3.The correlation between single nucleotide polymorphism of complement factor H gene and exudative age-related macular degeneration
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2011;27(5):427-430
ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)of complement factor H (CFH) gene and exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD) susceptibility.MethodsThis is a retrospective case control study. 136 exudative AMD patients (AMD group) and 140age and sex-matched normal subjects (control group) were enrolled in this study. The peripheral blood was collected, polymorphism genotypes and frequency of CFH Y402H(rs1061170),CFH-257C > T (rs3753394) and CFH IVS15 (rs1329428)were measured by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and allelespecific restriction endonuclease digestion. The SHEsis software was performed on haplotype construction to analyze the frequency.ResultsThere are TT, TC, CC genotypes and T, C allele in CFH Y402H (rs1061170); CC, CT, TT genotypes and C, T allele in CFH-257C>T (rs3753394); AA, AG, GG genotypes and A, G allele in CFH IVS15 (rs1329428). The differences of genotypes and allele frequency between 2 groups were statistically significant (P<0. 05). The TC genotype in CFH Y402H, TT genotype in CFH-257C>T (rs3753394) and GG genotype in CFH IVS15 (rs1329428) were associated with exudative AMD susceptibility (OR=4. 11,2. 55,3.11;P<0.05). The T, C and G allele were the risk alleles (OR=3.14,1.72,1.79;P<0. 05). The differences of frequency between TCG, CTG and CTA haplotype were statistically significant(X2 =10.53,6.60, 32.82;P<0.05). ConclusionThere is correlation between SNPs of CFH gene and exudative AMD susceptibility.

ObjectiveTo explore the diagnostic value of 16-slices CT in urinary calculus. Methods25 cases of suspected urinary calculus were examined by 16-slices CT and some of these images were reconstructed with MPR. ResultsIn the 25 casces CT found 21cases of urinary calculus, among them kidney calculus 22 cases, urinary tract calculus 13 cases. In 5 of 21 cases, urinary calculus were not found with US.In all 6 cases urinary calculus were not detected by KUB and/or IVP. Conclusion16-slices CT was a valuable method in diagnosing urinary calculus.

Objective To study the significance and expression relationship among STAT1,STAT2 and hMLH1 ,hMSH2 proteins in hepatocellur carcinoma(HCC). Methods SABC immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of STAT1,STAT2,hMLH1 and hMSH2 proteins in cancer tissues and paracancer tissue from 37 patients of HCC. Results The positive rates and expressive levels of STAT1,STAT2,and hMLH1, hMSH2 in HCC was significantly lower than those in paracancer liver tissues(P

International Eye Science 2014;(9):1733-1735
To evaluate the clinical effect of laser in situ keratomileusis ( LASlK) with the corneal flap created by FEMTO LDV femtosecond laser for myopia.
●METHODS: The corneal flap was created by the FEMTO LDV femtosecond laser, and the thickness of the flap was 110μ m. A total of 143 myopic patients (283 eyes) were treated with the EC5000 - CXlll element laser. The optometry of the eye, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) the thickness of the cornea, and ObscanⅡ were examined before the operation. The thickness of the flap was calculated by measuring the thickness of corneal bed during the operation in 35 eyes. The conditions of the corneal flap, complications, uncorrected visual acuity ( UCVA ), diopter, corneal topography were observed during and after the operation and were checked for 3mo follow-up.
●RESULTS: During the operation, it appeared small flap ( diameter < 5mm ) in 3 eyes, corneal margin incised incompletely in 5 eyes and incision bleeding in 8 eyes. Postoperative subconjunctival hemorrhage appeared in 6 eyes. The thickness of corneal flap in 35 eyes was 108. 75± 8. 52μ m (98-117μ m) and the error was 6. 49±8. 62μ m (3-12μ m). There was no significant difference between the actual flap thickness and the preset flap thickness ( P >0. 05) . The average equivalent spherical refractive was -0. 29± 0. 47 ( - 1. 50 to + 1. 00) DS after the operation for 3mo and the UCVA met or exceeded preoperative BCVA in 251 eyes (88. 7%).
●CONCLUSlON: The operation of myopia by LASlK flap created by FEMTO LDV femtosecond laser has fewer complications, and the effect is definite and safe.

Insertion of foreign genes into the genome map of Chinese herb always produces the intended beneficial effects, but also the unintended effects. Analysis of genomic function and metabolic end products based on the principle of substantial can reveal the influence on the quality of herbs, which is able to provide valuable refer-ence for the following evaluation on pharmacology and toxicology.

Chinese Journal of Cardiology 2007;35(11):1041-1045
OBJECTIVETo observe the preconditioning cardioprotection of atorvastatin (ATV) in rabbits underwent 40 min ischemia and 240 min reperfusion and to explore related mechanisms.
METHODSThe rabbits were randomized divided into Control group, ATV group (10 mg.kg(-1).d(-1) for 3 days before ischemia), ATV plus iNOS inhibitor S-methylisothiourea sulfate group (ATV + SMT group), SMT group, ATV plus mito K(ATP) channel blocker 5-hydroxydecanoate group (ATV + 5-HD group) and 5-HD group (n = 16 each group). The infarction size, CK-MB, LDH-1, nitric oxide synthase and mitochondrial ATP synthesization capacity ([ATP] m) were determined at the end of reperfusion.
RESULTSInfarction size, CK-MB, LDH-1 were decreased by 26.3%, 31.4%, 19.1% and iNOS, [ATP] m increased by 102.6%, 46.8% post ATV compared to control group (all P < 0.05) and these effects could be blocked by cotreatment with SMT and 5-HD except the iNOS was not affected by 5-HD.
CONCLUSIONThe atorvastatin preconditioning exerted cardioprotection by upregulating iNOS and activating mito K(ATP).
