Objective To compare the treatment accomplishmentsand adverse effects of the mixed- or single-application of etomidate and propofol during modified electroconvulsive therapy (MECT) in schizophrenics with hypertension. Methods Ninety hospitalized schizophrenics with hypertension undergoing MECT were ran-domly assigned to 3 groups: Group EP(etomidate = 0.3 mg/kg and propofol = 1.0 mg/kg), Group E (etomi-date = 0.7 mg/kg) and Group P (propofol = 2.0 mg/kg). Changes of SBP, DBP and HR were recorded before anesthesia, after induction, electrical stimulation instantly and 5 min after electrical stimulation. The average pe-riods of epileptic seizure (ESD), postictal suppression index (PSI) and the adverse reactions were also recorded. Results The ESD and PSI scores were significantly higher in Group EP and Group E than those in Group P (P < 0.05). SBP and DBP in Group E were significantly higher at the electrical stimulation instant than those af-ter induction (P < 0.05). SBP and DBP in Group P were significantly lower after induction than those before anesthesia(P < 0.05). The injection pain of Group EP and Group E were lower than that of Group P(P < 0.05). No significant differences were found among 3 groups in the adverse reactions such as nausea/vomiting anddys-phoria.Conclusion The mixed liquor of etomidate and propofol can extend the time of seizure, reduce the nega-tive reaction of cardiovascular system and adverse reactions during MECT in schizophrenics with hypertension.

Objective To investigate the operative techniques for refractory cholelithiasis. Methods The clinical data of 521 patients with refractory cholelithiasis who had been admitted to People's Hospital of Hunan Province from January 1990 to December 2007 were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients received surgery. After the operation, 3 patients died of liver and kidney failure, the remaining 518 patients were cured without severe complications. The results of B ultrasound and computed tomography showed residual stones in 78 patients (15.1%). Four hundred and twenty-three patients (81.7%) were followed up for 5 months to 17 years (mean, 7.5 years), and the rate of positive effect was 90.1% (381/423). Conclusions Most of the refractory cholelithiasis can be cured radically. Individualized surgical planning, fine and standard surgical procedure are key to the treatment effect.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2016;33(1):83-88
In order to improve the efficiency of protein spots detection, a fast detection method based on CUDA was proposed. Firstly, the parallel algorithms of the three most time-consuming parts in the protein spots detection algorithm: image preprocessing, coarse protein point detection and overlapping point segmentation were studied. Then, according to single instruction multiple threads executive model of CUDA to adopted data space strategy of separating two-dimensional (2D) images into blocks, various optimizing measures such as shared memory and 2D texture memory are adopted in this study. The results show that the operative efficiency of this method is obviously improved compared to CPU calculation. As the image size increased, this method makes more improvement in efficiency, such as for the image with the size of 2,048 x 2,048, the method of CPU needs 52,641 ms, but the GPU needs only 4,384 ms.

Objective To study the clinical effect of acupuncture therapy combining with biofeedback therapy on senile chronic insomnia patients. Methods 150 cases of senile chronic insomnia were divided into 3groups randomly: group A received acupuncture therapy only, group B received biofeedback therapy only, and group C received both therapies. The scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) ,sleep efficacy, sleep latency, total sleep time and the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-17) were assessed before the treatment and at the end of the 4th and 8th week during the treatment. Results After 8 weeks treatment, the scores of PSQI, sleep efficacy, sleep latency, total sleep time and the scores of HAMA and HAMD-17 of group C((7.92 ±2.59)score,(82.52 ±8.93)% ,(24.06 ±8.23)minutes,(413.75± 42.41) minutes, (9.63 ± 3.75) score, (10.10 ± 3.27) score) were better than that of group A (( 9.51 ± 2.92)score, (79.06 ± 10.70) %, (33.16 ± 11.31) minutes, (373.47 ± 40.65) minutes, (15.08 ± 4.20) score, (14.33±± 3.56) score) and group B (( 11.46 ± 3.75) score, (68.85 ± 12.34) %, (33.65 ± 11. 38) minutes, (281.88 ±38.02) minutes, (11.63 ± 4.15) score, (12.08 ± 4.08) score) significantly (P < 0.01). Conclusion The therapy of acupuncture combining with biofeedback is benefit to improve the sleep quality of senile chronic insomnia patients, meanwhile the anxiety and depression associated with insomnia can be improved.

Objective To analyze the distribution of reproductive tract infection(RTI)pathogens and the drug sensitivity of My-coplasma in infertile women. Methods Experimental examinations of the pathogens related to RTI were performed in 260 cases of infertile women(test group)and compared with 260 cases of pregnant women(control group). Results In test group, the positive rate of RTI pathogens was 61.2%.The top 3 pathogens were Mycoplasma (47.7%),Candida (30.0%)and bacterial vaginosis (BV)pathogens(16.7%).There were significant differences of BV pathogens,Mycoplasma, and pH value between test group and control group(P <0.05).And the differences of other pathogens and the cleanliness were not significant between test group and control group(P >0.05).The drug sensitivity rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum to doxycycline and minocin were above 90%,and which to quinolone was less than 40%.Conclusion BV pathogens and Mycoplasma infection is one of the important factors which could affect women infertility. It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring and rational use of antimicrobial agents.

Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging 2015;(10):775-779,784
There are no intuitive and unified standards for selecting features in existing protein gel image point matching method, for which an analysis method based on similarity map is proposed. Firstly, the definition and generation methods of similarity map were presented. Secondly, trait and merits of features such as coordinate similarity, shape-context similarity and morphology similarity were analyzed using similarity map method. Finally, comprehensive utilization of multi-features named product-method which has a better effect than mean-method was proposed based on the results. Many experiments using different 2-DE gel images were carried out to prove the validity of similarity map and product-method. The results showed that similarity map could be used for intuitional, effective analysis of matching performance and to guide the selection and comprehensive utilization of multi-features.

Objective To understand the support effect of the resources and services provided by the library on the scientific research of medical postgraduates. Methods Taking 150 graduate stu-dents in Chongqing Medical University as the research object, through questionnaire survey and inter-view method, the characteristics of medical graduate students' selection of document resources, as well as their application of the resources and services provided by the library were investigated. Results 65% (98/150) of students chose Chinese literature as the preferred source of information, 6% (9/150) of graduate students did not borrow books at the library, 54% (81/150) of graduate students chose library website as the data retrieval entrance at the time of obtaining the preferred document, 9% (14/150) of students did not participate in the library reader training. Conclusion Library resources are still the first choice for the graduate students to obtain the literature, and the library should be improved in the aspects of resource allocation, service mode, in order to meet the needs of graduate students' scientific research.
