2.Concentration changes and clinical significance of hepatocyte growth factor in acute kidney injury ICU pa-tients
Clinical Medicine of China 2008;24(12):1200-1202
Objective To investigate the concentration changes and clinical significance of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) during the development of acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods The serum concentrations of HGF in 62 patients with AKI were measured every two days, and the relation between HGF and glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ,the renal failure index, course of diseases, numbers of viscera injury, and short-term prognosis were an-alyzed. Results The serum concentrations of HGF were progressively rising along with the course of diseases and the amount of viscera injury (P=0.000), reached peak at the 9th day, and then decreased, which was was elevated in the death group than renal function failure group, but which in the latter group was elevated than in renal function recovery group (P<0.05 for each). AKI with liver injury patients were obviously higher than without liver injury pa-tients(P<0.05 for each). The serum concentrations of HGF were positively correlated with the renal failure index (r=0.580~0.821) but negatively correlated with eGFR(r=-0.943~-0.703) (P<0.05 for each). Conclu-sion The serum concentrations of HGF are abnormally rising in the patients of AKI ,which reflects the state of dis-ease and short-term prognosis of AKI.
3.The expression of thymosin beta 4 in the liver tissues and its clinical significance in children with hepatoblastoma
Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2014;(9):1305-1309
Objective To investigate the expression of thymosin beta4 ( Tβ4 ) in the liver tissues of children with hepatoblastoma ( HB) , and further study the function of Tβ4 in HB metastasis in vitro. Methods Immunohisto-chemistry (IHC) was used to determine expression of Tβ4, E-cadherin andβ-catenin in liver tissues from 19 chil-dren with HB,and further to analyze its function in metastasis of HB cells. Results The positive rate of Tβ4 ( P<0.01 ) in HB liver tissues was significantly higher than it in the adjacent tissues. The positive rates of Tβ4 and nu-clearβ-catenin in HB with lymphnode metastasis were significantly higher than in HB without lymphnode metastasis ( P <0.01 ) . While expression of E-cadherin in HB with lymphnode metastasis was lower than in HB without lymphnode metastasis ( P<0.01 ) . Scratch-wound assay showed that HepG2 cells with Tβ4 knockdown had signifi-cantly lower metastatic ability (P<0.05). Conclusion Tβ4 plays an important role in HB metastasis, suggesting it is a potential target for HB metastasis.
4.Advanced liposuction technologies and their potential application in the isolation of adipose-derived stem cells
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2014;(1):131-136
BACKGROUND:Currently, cosmetic liposuction has developed rapidly, but the liposuction for the isolation of adipose-derived stem cells has not been reported.
OBJECTIVE:By evaluating the quantity and viability of stromal vascular fraction, adipocytes and adipose-derived stem cells obtained from different types of liposuctions, to find the advanced liposuction procedures that are most suitable for use in preparation, preservation and clinical application of adipose-derived stem cells.
METHODS:Authors retrieved PubMed database, NIH clinical trial databaseand CNKI ful text database for relevant articles using the key words of“adipose-derived stem cells, ADSCs, liposuction, SAL, UAL, PAL, WAL”in English and Chinese, respectively. After eliminating the objective-independent articles and repeating reviews, 50 papers were included for further analysis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Suction-assisted liposuction (SAL), ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL), power-assisted liposuction (PAL) and water-assisted liposuction (WAL) are four major types of fat-harvesting technologies that can possibly be applied for adipose-derived stem cells isolation. Accumulative evidence suggests that these advanced liposuctions can obtain high quality of adipose tissue/cells, which are good enough for autologous fat grafting. Adipose-derived stem cells that are isolated from lipoaspirate by WAL, SAL and UAL, can be used as autologous cel-assisted lipotransfer and regenerative therapy. In summary, although each of these four types of liposuction technologies has its own advantages and is feasible to be used as autologous fat grafting, systematic comparative studies for viability, chromosome stability and differentiation potentials of adipose-derived stem cells isolated using each col ecting method are necessary in order to confirm the future perspectives in adipose-derived stem cells isolation, banking and regenerative repair.

Journal of Jilin University(Medicine Edition) 2006;0(04):-
Objective To identify the effect of insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) gene transfer on motoneurons apoptosis in anterior horn after acute spinal cord injury in adult rats. Methods Thirty-six male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: IGF-1 group, model group and control group. The SCI models were made by cutting half spinal cord of rats on the T_8 segment by ophthalmogy scissors.Lipofectamine and recombinant plasmid pcDNA-hIGF-1 complexes were injected into the injury spinal cord by microinjector in IGF-1 group while pcDNA3.1,LipfectAmine and saline were administered in model group. The expression of IGF1 was detected by immunohistochemistry method, the apoptosis of the motoneurons in anterior horn was detected by TUNEL,and moting function of hindlimbs was evaluated by BBB locomotor scale. Results Compared with model group and control group, the expression of IGF-1 was increased significantly(P
6.A Comparison between Qualitative Research Method and Quantitative Research Method in Education Research
Chinese Journal of Medical Education Research 2003;0(02):-
As two main research methods, qualitative study and quantitative study are different in theoretical basis, research methods, research goal, the relation between researchers and those who are studied as well as applied fields. They should be combined in education research, however, for education is a complicated humanism phenomenon.
7.Application of XRCC1 gene in cancer research
China Oncology 1998;0(01):-
Cancer is one of the gene diseases. The genome stability is closely associated with the occurrence of cancers. XRCC1 gene is one of the DNA repair genes. It participates in the repair process when the genome is injured. So it is considered important in maintaining the stability of the genome and in the prevention of tumor occurrence. This article introduced the characteristic of XRCC1 gene, the relationship between single nucleotide polymorphism of the gene and susceptibility to tumor, and the common methods used in the XRCC1 research.
