Objective To study the feasibility and the effect of neonate cheiloplasty.Methods In 21 cases of neonate cheiloplasty,both infraorbital nerves were anesthetized,then the point was fixed and operated beneath magnifier,using the Millard or Tennison's method.Results There was low fatalness in the anesthesia,the wounds were not infected but heal smoothly and had insignificant scarline.Besides,the following apparent coarctation of the cleftpalate was in favor of cleftpalate-plasty somewhile.Conclu-sion There are many advantages of the neonate cheiloplasty and the operating in neonatal time is reasona-ble.

[Purpose] To find out the status and existing problems of graduate career planning education, and suggest some corresponding measures to up-grade the work of graduate career planning education of university of traditional Chinese medicine, and propose some improvements to enhance the com-prehensive ability and improve the quality of graduate students of TCM, and promote graduate employment.[Method] We view from the point of graduate career planning education, through the questionnaires and personal interviews to find out the status and existing problems of graduate career planning edu-cation. [Result]This study shows that, 76.87% graduate students of TCM have a more clear understanding for their personal abilities, 63.27% know what they want to engage in professional development trends, 76.56%know the importance of career planning affirming sexual attitudes,but only 35.12%express satisfaction to the graduate employment guidance,and each graduate's career expectations are not high.[ Conclusion] The university of traditional Chinese medicine should enhance graduate career planning education according to the actual school graduate, to establish a scientific and effective career planning e-ducation system to help students establish a correct concept of career employment, and promote and maintain sustainable development of personnel training mechanism TCM col eges.

Objective To explore the relationship between serum levels of unconjugated estriol (uE3)and human placental lacto-gen (hPL)and preeclampsia.Methods 123 cases of pregnant women diagnosed as preeclampsia were enrolled into observational group,and 1 50 cases of healthy pregnant women were enrolled into control group.Blood specimen were collected from the two groups in 28-<32 gestational weeks and 32-36 gestational weeks.Serum levels of uE3 and hPL were determined and compared between the two groups.Results The pregnancy outcomes of the control group were better than those of the observation group. With the increase of gestational age,there was increasing trend of serum levels of uE3 and hPL in the two groups.However,com-pared with the observation group,the serum levels of uE3 and hPL were higher in the control group,and the differences were statis-tically significant(P <0.05).Conclusion The decrease of serum levels of uE3 and hPL in pregnant women with preeclampsia may be associated with the pregnancy outcomes.

Objective To explore the clinical features and SQSTM1/p62 gene mutations in Chinese Han patients with familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis linked superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1) mutation (FALS-SOD1).Methods A total of 13 FALS-SOD1 probands and 100 healthy controls were studied,with DNA extracted from the peripheral blood.Sequencing was carried out at 8 exons,intron-exon boundaries and promoter region (2-kb upstream from the coding sequence) of SQSM1/p62.Clinical data were collected and all patients were followed-up.Phenotype-genotype relationship was analyzed.Results The insertion of T was found in intron 5 of SQSTM1/p62 gene [+ 1 insert T (TT ＞ TG)] in a FALS-SOD1 G16A male proband,with limbs as the symptom onset and faster disease progression than the other two SOD1 G16A probands without SQSTM1/p62 gene mutation.Conclusions The insertion of T in the intron 5 of SQSTM1/ p62 gene may promote the ALS progression by damaging p62 function in the FALS-SOD1 G16A proband.

AIM:To investigate changes of retinal nerve fiber layer ( RNFL) thickness and macular retinal thickness in patients with early diabetic retinopathy ( DR ) and disclose the changing trends of RNFL thickness and macular retinal thickness in different stages of early DR.
METHODS:It was a clinical case control study. Through selecting 60 patients ( 120 eyes ) with early DR diagnosed with type 2 diabetes were divided into non - diabetic retinopathy (NDR) group (20 cases, 40 eyes) and mild non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) group (20 cases, 40eyes), moderate NPDR group (20 cases, 40 eyes) . Twenty normal patients ( 40 eyes ) were enrolled as control group. The RNFL thickness of optical nerve ( with circle scan round optic nerve head, scan diameter of 3. 45mm) and the retinal thickness of macular ( around center point with 1000μm diameter ) were measured by optical coherence tomography ( OCT ) , to compare the RNFL thickness changes of the control and early DR patients.
RESULTS:Compared with the control group, the RNFL thickness of optical disc in the inferior quadrant was descended obviously in NDR group ( P < 0. 05 ), with statistically significant difference,; there were no statistically significant difference in other quadrants ( P>0.05). In mild NPDR group, the RNFL thickness of optical disc in the mean and inferior quadrant was significantly descended than that in the NDR group. In moderate NPDR group, the RNFL thickness of optical disc in the mean, superior and inferior quadrant was statistical significance descended than that in the NDR group ( P < 0. 05 ). Compared with the NPDR group, NDR group and control group, the RNFL thickness of optical disc in each quadrant were descended significantly. There was statistically significant difference in macular retinal thickness among the NDR group, mild NPDR and moderate NPDR group ( P<0. 05), the retinal thickness was increased gradually in mild NPDR and moderate NPDR group.
CONCLUSION:With the development in the degree of early DR, RNFL thickness is gradually decreased and retinal thickness is increased, OCT can be observed qualitatively and quantitatively in DR.
