Bed rest for pregnant women recovering from threatened abortion and premature labor to prevent abortion can cause deconditioning syndrome, but it is not clear what kind of physical exercise should be provided for these patients. To better provide appropriate rehabilitation for threatened abortion and premature labor patients, we investigated patient clinical records retrospectively. In 11 patients who were provided rehabilitation within the past three years, eight delivered during hospitalization and three became independent in ADLs and were discharged while still pregnant. All patients who delivered during their hospitalization became independent in ADLs immediately after delivery, and as a result, the maternal prognosis was good. Choosing an appropriate rehabilitation approach for patients with threatened premature labor may help alleviate their deconditioning during pregnancy without any adverse impact.

Purpose:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the cone-beam computed tomographic (CBCT) imaging and histopathological characteristics of osteoradionecrosis (ORN) and medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ).
Materials and Methods:
Ten surgical specimens from segmental mandibulectomy (3 ORN and 7 MRONJ) were analyzed using CBCT. The CBCT parameters were as follows: high-resolution mode (tube voltage, 90.0 kV; tube current, 4.00 mA; rotation time, 16.8 s; field of view, 56 mm×56 mm; thickness, 0.099 mm). Histopathological characteristics were evaluated using histological slides of the surgical specimens. The Pearson chi-square test was used to compare ORN and MRONJ in terms of CBCT findings (internal texture, sequestrum, periosteal reaction and cortical perforation) and histopathological characteristics (necrotic bone, inflammatory cells, reactive bone formation, bacteria, Actinomyces, and osteoclasts). A P value less than 0.05 was considered to indicate statistical significance.
Results:
MRONJ showed periosteal reaction on CBCT more frequently than ORN (7 of 7 [100%] vs. 0 of 3 [0%], P<0.05). Regarding histopathological characteristics, MRONJ showed osteoclasts more frequently than ORN (6 of 7 [85.7%] vs. 0 of 3 [0%], P<0.05).
Conclusion
This study evaluated the CBCT imaging and histopathological characteristics of ORN and MRONJ, and the findings suggest that CBCT could be useful for the evaluation of ORN and MRONJ.

Ryokeijutsukanto consists of four crude drugs, Hoelen, Cinnamonmi Cortex, Atractylodis Rhizoma, and Glycyrrhizae Radix. In Kampo medicine, it is used for the yang stage, fluid disturbances, and qi counterflow. It is also used for orthostatic disturbance, which does not change smoothly from parasympathetic nerve dominance to sympathetic nerve dominance. This time, we report that ryokeijutsukanto is also effective for disturbance with function regulation of autonomic nervous system. Case 1: a patient who had headache after exercise and working. Case 2: a patient who had dizziness and cold sweat that appeared in the evening. Case 3: a patient who had headache after working or on holidays. In these cases, ryokeijutsukanto was effective for symptoms that appeared when the patient could not change smoothly from sympathetic nerve dominance to parasympathetic nerve dominance. Furthermore, we found that ryokeijutsukanto was effective, even if there was no sign of fluid disturbance in conjunction with the yang stage and qi counterflow. We identified a new category of patients for whom ryokeijutsukanto is effective.
