Vitamin D deficiency has shown a close relationship with diabetes mellitus.The adequate supplementation of vitamin D can reduce the incidence of diabetes mellitus and improve glucose control by inhibiting inflammatory and immune response,reducing insulin resistance,and promoting insulin synthesis and secretion.

Transfusion -related iron overload damage iron homeostasis of organism ,which damages the structure of the vital organs and leads to the dysfunction of important organs .Iron overload affects the prognosis of the patients,which promotes myelodysplastic syndrome transformation to acute leukemia and reduces the total sur -vival rate of patients with hematopoietic stem cell transplantation ,which increases the treatment related mortality after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and increases the chance of infection .Iron depletion therapy can de-lay the progression of acute leukemia and prolong the survival time of the patients with acute leukemia and show a certain anti-proliferative activity .

The following service models were realized by integrating the web page and book management platform in our library into the office automation system of our hospital, including automatic library service, non-barrier information delivery, scientific management, E-mail information warning and push service, medical information report and public information service, online reference service, opening communication and feedback system, SDI retrieval and delivery service, thus turning the passive information service into active information service which improved the information service in our library.

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum Leptin levels and insulin resistance.Methods During 2001-10~2002-08 fasting serum Leptin concentrations were measured with RIA in 196 cases(including 118 type 2 diabetes,78 controls),and height,body weight were measured to calculate body mass index(BMI).Results HbA_1c,SBP,TG,Leptin were correlated with ISI,Leptin concentration were higher in type 2 diabetes than in controls;Leptin concentration was significantly increased in obese subjects,whereas in type 2 diabetes serum Leptin concentration had no significant difference between obese subjects and non-obese subjects.Conclusion Most of obeses subjects have insulin resistance,whether obesity or not,the patients type 2 diabetes have some kind of insulin resistance.

Objective To investigate the effects of prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) on renal cell apoptosis in rats with diabetic nephropathy(DN). Methods Totally 55 male Wistar rats were intraperitoneally injected with streptozotocin (STZ) to develop DN model.46 successfully established DN rat models were randomly divided into 4 groups:PGE1 group received PGE1 intravenously at dose of 10 μg · kg-1 · d-1 for 10 d (n=12),angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEI) group given ACEI orally at dose of 10 mg kg-1·d-1 for 8 W(n=12),PGE1+ACEI group given both PGE1 and ACEI (n=11),DN control group(n=11) and normal control group(n=10) given saline only.All rats were killed after 8 weeks and blood samples or kidney tissue were collected.Blood urea nitrogen (BUN),serum creatine(Scr),albuminuria of 24 h were detected.Renal pathological morphology and apoptosis of renal cells were observed by HE staining and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick-end-labeling (TUNEL) test. Results At 8 week after treatment,the 24-hour urinary albumin levels were decreased significantly in the following order:DN control group＞ PGE1 group ＞ ACEI group ＞PGE1+ ACEI group＞ control group[(374.6±54.1)μg,(570.0±72.5)μg,(253.1±28.9)μg vs.(1123.4±106.2)μg,P＜0.01 or P＜0.05].BUN[(9.3±2.6)mmol/L,(11.0±3.5)mmol/L,(8.4±2.2)mmol/Lvs.(15.1±4.0)mmol/L]and Scr [(74.5±19.2) umol/L,(83.5± 15.8)μmol/L,(64.6±17.3) μmol/L vs.(117.7±33.0)μmol/L]levels after treatment were also reduced in PGE1,ACEI and PGE1 + ACEI groups as compared with DN control group (P＜0.01or P＜ 0.05). Pathological manifestations of all treatment groups showed better results than DN group,and PGE1 + ACEI group was the best.There was no obvious apoptosis in glomerular area with on significant differences between groups.While apoptosis of renal tubules was observed in DN rats. Conclusions Renal tubule but not glomerular cell apoptosis may play some role in Prostaglandin E1 reduciug albuminuria.

Objective To summarize clinical and histopathological features of trauma-triggered autoimmune bullous skin diseases,and to explore its possible pathogenesis.Methods Clinical manifestations,histopathological features and treatment of 3 cases of trauma-triggered pemphigus or pemphigoid were analyzed,and summarized according to related domestic and overseas literature.Results Of the 3 cases,1 was a female aged 62 years,and 2 were males aged 60 and 71 years respectively.They all had a history of skin trauma or surgery before the onset of the diseases,and time intervals from trauma to diseases were 5,5 weeks and 3 days respectively.The 3 cases were diagnosed as bullous pemphigoid (anti -BP180 antibody 109 U/ml,anti-BP230 antibody negative),pemphigus vulgaris (anti-Dsg1 antibody 68.8 U/ml,anti-Dsg3 antibody 219 U/ml) and pemphigus foliaceus (anti-Dsg1 antibody 143 U/ml,anti-Dsg3 antibody negative) respectively.Their lesions were relieved dramatically after oral and (or) topical glucocorticoid treatment.Conclusions Trauma may be a triggering factor for autoimmune bullous skin diseases.For patients with post-traumatic poor wound healing or skin erythema,blisters and erosion,which can hardly be attributed to trauma or surgery itself,autoimmune bullous skin diseases should be considered,and histopathological or immunopathological examinations should be performed timely.

Lysozyme, pepsin, ovalbumin, hemoglobin andγ-globumin were chosen as templates to investigate the imprinting capability of amphoteric polyacrylamide cryogels. Prepolymerizing solutions contained acrylic acid and allyl amine, as well as acrylamide and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide as the functional monomers. As a result there were both acidic and basic functional groups in the polymers, facilitating effective interactions with likewise amphoteric proteins. The proteins differ greatly and cover wide scopes of molecular weights and isoelectric points. Regardless of the values of the molecular weights and isoelectric points, all the templates gave higher retentions on the MIP tubes than on the NIP tube. The MIP of lysozyme indicated the highest imprinting factor of 7. 0, and that of γ-globumin showed the lowest, 2. 0. The values of other proteins were intervenient. Conclusively the amphoteric polyacrylamide cryogels were suitable imprinting materials for various proteins, and could potentially be used for protein recognition, purification, and depletion.

The construction of a paperless medical record system is a new stage in the development of intelligent medical record management in hospitals.The implementation of paperless medical records has significant practical significance in impro-ving medical record management,enhancing the level of medical services,and reducing healthcare operational costs.To explore the key technological issues of paperless medical record system for inpatient care,this article first provides an overview of the po-sitioning and business process of paperless medical record system in the hospital's information system.Secondly,based on the actual application of paperless medical records in our hospital,the core difficulties and application processes of key technological aspects such as trusted electronic signatures and comprehensive verification of medical record data from all dimensions are dis-cussed.Next,the integrated application effects of paperless medical records are analyzed.Finally,the key research directions and future development models of paperless medical records are discussed.

Objective To explore the intervention effect of low-dose vitamin D on glucose metabolism of patients with impaired glucose regulation. Methods A total of196 subjects receiving oral glucose tolerance test were enrolled in this study, including individuals with normal glucose tolerance ( NGT group, n=67) and indi-viduals with impaired glucose regulation (IGR group, n=129). The IGR group was divided into intervention group ( n=64) and non-intervention group ( n=65) according to vitamin D intervention ( for 1 year) performed or not. Clinical data and biochemical parameters were collected. Results The level of serum 25(OH)D3 was significantly lower in the IGR group than that of normal control group ( P<0. 05) . After 1 year of low-dose vita-min D intervention, insulin sensitivity increased and insulin resistance decreased in the intervention group as compared with non-intervention group. Diabetes developed less frequently in the intervention group ( 25 of 64 [ 39. 1％] ) compared with non-intervention group ( 30 of 65 [ 46. 2％] ) . But there was no significant differ-ent in diabetes prevalence between the two groups. Conclusions Vitamin D intervention can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce insulin resistance in patients with impaired glucose regulation. Low dose vitamin D can improve the abnormal glucose metabolism outcome in patients with impaired glucose regulation.
