2.Clinical selection of IOL refractive corneal refractive surgery calculation method
International Eye Science 2015;(4):732-734
AIM: To investigate the clinical effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens ( IOL ) implantation for cataract patients after corneal refractive surgery, and to compare the accuracy of the different refractive IOL.
METHODS:The data of 120 myopia cases (160 eyes) in our hospital, who underwent cataract surgery and corneal refractive surgery were analyzed. Corneal curvature K value before corneal refractive surgery were obtained and calculated by using history method. Corneal curvature correction numerical method and corneal topography were used to record K value of patients with incomplete data before and after treatment. The K value was substituted into the formula. By comparing the actual cataract surgery and refractive state expected refractive status (-0. 50D), the accuracy of IOL refractive obtained from three methods was compared.
RESULTS: The average best corrected visual acuity before cataract surgery was 0. 25 ± 0. 05, and it was improved ( 0. 80 ± 0. 05 ) after surgery. The average spherical equivalent (SE) was -1. 98±1. 75 before surgery and +0.85±3.38 after surgery (P<0.05). The K values of 48 cases were calculated by clinical history method ( CHM ) and that of 73 cases was calculated with the adjusted keratometry method ( AKM) . The K values of 39 cases were calculated using the corneal topography method ( CTM) .
CONCLUSION: For patients with corneal refractive surgery, the appropriate method can be selected according to clinical symptoms, history, etc. and this may help to accurately calculate IOL. For patients with complete data, CHM can be used to provide corneal K values, while for those with incomplete data, AKM and CHM can be used.

8.Differentiation of rabbit bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells into vascular endothelial cells induced by in vitro combination of three kinds of cytokines
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(21):-
BACKGROUND: It has been verified vascular endothelial cells can propagate and differentiate into vessel by planted in the tissue-engineered material in vivo, but it may cause severe trauma when obtain vascular endothelial cells, and it has limited sources. OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) can differentiate into vascular endothelial cells by combined induction of vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1 by experimental observation. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: The control cell observation experiment was conducted at the Central Laboratory of First Affiliated Hospital, Liaoning Medical University from November 2006 to June 2007. MATERIALS: An 8-week-old Japanese big ear rabbit was used to isolate BMSCs. VEGF, bFGF and IGF-1 were purchased from Peprotech Company. METHODS: After anaesthesia, bone marrow was extracted from the rabbit. Enough BMSCs were harvested by adherence and trypsinization and randomized into two groups. BMSCs in the induction group were inoculated in DMEM supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), 10 ?g/L VEGF, 1 ?g/L bFGF and 2 ?g/L IGF-1 for 2 weeks. BMSCs in the control group were inoculated in DMEM containing 10% FBS. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Morphological observation, nitric oxide (NO) content detected, immunohistochemistry staining of Ⅷ factor-related antigen and Weibel-Palade body under a electron microscope in BMSCs. RESULTS: Five days after induction, BMSCs were distributed in cluster, showing round. Non-induced BMSCs were evenly distributed, showing spindle or triangle. Fourteen days after induction, NO content in supernatant was significantly higher in the induction group than in the control group (t=3.75, P
9.Influence of basic fibroblast growth factor on tissue repair and reconstruction after fracture
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(33):-
BACKGROUND: Basic fibroblast growth factor (BFGF) widely in human tissue participates in trauma repair of various tissues and is one of wound healing factors in the body. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the progress of BFGF in the fracture healing. RETRIEVAL STRATEGY: A computer-based online search of Pubmed Database was undertaken to identify the relevant articles on BFGF in the fracture healing published from January 2000 to December 2007 with the Keywords of "fibroblast growth factor 2 (basic fibroblast growth factor), fracture healing, regulation, signal transduction" in English. At the same time, Chinese relevant articles were searched in China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) and Wanfang Database published between January 2000 and December 2007 with the same key words in Chinese. Exclusive criteria included articles with repetitive research and non-original study. LITERATURE EVALUATION: A total of 33 articles were collected about the distribution (3 articles), biological characteristics (3 articles) and the effect on the healing of bone fracture (27 articles) of BFGF. DATA SYNTHESIS: Bone healing is the process of regeneration after bone injury and the process of bone formation. BFGF can promote the cell migration by its chemotaxis and accelerate the healing by aggregating mesenchymal stem cells, macrophage and fibroblasts towards trauma region. Present animal studies on BFGF are deep and reports on clinical application are a few. Thus, the effect of BFGF is available. BGFG can affect bone formation by adjusting cell prolifeation and differentiation and changing the synthesis of cell products. BGFG not only can promote the bone growth, but also enhance the adhesion of osteoblasts and scaffold. CONCLUSION: The distribution and biological characteristics of BGFG have been recognized primarily. The further study on modulatory mechanism in the fracture healing of BFGF is carrying through. The bone restoration compounded by BFGF and its carriers is in the experiment and needs to be studied further.
