Objective To investigate the clinical effect of honghua injection on hemorrheology in the prevention of deep venous thrombosis ( DVT) after operation of lower limbs fractures. Methods 100 cases with operation of lower limb fracture meeting the inclusion critera were randomly divided into two groups equally.Besides conventional treatment, the control group was treated with rivaroxaban, while the observation group was treated with honghua injection and rivaroxaban. The incidence of DVT, pro-inflammatory factors, hemorheology indices and adverse reactions were observed and compared. Results The observation group had a total DVT incidence of 10.0%, which was statistically lower than that of 28.0% in the control group(P<0.05). Three days after the operation, pro-inflammatory factors of TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8 in the observation group was respectively statistically lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).As to hemorheology indices, in comparison with the control group, hematocrit, whole blood viscosity and fibrinogen in the observation group were statistically lower (P<0.05).During the treatment, there were no case of severe adverse reactions, and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were statistically same. Conclusion Treatment of honghua injection in combination with rivaroxaban in the prevention of DVT is reliable, which could significantly reduce the incidence of DVT, alleviate inflammatory reaction and improve blood hypercoagulable state with minor adverse reactions.

Objective To observe the influence of wind-dispelling therapy on therapeutic effect of blood-cooling and kidney-tonifying herbs for chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura(CITP),and to investigate its immunoregulatory effect. Methods Forty-two CITP patients were randomized into 2 groups:the treatment group(N=22) received therapy of dispelling wind, cooling blood and tonifying kidney, and the control group(N=20) received therapy of cooling blood and tonifying kidney.Six weeks constituted one treatment course, and the treatment lasted 3 courses.Serum interleukin 2(IL-2),soluble IL-2 receptor(sIL-2R),Fas protein,Fas-L protein, and platelet-associated immunoglobulin G(PAIgG) levels and lymphocyte subtypes were compared before and after treatment. Results In the treatment group,14 patients were clinically cured,5 markedly effective,2 effective,1 ineffective and the total effective rate was 95.5%;in the control group,8 patients were clinically cured,4 markedly effective,3 effective,5 ineffective and the total effective rate was 75.0%.The therapeutic effect in the treatment group was superior to that in the control group(P

Objective: To investigate the effect of chronic intermittent hypoxia (CIH) on liver injury and the expression of fractalkine in rats and explore its possible mechanism.
Methods: A CIH murine model was established to mimic the pathophysiology of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) in humans. Thirty healthy male Spraque-Dawley rats were randomly assigned to 3 groups: a 5% CIH group, a 5% CIH+RH (removal of hypoxia) group and a control group ( 10 rats in each group). The 5% CIH and 5% CIH+RH groups were exposed to CIH for 3 weeks, 8 h/d, and the frequency of hypoxia was 20 times/h. The 5% CIH+RH group was then exposed to normal gaseous environment for another 3 weeks. After the experiment, liver sections were stained with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) and the liver pathology was observed. The expression of fractalkine in the liver tissues was detected by immunohistochemical method.
Results: 1) Compared with the control group, the hepatic steatosis and inflammatory activities in the 5% CIH and 5% CIH+RH groups were more severe (allP<0.01 ); compared with the 5% CIH group, the hepatic steatosis and inflammatory activity in the 5% CIH+RH group were dramatically reduced (P<0.01 ). 2) Compared with the control group, the fractalkine expression in the 5%CIH and 5% CIH+RH groups was increased (bothP<0.01). The fractalkine expression in the 5% CIH+RH group was dramatically downregulated compared with that in the 5% CIH group (P<0.01).
Conclusion: CIH can induce liver injury and high fractalkine expression in rat liver tissues.

OBJECTIVETo observe the difference between the combination therapy of alpha-interferon (IFN-alpha) therapy Yixuesheng Capsule and the monotherapy of IFN-alpha in treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
METHODA total of 288 patients with HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B proven by liver biopsy were included in this study. During the individualized therapy, they received hypodermic injection of IFN-alpha 1b, with 5 MU x time(-1) and three times x w(-1). Of them, 125 patients received combination therapy with Yixuesheng Capsule for three months, with 1.0 g/time and three times/d; and 163 patients received only IFN-alpha 1b (the IFN-alpha monotherapy group). After the course of therapy, all patients were followed up for at least 24 months. The intention-to-treat analysis was adopted for statistic analysis.
RESULTThe two groups showed no statistical significance by gender, age, liver necroinflammation grading, liver fibrosis staging, serum ALT levels, serum HBV DNA levels and IFN-alpha therapy course. The whole course and the 24-month follow-up visit cover all of 112 patients in the combination treatment group and 141 cases in the IFN-alpha monotherapy group. The response rates of the combination treatment group and the IFN-alpha monotherapy group were 48.0% (60/125) and 35.0% (57/163) (x = 4.980, P = 0.026) at the end of treatment, respectively, 45.6% (57/125) and 33.1% (54/163) (x2 = 4.645, P =0.031) at the end of 12-month-follow-up period, respectively, and 38.4% (48/125) and 32.5% (53/163) (x2 = 1.076, P = 0.300) at the end of 24-month follow-up period, respectively.
CONCLUSIONThe combination treatment with IFN-alpha and Yixuesheng Capsule shows a slightly better sustained efficacy on HBeAg-positive chronic hepatitis B patients compared with IFN-alpha monotherapy.

By bioinformatics analysis, a putative keratinase gene gm2886 (Accession number: KY368946) was discovered in the genome of a feather-degrading strain, Streptomyces albidoflavus Fea-10. gm2886 was ligated into integrative Escherichia coli-Streptomyces shuttle vector pSET152 under the promoter PermE and added with C-terminal His-tag. The expression vector was transformed into Streptomyces pactum ACT12 by conjugal transfer and the recombinant protein GM2886-His6 was detected in fermentation broth. GM2886-His6 was purified and characterized. Its size was nearly 36 kDa. GM2886-His6 showed proteolytic activity towards a variety of substrates and could even degrade insoluble substrates, such as azure keratin and chicken feathers. The optimal pH and temperature of GM2886-His6 for proteolysis of casein was pH 10.0 and 50 ℃, respectively. The enzyme activity was inhibited by PMSF, but not EDTA, indicating that GM2886-His6 was a serine proteinase. Our results laid the foundation for the research of the molecular biological mechanism on feather-degrading and for the further utilization of Fea-10.
