Objective: To develop an HPLC-DAD method for the simultaneous determination of five active flavonoids (quercetin, kaempferol, apigenin, 3-methoxyl-quercetin, nobiletin) in Centipeda minima (L.) A.Br.et Aschers.Methods: The chromatographic separation was performed on a Diamonsil C18 column (200 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) with the mobile phase of 0.1% phosphoric acid-acetonitrile with gradient elution at the flow rate of 0.8 ml·min-1.The detection wavelength was set at 360nm,and the column temperature was maintained at 30 ℃.Results: Quercetin, kaempferol, 3-methoxyl-quercetin, apigenin and nobiletin was linear within the range of 0.002 3-0.093 0 μg·μl-1(r=0.999 5) , 0.002 2-0.087 0 μg·μl-1(r=0.999 6),0.002 0-0.079 0 μg·μl-1(r=0.999 8), 0.000 9-0.037 0 μg·μl-1(r=0.999 8) and 0.000 8-0.031 0 μg·μl-1 (r=0.999 9), respectively.The average recovery was 97.66%(RSD=1.17%), 98.33%(RSD=1.16%), 98.63%(RSD=1.10%), 98.40%(RSD=1.52%) and 98.10%(RSD=1.36%)(n=6) , respectively.Conclusion: The method is convenient, accurate and reproducible, which can be used for the quality control of Centipeda minima (L.) A.Br.et Aschers.

BACKGROUND:Implanted site and direction of miniscrew implants, post-implantation movement of implants, contact between tooth and implant after tooth movement al can cause root damage.
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the changes of the root surface, periodontal tissue and osteoprotegerin expression in the periodontal tissue at periods of time after miniscrew implant loading.
METHODTwo beagle dogs were selected. For each dog, miniscrews were implanted into the labial alveolar bone near the roots of the maxil ary second, third, and fourth premolars and the maxil ary second, third, and fourth premolars and first molar. Fourteen miniscrew implants were in one dog, including six in the maxil ary and eight in the mandible;two miniscrews of the maxil ary acted as control group with no loading, and the rest miniscrews were as experimental group under orthodontics force. Two weeks after miniscrew implantation, 150 g force was loaded between two miniscrews with nickel-titanium closed-coil springs. The dogs were sacrificed after miniscrews loading 4 and 8 weeks respectively, the teeth were cut completely with alveolar bone tissue and decalcified to make the histological specimen. The histological changes of the root and periodontal tissue were observed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and expression of osteoprotegrin in the periodontal ligament was also inspected by using immunohistochemistry.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:When the miniscrews were adjacent to the roots, absorption lacuna occurred in the alveolar bone;after horizontal force was loaded opposite to the roots, alveolar resorption became much more animate. When the miniscrews contacted with the pericementum, some areas of the cement absorbed seriously and even reached the dentin;when sustaining pressure from the miniscrews, the whole layer of the cement absorbed and the dentin was exposed and began to be absorbed. The osteoprotegrin in the periodontal ligament of control group expressed sharply and its expression was notable at 8 weeks;while the osteoprotegrin of experimental group weakly expressed at 8 weeks, and there was significant divergence between control group and experimental group at 8 weeks (P<0.01). The roots and periodontal tissue were al damaged variously after miniscrew implantation adjacent to the roots. When horizontal orthodontic force was loaded opposite to the roots, the expression of osteoprotegrin was influenced slightly;as the loading period prolonged, pressure dramatical y restrained the expression of osteoprotegrin. When discovering the miniscrew implant adjacent to roors, the miniscrew implant anchorage should not be used to load orthodontical force opposite to the roots but ought to be removed in order to leave the root repair autonomously and avoid further damage.

Objective To understand the death level and main death causes among residents in the Wansheng Economic De‐velopment Zone to provide the basis for comprehensive prevention and control .Methods According to the ICD‐10 international classification of diseases ,the death causes were classified and coded for statistically analyzing the crude mortality rate ,standardized mortality rate and the death causes constituents in this surveyed population .Results The crude mortality rate of residents in Wan‐sheng Economic Development Zone during 2014 was 650 .57/100 000 and the standardized mortality rate was 413 .35/100 000 .The sequence of death causes was circulatory system disease ,respiratory system disease ,tumor ,injury and poisoning and digestive sys‐tem diseases .The death number for these 5 kinds of death causes accounted for 93 .21% of the total death number .The top five of potential life loss years were injury and poisoning ,tumor ,circulatory system disease ,respiratory system disease and digestive system diseases .The rates of potential years of life loss were 13 .76‰ ,10 .19‰ ,8 .35‰ ,4 .84‰ and 2 .69‰ respectively .Conclusion Chronic noncommunicable diseases ,injury and poisoning become the main causes of death in the Wansheng Economic Development Zone and disease burden .

Objective To investigate the rule of cell apoptosis after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) in rats, and to analyze the effect of Astragalus injection on the brain tissue water content and cell apoptosis perihematoma.Methods Experimental ICH models of rats were produced in by injection of Collagenase into right caudate nucleus using stereotaxis technique. After operation, 160 SD rats were randomly divided into 4 test groups according to different intervention time (operation meanwhile group, 6 h group,12 h group and 24 h group after operation, 32 rats in each group) and hemorrhagic control group (32 rats). The rats in test groups were treated with Astragalus injection intraperitoneally once a day. All ICH animals were killed at 4 d or 7 d after ICH. 12 rats from the above each group were used to measure brain tissue water content (dry-wet method). The effect of different initiation time point of treatment on brain tissue water content and cell apoptosis perihematoma was observed. The apoptosis perihematoma was detected by TUNEL technique.Results Compared with hemorrhagic control group, brain tissue water contents improved significantly in operation meanwhile group (4 d), 6 h group (both 4 d and 7 d) and 12 h group (4 d)(all P

Objective To investigate the relation between body mass index(BMI),skinfolds(SF)and relative weight(RW),arm girth(AG) and ag e of the children in order to look for the most suitable index used to diagnose children obesity in clinical work.Methods In 1496 healthy children (ranging from 1 to 13 years),their weight, height,AG, triceps skinfold(TSF), sub scapular skinfold(SSF) and abdominal skinfold(ASF) were measured and the relat ion of BMI,SF,RW,AG and age was analyzed.Results 1.Between BMI and the sum of three skinfolds(SF3) ,RW,AG,correlation coefficient was more t han 0.8(P＜0.001).2. With the increase of age, AG and ASF increase wh ile TSF and BMI decrease. 3.Skinfolds in girls of 3～6,12 years of age are thicker t han those in boys;BMI in boys of 8,9 years of age are higher than those in girls .Conc lusions 1.95 percentile of BMI and SF3 as index to diagnose children obes ity is better than single application of RW or one-site skinfold. 2. With the i ncrease of age, AG and abdominal fat increase, but triceps and total fat of body relatively decrease. 3. Fats in girls develop faster than in boys.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of 64-slice spiral coronary CT angiography(CTA)in diagnosis of in-stent restenosis(ISR)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in patients with coronary artery disease.Methods:CTA was used to reconstruct and analyze the 345 segments(each stent was divided into three segments:proximal,middle and distal)of 115 stents in 60 patients with coronary heart disease after PCI.The results of selective coronary angiography(SCA)were taken as the golden standard to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of CTA in diagnosis of ISR after PCI.Results:CTA clearly showed the location and length of the stents,the stenosis at stent and the characteristics of restenosis plaques.Thirty-nine in-stent restenosis lesions were found by CTA,including 8 calcified lesions and 31 non-calcified lesions.There were 25 lesions at the proximal end of the stent,7 at the middle and 7 at the distal end.Forty-two lesions were found by CTA,including 9 calcified lesions and 33 non-calcified lesions,with 26 at the proximal end,8 at the middle and 8 at the distal end.CTA correctly diagnosed 36 segments,missed 6,and misdiagnosed 3.The sensitivity,specificity,PPV,NPV and accuracy of CTA were 85.71%,99.01%,92.31%,98.04% and 97.39%,respectively.CTA had the highest sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of the proximal ISR,being 96.15% and 100%,respectively.Proximal stent restenosis accounted for 64.10% of the total.Conclusion:CTA can clearly demonstrate the in-stent restenosis and has a high accuracy in diagnosing restenosis after PCI.CTA is a safe,simple and reliable noninvasive diagnostic method for diagnosis of in-stent restenosis after PCI.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of hydrogel soft contact lens(HSCL) for persistence corneal epitheliopathy after intraocular surgery.Design Retrospective case series.Participants 36 patients(36 eyes) with bullous keratopathy(n=5) or other keratopathy(n=31) including corneal erosion,epithelium missing,and dendritic keratopathy after intraocular surgery,which failed to medicine treatment 2 weeks ago.Method All patients were fitted with HSCL after suitable processing of the corneal foci.The lenses were removed immediately as long as the keratopathy recovered.A new lens was replaced after 3 weeks if still needed.Main Outcome Measures Changes of keratopathy,pain relief and complications.Result 35 patients(97.22%) fitted with HSCL were very comfort within 3 days.At the follow-up of 6 months,30 patients(83.33%) achieved complete remission of keratopathy,6 patients (16.67%) remarkable remission.30 patients(86.11%) had vision increase.All of the non-bullous keratopathy recovered within 3 weeks,while the lenses were fitted much longer in bullous keratopathy.No other lens-related complications appeared.Conclusion The application of hydrogel soft contact lens to persistence corneal epitheliopathy after intraocular surgery is safe,effective,and practical.
