Objective To study the effects of formaldehyde on activities of enzymes in testes of male mice. Methods Male Kunming mice were used. Experimental groups had been exposed to formaldehyde with different doses by i.p. once per day for 7 consecutive days. The formaldehyde doses were 0.2, 2.0 and 20.0 mg/kg body weight. The mice were killed after 7 days of treatment and their testes were fetched out to be made into even slurry and the activities of LDH, G-6-PD and SDH in them were tested. Results The activities of G-6-PD and SDH were decreased with the increasing of doses of formaldehyde. Prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and rectal cancer are common malignancies in the male pelvis. The incidence rate of erectile dysfunction (ED) following radical prostatectomy, cystectomy or rectal cancer surgery is about 25% - 100%. The main cause of post-surgery ED is mainly attributed to injury of neurovascular bundles, which may lead to reduced oxygenation in and fibrosis of the penile tissue. Early penile rehabilitation after surgery can improve or restore the erectile function of the patients. This article focuses on penile rehabilitation after radical pelvic surgery.

Objective To observe the effects of bisphenol A (BPA) on the reproductive function in F1 mice. Methods Pregnancy mice were divided into four groups randomly. From the beginning of pregnance,the mice in experimental groups were given BPA with 30,120,360 mg?kg-1?d-1 until the new mice were born. The mice in control group were given the same volume of corn oil. When the young mice were 30 d, the sperm malformation rate,the activities of lactic acid dehydrogenase(LDH) and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase(G-6-PD) of testicle,the organ coefficient, the histopatholgical changes of testicle in male mice were examined. Results The form of the epithelial cells of seminiferous tubules was disordered. The number of mature spermatozoa was decreased. This changes were more and more with the increase of BPA dose. Compared with control group,organ coefficients in low and large dose groups reduced,LDH activity and G-6-PD activity in middle and large dose groups decreased,LDH activity in low dose group increased. ObjectiveTo investigate the depression and anxiety state of heart transplantation patients. MethodsFifty-weight heart transplantation outpatients were assessed by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) in Zhongshan Hospital during October 2010 to April 2011.Those diagnosed with depression disorder should meet the criteria of depression in Chinese Classification of Mental Disorder-3nd version (CCMD-3) and the score of HAMD≥14,and those diagnosed with anxiety disorder should meet the criteria of anxiety disorder CCMD-3 and the score of HAMA≥ 14.The diagnoses of concurrent depression and anxiety were made.Results The prevalence of depression disorder and anxiety disorder was respectively 15.5％ (9/58) and 22.5％ (13/58).The prevalence of depression disorder and anxiety disorder within 12 months was respectively 16.7％ (2/12) and 33.3％ (4/12).The score of HAMD was positively related to HAMA score (P＜0.01 ).ConclusionThe prevalence of depression disorder and anxiety disorder is very high and the co-existence of depression and anxiety is very common.

ObjectiveTo develop three animal models to mimic muscle tremors of Parkinson's disease and observe effects of Chinese herb compounds Jian-Xing on these models.MethodsPure muscle tremor mice models were developed by single intraperitoneal injection of arecoline or oxotremorine. The mitochondria damaged model was developed by intraperitoneal injection of MPTP(1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) 20mg/kg for 8 days. Duration time of tremoring was recorded. The climbing time and spontaneous movements of MPTP mice were recorded. HPLC was used to detect the content of dopamine and it's metabolites in MPTP mice.ResultsAfter injection of oxotremorine or arecoline,model mice exhibited significant tremoring, duration time of tremor of mice in Jian-Xing group shortened significantly. As to MPTP model mice, climbing time of model mice prolonged, times of spontaneous movements of model mice decreased and the content of dopamine in striaturn decreased compared with control group. Climbing time of mice in Jian-Xing group shortened, spontaneous movements increased and content of dopamine increased distinctively. ConclusionOxotremorine, arecoline and MPTP all can produce tremor animal models. Chinese herb compounds Jian-Xing can shorten the duration time of tremor.As to MPTP model, Jian-Xing can shorten the climbing time of model mice, increase the spontaneous movements and increase the content of dopamine in striaturn.

Objective To find out the prevalence of bullying behaviors among urban middle school students in China. Methods An anonymous questionnaire survey was conducted among middle school students selected by multiply stage cluster random sampling in 18 provinces in China. 187 328 self- administration questionnaires were finished by students from grade 7 to 12 in urban middle school(male,86 472; female, 91 106), in which 177 578 were valid. Results Bullying was common in urban middle school students in China. Multiple bullying behavior also existed. About 66.1% of boys and 48.8% of girls suffered from one or more kinds of bullying; 8.1% of boys and 2.9% of girls suffered from four or more kinds of bullying. Boys were more likely to be bullied than girls. Malicious teasing was the most common bullying behavior(43.2%), followed by sexual bullying behavior(27.0%). In addition to malicious teasing and sexual bullying, the prevalence of other types of bullying declined when the grade was increasing. Residential students were more likely to be maliciously teased, excluded or isolated and sexual bullied than non-residential students. Students from single-parent or recomposed-families were more likely to be bullied than other students. Male and ordinary school students, students living with single or step-parents were more likely to suffer multiple bullying behaviors at the same time. Conclusion The suggesting among students was associated with personal, familiar and social factors, mobilize more social forces and comprehensive actions to be taken to prevent bullying among students.

The application of traditional Chinese medicine small molecule monoclonal antibody technology has been more and more widely, the technology for effective Chinese medicine component knockout provide strong technical support. The preparation of monoclonal antibodies and small molecule knockout technology are reviewed in this paper. The author believes that this technology will make the traditional Chinese medicine research on a higher level, and improve the level of internationalization of Chinese medicine research.
