistry, hyaluronidase and VEGF were detected in breast cancer. Results Hyaluronidase were (3.99?1.91) mU/g, (8.01?2.59) mU/g and (12.00?3.96) mU/g in gradeⅠ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ of breast cancer respectively. In Europe Registration Management for Cerebral Palsy (CP) has been widely carried out, which collects various related information and systematically manages the rehabilitation of children with CP by uniform database. Chinese Registration Management for Cerebral Palsy fitted with Chinese situations should be established as soon as possible which will benefit the following: to provide more samples for scientific research on cerebral palsy; to promote social awareness and attention for CP children by multiple side participation; to help policymaker to plan more suitable policies for CP children and their families. The main problems needed to resolve are unification of the diagnosis, clinical types and function classification of cerebral palsy.
