Misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis are common in forensic appraisal of orbital fracture. Now imaging technology is very important for studying the forensic features of orbital fracture and evaluating the degree of injury. This article reviews the classification, pathogenesis and imaging diagnosis of orbital fracture. It may do some help to forensic appraisal of orbital fracture.

The traditional treatment of scoliosis is mainly based on open surgeries that use the anterior approach, the posterior approach, or both. These surgical procedures often lead to complications including massive blood loss, infections, and pain of incision. The minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) was introduced in the 1990s and has shown many advantages including less blood loss, less pain, and lower infection incidences.Today MISS is mainly used in the treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and adult scoliosis. However, due to some inevitable complications, it still can not be routinely applied. This review will briefly summarize the advances in the application of MISS in surgical treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis and adult scoliosis.

Objective:This study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy and prognosis between rituximab plus fludarabine and cyclophosphamide (FCR) and fludarabine and cyclophosphamide (FC) regimens for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Methods:The clinical data of 58 patients with CLL treated with FCR or FC regimens from December 2002 to January 2012 were analyzed retrospectively. Therapy efficacy and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results:Among the 58 pa-tients, 27 (44.4%) experienced complete remission (CR) in the FCR group and 31 patients (19.4%) experienced CR in the FC group (P=0.039). The overall response rate (ORR) of the FCR group was higher than that of the FC group (81.5%and 51.6%, respectively, P=0.017). Fourteen patients achieved MRD-negative rating after therapy. PFS and OS in MRD-negative patients were superior compared with the MRD-positive group (P=0.000, 0.003). The proportion of MRD-negative patients in the FCR group was higher than that in the FC group (37.0%and 12.9%, respectively, P=0.032). PFS in high-risk genetic patients was lower than that in low-risk genetic patients (P=0.011, 0.027). The OS time between the two groups did not exhibit any difference. Conclusion:FCR produced a high CR and ORR in patients with CLL. Many patients in the FCR group were responsive to the treatment. Thus, FCR could be a more effective regimen than FC for patients with CLL.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of bubble bath coordinating with functional training on the children with spastic cerebral palsy.Methods210 children with spastic cerebral palsy were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=118) and control group (n=92). All children were treated with functional training, acupuncture and other physical therapies. Children in the treatment group were added with bubble bath one time every day, twenty days as one course. Muscular tension was evaluated with modified Ashworth Scale and range of motion was measured before and after treatment.ResultsIn the treatment group, 55 cases were significant, 53 cases were effective, 10 cases were invalid, the total effective rate was 91.5%; in the control group, 26 cases were significant, 46 cases were effective, 20 cases were invalid, the total effective was 78.2%. There was a significant difference between the total effective rates of two groups (P<0.05).ConclusionBubble bath can significantly decrease the muscular tension of children with spastic cerebral palsy.

The present study is to investigate whether the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) and cAMP response element binding protein (CREB) signaling pathway contributes to the initiation of chronic constriction injury (CCI)-induced neuropathic pain in rats. Mechanical allodynia was assessed by measuring the hindpaw withdrawal threshold in response to a calibrated series of von Frey hairs. Thermal hyperalgesia was assessed by measuring the latency of paw withdrawal in response to a radiant heat source. The expressions of phosphor-ERK (pERK) and phosphor-CREB (pCREB) were examined using Western blot analysis and immunohistochemistry. An early robust increase in the expression of pERK on the spinal cords ipsilateral to injury was observed on day 1 after CCI, when the CCI-induced behavioral hypersensitivity had not developed yet. Moreover, the upregulation of pERK expression in ipsilateral spinal cord was associated with the increase in pCREB expression in bilateral spinal cord. Intrathecal administration of mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MEK) inhibitor U0126 before CCI can efficiently block and delay the CCI-induced mechanical allodynia and thermal hyperalgesia. These data suggest that activation of ERK and CREB in the spinal cord contributes to the initiation of peripheral nerve injury-induced pain hypersensitivity, and an early intervention strategy should be proposed.

OBJECTIVETo demonstrate the effect of bromoxynil on membrane potential and respiratory control rate (RCR) in isolate mitochondria from mice liver tissue in vitro and the intervention of NAC.
METHODSThe mitochondrial was randomized to control group, bromoxynil-poisoned group and NAC-protected group. S3, S4 and RCR of the mitochondria in each sample was detected by the method of oxygen electrode. Each sample was stained by JC-1 and the changes of membrane potential of mitochondria were observed under fluorescence microscope.
RESULTSThe S3 [(0.031 +/- 0.008) nano atoms oxygen x mg(-1) x min(-1)], RCR (1.820 +/- 0.181) of bromoxynil-poisoned group and RCR (4.253 +/- 0.210) of NAC-protected group were significantly lower than those of control group (P<0.01); the S4 [(0.017 +/- 0.004) nano atoms oxygen x mg(-1) x min(-1)] of NAC-protected group was significantly higher than control group (P<0.01). The S3 [(0.046 +/- 0.005) nano atoms oxygen x mg(-1) x min(-1)] and RCR of NAC-protected group were significantly higher than group B (P<0.01), S4 [(0.011 +/- 0.001) nano atoms oxygen x mg(-1) x min(-1)] of NAC-protected group was significantly lower than bromoxynil-poisoned group (P< 0.01). Observation under fluorescence microscope: the red fluorescence of mitochondria was dim or disappeared in bromoxynil-poisoned group while brightened in NAC-protected group but still dimmer than control group.
CONCLUSIONIn vitro, the mitochondrial RCR and the mitochondrial membrane potential are decreased after the mitochondria is incubated with bromoxynil, and NAC could improve it.
