PURPOSE: This study was conducted to evaluate the relationships among the service education satisfaction, service involvement, and customer orientation of hospital employees after yearly-planned MOT service education. METHODS: The data collection was done through the questionnaire survey in a university hospital located in D city from March 15 to 31, 2010. The statistical analysis was done by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. RESULTS: The enrolled employees were two hundred and seventy six. Among the characteristics of employees, adequate work load, good payment, reasonable promotion system, suitability of work aptitude and good relationships with staff improved the service education satisfaction, customer orientation, and service involvement of hospital employees. For the customer orientation, old age and lower educational background were positive factors. The correlations among the service education satisfaction, customer orientation, and service involvement of hospital employees were significant. The factors that affect customer orientation and service involvement were found to be age, suitability of work aptitude and service education satisfaction. CONCLUSION: In conclusion, customer orientation and service involvement were related with the satisfaction of employees for working condition and service education. In terms of good medical service quality, plans for maintaining adequate working environment and systematic service education should be established.

PURPOSE: To evaluate ultrasonographic findings and usefulness in the diagnosis of breast diseases during pregnancy and lactati ng period. METHODS AND MATERIALS: The authors evaluated the ultrasonographic findings of 18 breast diseases during pregnancy and lactation retrospectively. The ultrasonographic examinations were performed with linear-array 5 MHz transducer (ATL). Final diagnoses were obtained by the excisional biopsy, fine needle aspiration and clinical follow-up. RESULTS: Total 18 cases of breast diseases were consisted of 8 cases of galactocele, 4 cases of fibroadenoma, 3 cases of axillary accessory breast, 2 cases of lactating adenoma, and I case of phylloides tumor. The ultrasonographic findings of the above breast diseases were valuable in the diagnosis and therapeutic planning. CONCLUSION: Ultrasonography is the initial and useful method of diagnosing breast diseases during pregnancy and lactating period.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of polycystic ovarian follicular fluid on sperm motility in human in vitro fertilization (IVF). METHODS: From May, 1998 to July, 1999, 55 patients who complained of infertility were involved in this study. We obtained ovarian follicular fluids form the patients by ultrasono-guided aspiration. Subjects were divided into two groups. 20 patients who had polycystic ovarian disease were belong to study group, and 25 patients who had normal ovarian follicular fluid were belong to control group. The follicular fluid dilution was done with Ham's fluid as 10%, 20%, 50%, 100%. The sperm motility was analyzed by CASA at 6hr and 12hr after incubation in follicular fluids. RESULTS: The levels of average path velocity (VAP) in all concentration fluid didn't show significant difference between study and control group. The other parameters including curvilinear velocity (VCL), amplitude of lateral head displacement (ALH), and linerity (LIN) were didn't show any significant difference between both groups. CONCLUSION: PCOD fluid had seemed to have an adverse effect on the sperm biological function. But, this study showed that PCOD fluid had no different effect on sperm motility with normal follicular fluid.

Adnexal and ovarian torsion cause acute or chronic abdominal pain, and on ultrasonography, CT and MRI, theradiologic findings of twisted pedicle are clearly demonstrated. Due not only to the rarity of the disease butalso because the symptoms and signs are similar to those seen in cases of adnexal torsion, isolated torsion of thefallopian tubes is not easily diagnosed. The author describes two cases of this condition which on CT andultrasonography showed the "whirling" pattern of twisted pedicle located at the tubal end ; this pattern isassociated with tubal pregnancy or hydrosalpinx. The distal location of twisted pedicle at the fallopian tube,ipsilateral tubal dilatation and ipsilateral normal ovary suggests isolated torsion of the fallopian tubes.

PURPOSE: Holmium-166(H0-166) is a potent beta-emitter with a short half-life(26.83 hours) and high betaenergy(1.85MeV), and its necrotic effect on breast carcinoma has been proved. In cases of hepatocellularcarcinoma, Ho-166 can therefore be used for internal radiation therapy. The purpose of this study is to evaluatethe therapeutic effect of Ho-166 on hepatocellular carcinomas and to estimate the required dosage, according totheir size. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Tumor cells of hepatocellular carcinomas(SK-HEP1) were subcutaneouslyheterotransplanted into 71 nude mice and 71 hepatocellular carcinomas less than 2cm in diameter were grown. Ho-166was directly injected into a tumor at a dosage of between 0.5mCi(18.5MBq) and 3.0mCi(11MBq). After initialinjection of Ho-166, tumor uptake and radioactivity were indicated by gamma camera scanning. Hepatocellularcarcinomas in a control group of 20 mice were injected with 0.025ml of normal saline(n=10) and chitosansolution(n=10). Pathologic examination was performed and the necrotic tumor area was measured with an imageanalyzer. RESULTS: All specimens of Ho-166-injected hepatocellular carcinomas showed coagulation necrosisconsistent with radiation effect, while the control group did not show necrosis. As the injected dosage of Ho-166was increased, the necrotic area extended proportionally and the dosage required for total necrosis was calculatedaccording to tumor size. Gamma scintigraphy showed that injected Ho-166 had accumulated within the tumor, withoutthe accumulation of radioactivity in other organs ; the required dosage could be predicted on the basis ofradioactivity count indicated by a gamma camera. CONCLUSION: High-energy beta radiation emitted by Ho-166 can besufficient to kill tumor tissue without associated radiation damage to neighboring organs; intratumoral injectionis thought to be a promising therapeutic approach and a new method for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Pseudoaneurysm is uncommon but a life threatening complication of chronic pancreatitis. Angiography has been the standard definitive imaging modality in the diagnosis of pseudoaneurysm. However, over the past 5 years duplux US and Dynamic CT have been proven to be valuable. The authors report a case of gastroduodenal pseudoaneurysm in chronic pancreatitis, which could be diagnosed by duplux US and Dynamic CT. Furthermore this case proved to be a pseudocyst which converted into a pseudoaneurysm by vessel rupture.

OBJECTIVE: The patients of endometriosis may complain of dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain, and dyspareunia, but may be asymptomatic. We studied on the correlation between the pain and the psychologic stress, Also, we studied on the correlation between serum CA-l25 levels and the psychologic stress. METHODS: The data was obtained from il7 endometriosis patients. Psychological stress was studied with STAI(Stait-Trait Anxiety Inventory) and BDI(Beck Depression Inventory). We compared the degree of anxiety and depression according to existence of pain and the duration of pain. Also we examed the scores of STAI and BDI according to the level of serum CA-125. RESULTS: The pain group had more depression and anxiety, in comparison to the pain-free group. And the depression and anxiety significantly increased in long-term pain group. There was no correlation between the level of serum CA-125 and the depression,or axiety. CONCLUSION: The pain of endometriosis may play a role of pychological stress to the patients, so it seems to increase depression and anxiety.
