Objective To investigate the expressions of CD40 and ICAM-1 in primary hepatocarcinoma and clinical significance and analyze their relationships with carcinogenesis and progression of liver cancer. Methods S-P immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of CD40 and ICAM-1 in 40 cases of hepatocarcinoma and 25 cases of normal liver tissue (distance from cancer tissues≥2 cm). Results The positive expression rates of CD40 and ICAM-1 were 47.5% and 82.5% in liver cancer tissue, which was significantly higher than those in normal liver tissue (P0.05).The positive expression rate of ICAM-1 was associated with lymph node metastasis as well as histological grade(P

ObjectiveTo evaluate the significance of CK19 mRNA monitoring in peripheral blood of breast cancer patients.MethodsPeripheral blood samples were collected from 137 breast cancer patients preoperatively, one day post-operation,7 days,1,3,6,12,18,and 24 months after operation.RTPCR was used to detect CK19 mRNA expression. The relationships were analyzed between CK19 mRNA expression and treatment result, between CK19 mRNA expression and clinicopathological parameters.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the level of CK19 mRNA as tested preoperatively, and 1,7 days postoperatively(P > 0.05 ).From one month and thereafter,CK 19 mRNA decreased significantly when compared with that immediate perioperatives ( P < 0.05 ). Postoperative peripheral CK19 mRNA expression increased in those found with recurrent or metastasized tumors ( P < 0.01 ). CK19 mRNA expression does not correlate with patient's menstrual status, estrogen receptor expression, progesterone receptor expression,HER-2 expression and Ki67 proliferation expression (P > 0.05 ). But there was statistically significant correlation between CK19 mRNA expression and tumour size, histology grading, pathological type, lymph node metastasis ( P < 0.01 ).ConclusionsIn breast cancer patients peripheral blood CK19 mRNA expression is correlated with risk clinicopathological parameters, and increases in patients with postoperative recurrence and tumor metastasis.

Objective:To develop an HPLC-MS/MS method for the determination of rosuvastatin in plasma and study the relative bioavailability and bioequivalence of the capsules and tablets in Chinese healthy volunteers. Methods: A single oral dose (20 mg of the test or reference preparation) was given to 24 male healthy volunteers in a randomized crossover study. The plasma concentration of rosuvastatin was determined by HPLC-MS/MS. The pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated and the bioavailability and bioequiva-lence of the two preparations were evaluated by DAS 3. 0 software. Results:After a single dose, the pharmacokinetic parameters of ro-suvastatin capsules and tablets were as follows:Tmax was (3. 56 ± 1. 68) h and (3. 63 ± 1. 56) h, Cmax was (21. 17 ± 13. 74) ng· ml-1 and (26.33 ±23.22) ng·ml-1, t1/2 was (10.68 ±5.50) h and (9.04 ±6.00) h, AUC0-t was (219.31 ±146.09) ng·h· ml-1 and (252. 43 ± 194. 96) ng·h·ml-1 , AUC0-∞ was (225. 32 ± 146. 76) ng·h·ml-1 and (257. 24 ± 194. 61) ng·h·ml-1 , respectively. The 90% confidential interval of AUC0-t, AUC0-∞ and Cmax was 81. 1%-106% , 81. 8%-105. 4% and 77. 9%-104. 5%, respectively. The mean relative bioavailability of the test preparation(the capsules) to the reference preparation(the tablets) was (100. 7 ± 54. 1)%. Conclusion:The test and reference preparations are bioequivalent.

Objective To investigate the expressions of Stat3, CyclinD1 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and analyze their relationships with carcinogenesis and progression of NSCLC. Methods SP immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expressions of Stat3, CyclinD1 and PCNA in 45 cases of NSCLC. Results The positive rate of Stat3 was 71. 1 % in NSCLC. The expression intensities of Stat3 was not associated with different tumor sizes and histological type, but it was associated with the expression intensities of CyclinDi and PCNA (r= 0.531, P

Journal of International Oncology 2017;44(3):221-223
Esophageal collision tumor is an extremely rare tumor which defined as the concrescence of two distinct primary neoplasms. The pathobiological mechanism of collision tumors is yet to be understood.Clinical symptoms, endoscopic examination and imaging are all lack of specificity.Diagnosing a collision tumor prior to surgery is difficult.Careful pathological examination is crucial for accurately diagnosing the neoplasms in a collision tumor and ensuring appropriate management and a favorable prognosis.Esophageal collision tumors have been increasingly reported in recent years. With the aim of improving the knowledge level of esophageal collision tumor, the clinical and pathological features of this tumor is needed to be summarized.

Objective To investigate the effects of risperidone and its active metabolite, paliperidone (9-hydroxyrisperidone), on hyperactivity and deficient sensorimotor gating induced by MK-801 in rats. Methods Adult male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats (n=96) were used in this study. The effects of risperidone (0.1 mg/kg) and paliperidone (0.05, 0.10 and 0.20 mg/kg) on MK-801-induced (0.40 mg/kg) hyperactivity were examined in 48 rats with with 8 animals per group. The effects of risperidone(0.5 mg/kg)and paliperidone(0.10,0.50,1.00 mg/kg)on MK-801-induced (0.25 mg/kg) deficit in prepulse inhibition (PPI) were examined in 48 rats with 8~10 animals per group. Results Risperidone (0.10 mg/kg) and paliperidone (0.05 mg/kg) diminished the MK-801-induced hyperactivity (P<0.05). But paliperidone (0.10, 0.20 mg/kg) group did not affect locomotor activity compared to the control group. Risperidone (0.10 mg/kg) and different doses of paliperidone (0.10, 0.50, 1.00 mg/kg) enhanced the PPI baseline in rats. However, only risperidone (0.10 mg/kg), but not paliperidone restored the MK-801-induced deficits in PPI. Conclusion Risperidone and paliperidone have different pharmacological actions on MK-801-induced hyperactivity and deficits in prepulse inhibition in rats, suggesting that pharmacological actions of paliperidone are different from those of risperidone, although paliperidone is the active metabolite of risperidone.
