Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2000;0(08):-
AIM: To investigate the role of angiotensin II (Ang II)and Ang II receptor (Ang II R) in the ischemic injury of kidney.METHODS: The expression of renal Ang II type 1 receptor (AT 1R) gene in renovascular hypertensive rats was detected by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and levels of Ang II in the kidney and plasma were examined by radioimmunoassay.RESULTS: The study showed that the contents of Ang II in plasma and renal tissue in experimental group were increased signifiantly ( P

Objective To explore the effect and significance of systemic inflammatory response syndrome(SIRS )score in predicting prognosis in acute craniocerebral trauma. Methods The clinical data of 620 patients were collected at admission from January 2003 to December 2007, GCS and SIRS score were calculated in 24 hours. The relation of the mortality rates and GCS score were analyzed in different SIRS score patients by controlling age. Results With SIRS score increasing, mortality rates increased as well, and pa-tients with SIRS (score≥2) mortality rates had significantly higher, and also in the same age and GCS score group.Mortality rotes were significant in staifistics (P<0.05). Conclusion SIRS score is significant inde-pendent predicting prognosis in acute craniocerebral trauma and in clinic.

Objective To detect chromosome translocation t (11;18)(q21;q21) and expression of BCL10 protein in gastric mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma. Methods We, combining clinical and pathological data, detected API2 MLT fusion by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR)as well as the expressions of BCL10 protein and Ki 67 by immunohistochemistry in cases of gastric MALT lymphoma and follicular gastritis (FG) and analyzed the relationships among them. Results API2 MLT fusion was detected in three cases (2 low grade and 1 low to high grade) out of 14 cases of gastric MALT lymphoma, and no in 8 cases of FG. BCL10 protein was weakly expressed in cytoplasm of B cells of germinal center in lymph follicles of FG; but abundantly in cytoplasm of tumor cells in gastric MALT lymphoma; 42.5% of the latter showed weak expression in nucleus. The expression of Ki 67 was significantly higher in low to high and diffuse large B cell lymphoma cases than in low grade cases( P 0.05), the frequency of nuclear expression of BCL10 increased with the increased expression of Ki 67. Conclusions Both API2 MLT fusion and BCL10 nuclear expression are associated with transformation of gastric MALT lymphoma from LG to HG. RT PCR technique used to detect API2 MLT fusion may be an important tool in identification of t(11;18)(q21;q21).
6.Mechanism and Chemical Basis of the Effect of Bacteria on Urinary Stone Formation

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
There are two populations of bacteria to affect the formation of urinary stones in humanity. The first one can promote the formation of urinary stone by increasing urinary pH, decreasing concentration of urinary inhibitors , and damaging the protective urothelial glycosaminoglycan layer. The second inhibit the formation of urinary stones. These bacteria ( mainly the intestinal oxalate degrading bacteria such as Oxalobacter formigenes, lactic acid bacteria, Enterococcus faecalis etc) can decrease urinary oxalate concentration by regulating exogenous oxalate. The problems faced and the developing direction were also indicated.

Objective To investigate the Influence of FOXC1 downregulating on biological behavior of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) 5-8F cell lines. Methods Western blotting was used to detect the protein levels of FOXC1 in human immortalized nasopharyngeal cell lines NP69, nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines 6-10B with lower metastasis potential and nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines 5-8F with higher metastasis potential. siRNA was used to downregulate the expression of FOXC1 in 5-8F cell lines, and then ability of migration and invasion were observed. Results FOXC1 protein expression level in NP69 cell lines, 6-10B cell lines and 5-8F cell lines were (0.27 ± 0.04), (0.7 ± 20.06), (1.08 ± 0.05) respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Also ability of cell migration and invasion significantly weakened after FOXC1 depletion in 5-8F cell lines (P < 0.05). Conclusion FOXC1 might regulate invasion and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma through changing expression of Fibronectin and Vimentin, and FOXC1 may be an available target for molecular target therapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

It is complicated to decide the treatment plan of hopeless anterior teeth in esthetic zone due to severe periodontitis, periodontal-endodontic combined lesion or teeth trauma. The optional treatment plan for this kind of teeth includes retention after periodontal treatment, extraction and implant treatment, extraction and prosthodontic treatment and so on.To make an appropriate treatment plan, patients'' periodontal conditions, periodontal biotype, local anatomy, esthetic demand, economic condition and social psychological status should be comprehensively considered.A combine of periodontal, endodontic and orthodontic therapy may achieve a good treatment effect in hopeless anterior teeth with severe periodontal destruction, tooth extrusion and occlusal trauma. In this case, a 20-year-old female who presented with symptoms of bleeding on brushing and upper incisors loosening for 1 month came to the Department of Periodontology, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. The clinical examinations revealed that the patient''s right upper incisor had signs of mobility (Ⅲ°), intrusion of 1-2 mm, and probing depth (PD) of 9-10 mm.The periapical radiograph showed that the alveolar bone of right upper incisor absorbed horizontally to the apex. And the patients showed Angle Ⅱ° malocclusion with Ⅱ° overbite in anterior teeth and maxillary protrusion.A diagnosis of aggressive periodontitis and Angle Ⅱ° malocclusion was made. The treatment of this patient lasts for 5 years which include periodontal initial therapy, orthodontic therapy, guided tissue regeneration (GTR) of right upper incisor and supportive periodontal therapy and the clinical result is fine.A hopeless upper incisor was successfully retained and the longtime clinical condition was stable. The strategy of retention of hopeless upper anterior teeth, the relationship of periodontal treatment and orthodontic treatment, and the indications of periodontal and orthodontic combined therapy were also discussed on the basis of this case.Generally, the positive factors in retention of hopeless teeth includes young age, absence of systemic conditions, strong motivation for maintaining the tooth, single root anatomy, integrated dentition, good response to cause-related therapy, intrabony alveolar bone defect, thick periodontal biotype, and regular supportive periodontal therapy. And in the progress of orthodontic therapy, regular supportive periodontal therapy and good plaque control is extremely important.

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2017;26(8):947-950
Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of death in women with malignancies worldwide.Brachytherapy plays an essential role in the radiation therapy for cervical cancer, and its combination with external beam radiation is indicated for previously untreated or recurrent cervical cancer at various stages without distant metastasis.Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has superior resolution of soft tissue, which allows for accurate delineation of target volume, protects organs at risk (OARs), and thus improves treatment outcomes. In recent years, many studies have demonstrated the feasibility and superiority of three-dimensional MRI-guided brachytherapy for cervical cancer. This article aims to elaborate on relevant MRI techniques, selection of applicators, delineation of target volume and OARs, evaluation of treatment plans, and the clinical effect of three-dimensional MRI-guided brachytherapy.
