OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of succinate dehydrogenase complex subunit A (sdha)gene on cell proliferation, cell cycle and apoptosis of mouse hepatic cell line BNL CL.2 cells. METHODS The BNL CL.2 cells were transfected by two kinds of sdha-shRNA lentivirus to knockdown sdha gene. The infection efficiency of BNL CL.2 cells infected with lentiviral vectors was analyzed by flow cytometry. The expression of sdha gene and SDHA protein was detected by real-time PCR and Western blotting, respectively. The effect of sdha gene on cell proliferation of BNL CL.2 cells was examined by growth curve, while cell cycle and apoptosis were analyzed by flow cytometry. RESULTS The infection efficiency of BNL CL.2 cells in sh-control group and in sdha-shRNA group was above 80%. Compared with sh-control group, the expression of sdha gene in BNL CL.2 cells infected with sdha-shRNA lentivirus was decreased by about 20 times(P<0.01),the expression of SDHA protein was decreased by about 10 times(P<0.01),and the growth rate was about 70%that of sh-control group(P<0.05). The cells were arrested in S phase, and the percentage of cells in S phase was 0.74 times that of sh-control group(P<0.01). The percentage of cells in G0/GI phase was 1.17 times that of sh-control group(P<0.01). The percentage of cells in G2/M was 1.37 times that of sh-control group(P<0.01). But there was no obvious difference in the apoptosis rate. CONCLUSION The reduced expression of SDHA protein can inhibit the proliferation of mouse hepatic cells, and the inhibitory mechanism may be cell cycle arrest. There is possibly no relationship between inhibition and cell apoptosis.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the improvement effects of Zhuanggushenjin capsules on osteoporosis induced by reti-noic acid in mice. METHODS:84 mice were randomly divided into normal control group, model control group, positive control group [Gushukang granules,5 g(crude drug)/kg] and Zhuanggushenjin capsules high-dose,medium-dose and low-dose groups [7.80,3.90,1.95 g(crude drug)/kg]. Except for normal control group, those groups were given retinoic acid(90 mg/kg)to induce osteoporosis model. 7 days after modeling, all drug groups were given relevant medicine intragastrically, normal control group and model control group given normal saline intragastrically ,once a day,for consecutive 14 days. ALP activity and the contents of cal-cium and phosphorus in serum and thigh-bone were determined. The body weight, the dry weight, length and diameter of thigh-bone were determined, and organ coefficients (spleen, testicle, ovarium and uterus) were calculated. RESULTS:Compared with normal control group, the activity of ALP in serum of mice increased in model control group, while the contents of calcium and phosphorus, body weight, length and diameter of thigh-bone decreased significantly;spleen coefficients increased, while testi-cle and uterus coefficients decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Compared with model control group, the contents of calcium and phos-phorus increased in Zhuanggushenjin capsules groups, while spleen coefficient decreased;the activity of ALP in serum of mice de-creased in high-dose and medium-dose groups, while body weight, the length of thigh-bone,testicle and uterus coefficients in-creased;diameter of thigh-bone increased in high-dose group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). CONCLUSIONS:Zhuanggushenjin capsules can improve retinoic acid-induced osteoporosis in mice to certain extent.

Methods All of 53 patients with degenerative spondylolisthesis were en-rolled in this study during January 2014 to January 2016. All patients underwent stand-alone ALLIF with self-locked cage, includ-ing 15 males and 38 females with an average of 57.4±11.2 years old. The surgical level included L3,4(4 cases), L4,5(33 cases) and L5S1(16 cases). The operative time, bleed loss and complications were recorded. Clinical outcome was measured by visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry disability index (ODI) and the health questionnaire (SF-36). Radiological measures were slippage, disc height, lumbar lordosis, sagittal diameter and area of dural canal, foraminal height and area, and fusion rate. All the data were sta-tistically analyzed. Results All patients were followed up for at least 24 months. The mean operation time was 64.2 ± 12.5 min-utes, and the mean bleed loss was 72.8 ± 14.3 ml. No serious complications such as vascular or nerve injury occurred during peri operation. VAS for low back pain,VAS for leg pain and ODI were significantly decreased from 6.8 ± 1.5,5.6 ± 2.4 and 58.5%± 18.6%preoperatively to 1.6±1.2, 1.2±1.1 and 18.5%±8.8%at 24 months postoperatively. The SF-36 scores were improved signif-icantly from 56.7 ± 12.8 preoperatively to 79.4 ± 14.3 at 24 months postoperatively. Slippage of patients was reduced significantly from 22.5%± 8.3%preoperatively to 5.7%± 2.3%. Disc height and lumbar lordosis were significantly increased from 6.2 ± 1.6 mm and 46.4°±9.2° preoperatively to 10.5±1.4 mm and 53.2°±11.2° at 24 months postoperatively. Sagittal diameter and cross-section-al area of thecal sac were significantly increased from 11.7±2.2 mm and 78.4±28.6 mm2 preoperatively to 13.8±1.6 mm and 112.5± 23.9 mm2 at 6 months postoperatively. Intervertebral foramina height and area were significantly increased from 15.8 ± 4.3 mm and 136.5±25.6 mm2 preoperatively to 19.2±2.5 mm and 157.6±23.1 mm2 at 6 months postoperatively. At 24 months follow-up, the fusion rate was 100%and the subsidence rate was 10.5%. Conclusion Stand-alone ALLIF could achieve satisfactory clinical re-sults and reduction for DLS. Disc height and lumbar lordosis were restored. Efficient decompression was obtained with significant-ly increased sagittal diameter and cross-sectional area of thecal sac and intervertebral foramina height and area. Stand-alone AL-LIF provides a new surgical strategy for the treatment of DLS.

Objective:
To investigate the association between maternal parenting styles and quality of life among preschools,to provide a scientific theoretical basis for interventions targeting at prmoting early life health.
Methods:
From May to July, 2021, a stratified cluster sampling method was used to enroll 4 233 child mother dyads from 14 preschools in Chengdu. An online questionnaire survey was administered to collect socio demographic information, maternal parenting styles, and children s quality of life.
Results:
The overall score of quality of life was (80.17±9.81) among preschool children in Chengdu. In the multivariate linear regression models, maternal emotional warmth were significantly associated with higher scores in emotional functioning, social functioning, school functioning, psychosocial health summary score, and total scores ( β coefficients in the high level group were 2.63 , 4.95 , 12.05, 6.54,4.88, P <0.05). In contrast, both maternal rejection and overprotection were significantly associated with lower scores in physical functioning, emotional functioning, social functioning, school functioning, psychosocial health summary score, and the total scores of children s quality of life (for rejection: β coefficients in the high level group were -9.39, -10.82, -7.12 , -6.04 , -8.00, and -8.35 , respectively; for overprotection: β coefficients in the high level group were -6.71, -5.85, -3.08 , -2.39 , -3.77, and - 4.51 , respectively, P <0.05). The associations between high level of maternal rejection and children s emotional functioning showed significant gender differences( β =-3.23, P <0.05).
Conclusion
Maternal parenting style has a significant impact on children s quality of life. Interventions targeting at maternal parenting styles may be beneficial to improve the quality of life in preschool children.

OBJECTIVE:
To describe the incidence and to discuss the risk factors of premature birth in rural areas of Liuyang.
METHODS:
We collected subjects from villages and towns in Liuyang through cluster sampling method. Before enrolling in this cohort, all of them had established health records from January 2010 to December 2011. We followed up the early, middle and late stages of pregnancy until delivery, and collected medical records and maternal health care manual of this cohort as our data materials. We explored the main influence factors of premature delivery by χ2 test and unconditional logistic regression analysis for single factor and multivariate analysis.
RESULTS:
Among 6270 women who enrolled in our cohort, 259 were diagnosed as premature birth. The incidence (4.13%) was lower than the national average level. Non-conditional logistic regression analysis showed that the risk factors of premature birth were as follows: OR of placental abruption was 7.678 (95% CI: 2.249-26.215), that of premature rupture of fetal membranes (PROM) was 5.177 (95% CI: 3.945-6.793), that of uterine abnormal and deformity was 2.675 (95% CI: 1.007-7.107), that of placenta anomaly was 2.633 (95% CI: 1.666-4.162), that of hypertension in pregnancy was 2.172 (95% CI: 1.044-4.521), that of pregnancy complications was 1.806 (95% CI: 1.033-3.157), that of male fetus was 1.429 (95% CI: 1.086-1.881). Protective factors of preterm birth were too frequent prenatal examination (OR=0.502, 95% CI: 1.033-3.157) and single pregnancy (OR=0.155, 95% CI: 0.075-0.319).
CONCLUSION
Preterm delivery is caused by complicated factors, such as placental abruption, PROM and male fetus. Comprehensive measures should be taken to reduce preterm birth.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the change of blood pressure in patients with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy after delivery and the risk factors.
METHODS:
In a retrospective cohort study, we collected subjects from villages and towns in Liuyang by cluster sampling method. Before enrolling in this cohort, all had established health records from January 2010 to December 2011. We collected the medical records and maternal health care manuals of this cohort as our data materials, focusing on the blood pressure records as well as related features. We compared the differences of recovery rate of postpartum blood pressure in different kinds of antenatal blood pressure groups with χ2 test. In order to explore the main factors influencing the recovery rate of blood pressure of patients with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, we conducted univariate and multivariate analysis by χ2 test and unconditional logistic regression analysis.
RESULTS:
Among the 460 women with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy in our analysis, the recovery rate of postpartum blood pressure reached 88.7%. Multivariate analysis showed that the risk factors influencing the recovery rate of postpartum blood pressure included advanced age (OR=0.436), higher degree of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (OR=0.436), and hypertension with simultaneously high systolic and diastolic blood pressures (OR=0.192).
CONCLUSION
For most patients with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, the blood pressure may decrease to normal level 42 days after delivery. Women with advanced age, higher degree of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy and hypertension with simultaneously high systolic and diastolic blood pressures should be given more attention.
