1.Research progress of the measures to improve the receptivity of endometrium

The embryo quality and endometrial receptivity is the two important factors that affects human implantation. Many patients with infertility caused by the disorder of endometrial receptivity fails in embryo implantation. Improving the receptivity of endometrium to improve clinical pregnancy rate has become a hot issue of research in recent years. In this paper, the current use of drugs and surgery on the measures to improve the receptivity of endometrium was summarized, in order to provide references for improving the success rate of assisted reproductive technology.
2.Clinical study of molecular markers and COL1A1/PDGFB fusion gene in dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans

Objective:To investigate the values of immunophenotype and the Collagen type1 alpha1/Proto-oncogene Proteins c-sis (COL1A1/PDGFB) fusion gene in the diagnosis of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP). Methods:IHC markers and the COL1A1/PDGFB fusion gene were detected by IHC staining and interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) in 73 cases previously diagnosed as DFSP. A total of 85 and 10 non-DFSP cases were also included as controls for IHC staining and FISH, respectively. Results:In the 73 DFSP cases, the positive detection rates for immunohistochemical marker vimentin, CD34, CD99, S100, desmin and SMA were 100%, 91.78%, 61.64%, 0, 0, and 6.85%, correspondingly. Protein expression levels in these cases varied from the control group, and CD34 ex-pression was significantly different among the differential diagnoses. The positive detection rate for the COL1A1/PDGFB fusion gene was 86.96%(60/69), whereas the gene expression in the control group was negative. Conclusion:The COL1A1/PDGFB fusion gene is a highly specific and sensitive marker in the diagnosis of DFSP. CD34 is a suitable marker for DFSP.
3.Surgical treatment and clinical outcome of patients with intracranial posterior circulation poor-grade aneurysms

Objective To investigate the surgical treatment and clinical outcome of patients with intracranial posterior circulation poor-grade aneurysms. Methods The clinical data of 35 patients with intracranial posterior circulation poor-grade aneurysms were collected. Seventeen patients were World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) grade IV and 18 patients were WFNS grade V. Twenty- nine patients were definitively treated with open microsurgery treatment(2 patients) and endovascular treatment (27 patients). Six patients received conservative treatment, including 4 patients only receiving external ventricular drainage to decrease intracranial pressure and 2 patients only receiving medical treatment. The nerve function were evaluated by Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) at discharge from hospital and 1 and 12 months after operation. Results In the patients who received conservative treatment, 5 patients were dead in hospital, and 1 patient got good outcome after 12 months. In the patients who received surgical treatment, at discharge from hospital good outcome were achieved in 15 patients (51.7%), poor outcome in 9 patients (31.0%), and death happened in 5 patients (17.2%). At 1 month after operation, good outcomes were achieved in 14 patients (48.3%), poor outcome in 9 patients (31.0%), and death happened in 6 patients (20.7%). At 12 months after operation, good outcome were achieved in 18 patients (62.1%), poor outcome in 5 patients (17.2%), and death happened in 6 patients (20.7%). Conclusions Patients with posterior circulation poor-grade aneurysms have better prognosis after positive surgical treatment.
4.Discussion on Research and Development for Chinese Ethnic Medicine Products

Ethnic medicine is an important component of traditional Chinese medicine and excellent traditional culture. New products of ethnic medicine are important application form to play therapeutic advantages of ethnic medicine, whose research and development should focus on the maintenance of characteristics of ethnic medicine. From the perspective of the research and development of ethnic medicine, this article discussed research ideas in the development of new products of ethnic medicine and put forward that attention should be paid to the experience on using the ethnic medicine, related literature studies, and ethnic medicine resource protection and utilization as well. In addition, this article put forward the research tactics in new products of ethnic medicine, such as medicinal materials, effective parts, active ingredients, the secondary development research and so on, with a purpose of improving the level of researching and developing new products of ethnic medicine.
5.Combined use of posterior unilateral open-door laminoplasty and leverage fixation for treatment of multi-segmental cervical spondylotic myelopathy

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficiency of posterior unilateral open-door laminoplasty and leverage titanium plate internal fixation in the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy ( CSM ) with multi-segmental spinal stenosis.Methods Between Mar 2011 and May 2015, 25 patients with multi-segmental CSM with multi-segmental spinal stenosis were treated by posterior unilateral open-door laminoplasty and leverage fixation .There were 16 males and 9 females, whose mean age was 60.6 ±9.9 years during the surgery.The change of clinical symptoms and signs was recorded during follow-up,and they all received X-ray and MRI.In all the patients, the preoperative and postoperative neurological function, the cervical curvature,cervical vertebra tube volume and axial symptoms were measured , recorded and analyzed. There was statistically significant difference (P<0.05) in the mean Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, and Visual Analogue Scale ( VAS) .Results All the 25 patients were followed up for more than 6 months ( 6-24 months ) .No symptoms of C5 nerve root were found in our series .According to the JOA score and VSA score ,the neurological functions of each patient were significantly improved .The preoperative JOA score was 10.16 ±1.35 and the improvement rate 61.24%. There was statistically significant difference between the preoperative VSA score and the postoperative one (6.68 ±1.12 vs 2.32 ±0.84) ( P<0.05).The preoperative and postoperative meansurement of the spinal vertebrai canal diameter was (9.22 ±2.01) and (15.64 ±2.08) mm, respectively,so there was statistically significant difference (P <0.05), indicating that the cavical spinal canal was increased after operation .Conclusion Leverage titanium plate internal fixation can effectively help maintain the expanded vertebral canal after unilateral open -door laminoplasty ,reduce the incidence of postoperative axial symptoms , and maintain the cervical physical curvature .
6.Progress in the Study of Heparinases

Heparinases,a kind of polysaccharide lyases,can degrade heparin and heparin sulfate to low molecular weight polysaccharides.It has been noted that many bacteria have heparinases although only few of them have been purified and characterized.Heparinases I,II and III from Flavobacterium heparinum have been extensively studied for many years and been commercialized recently.Heparinases have some important applications in the industry and clinic as well as in the determination of heparin structure,which is a very important anticoagulant drug used world-widely.The recent progresses in isolation of heparinase-producing bacteria,genome mapping of heparinase homologs in sequenced bacteria and archaea genomes,purification of heparinases and the study of their biochemistry and regulation were reviewed.The recombinant expression of these enzymes as well as important applications of heparinases and their potential applications in the future will also be highlighted.

8.Expression of Monocyte Chemotactic Protein-1 and Its Receptor in Sudden Coro-nary Death

Objective To investigate the expression of m onocyte chem otactic protein-1 (MCP-1) and its receptor CCchem okine receptor-2 (CCR-2) in coronary atherosclerosis plaques betw een sudden coro-nary death (SCD ) and non-SCD. Methods The expression levels of MCP-1 and CCR-2 in SCD group, coronary atherosclerosis group (non-SCD), control group (norm al coronary artery) w ere detected by im-m unohistochem istry. Results Positive rates of MCP-1 am ong the three groups w ere 78%, 47%, and 0%, respectively, w ith significant expressing differences betw een each tw o groups (P<0.05). Positive rates of CCR-2 am ong three groups w ere 72%, 47%, and 0%, respectively, w ith significant expressing differ-ences betw een the SCD group and coronary atherosclerosis group as w ell as betw een the SCD group and control group (P<0.05), but w ith no significant expressing difference betw een coronary atherosclero-sis group and control group (P>0.05). Conclusion O verexpression of MCP-1 and CCR-2 in coronary atherosclerotic plaques is closely correlated w ith SCD .
9.Application of a three-dimensional operation planning system for precise hepatectomy in patients with giant hepatocellular carcinoma

ObjectiveTo evaluate the feasibility of a three-dimensional (3 D) operation planning system for precise hepatectomy in patients with giant hcpatocellular carcinoma (HCC).MethodsThe clinical data of 34 patients with giant HCC who received precise hepatectomy at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from May 2009 to May 2011 were retrospectively analyzed.Preoperative evaluation was done based on the computed tomography data,and the resection margin and the volume of resectcd liver were calculated using simulation.The predicted resected liver volume and resection margins were compared with the results of the actual operations.All data were analyzed using the t test,and the correlation between predicted and the actual values was analyzed by calculating Pearson correlation coefficients.Results Hepatic and tumor tissues and the hepatic vessels were reconstructed three-dimensionally using the 3D preoperative simulation software.The volume of simulated resected liver and the length of resection margin were ( 2112 ± 1550 ) ml and ( 12 ± 6) mm,respectively,while the volume of actual resected liver and the length of resection margin were (2031 ± 1411 )ml and ( 12 ± 6)mm,respectively.The predicted and the actual values were statistically correlated ( r =0.961,0.923,P < 0.05 ).There was no significant difference between the predicted and the actual values ( t =1.549,1.143,P > 0.05 ).All patients received precise hepatectomy,and no hepatic failure or death was observed. Conclusion The 3D operation planning system can accurately evaluate the condition of the liver and simulate hepatectomy,and could contribute to safer and more curative precise hepatectomy in patients with giant HCC.
10.Optimization of formulas of Quban gel by uniform design.

OBJECTIVETo optimize formulas of Quban gel.
METHODThe U6 (6(2) x 3) uniform design was adopted to optimize gel formulas, with rheological parameters, such as viscosity and yield value in room temperature, viscosity and yield value in average temperature of skin, thixlotropy.
RESULTThe optimum proportion of matrix was made of 1.0 g carbomer 940, 5 mL glycerin and pH value 5-6.
CONCLUSIONThe regression model for gel matrix quality and gel rheological parameters was established to directly reflect the impacting effect of various factors, and provide certain preference basis for the screening of gel matrix formulas.
