Objective To investigate the expression of aromatase cytochrome P450 (P450arom), the secretion of estradiol and the suppressive effect of aromatase inhibitor letrozole on the proliferation of uterine leiomyoma cells in vitro. Methods Uterine leiomyoma cells were cultured in vitro, after the action of letrozole with different concentration, MTT was used to examine the proliferative activity of uterine leiomyoma cells, RT-PCR and immunocytochemistry was used to determine the expression of the P450arom protein and mRNA, and the concentration of estradiol in media supernatant was measured by radioimmunity. Results Low dosage (0.06 μmol/L) of letrozole had no effect on the expression of P450arom protein and mRNA, and estradiol synthesis in uterine leiomyoma cell (P>0.05). However, high dosage(0,6-6 μmol/L) of letrozole could down-regulate the expression of P450arom, and to inhibit estradiol synthesis and the proliferation activity of uterine leiomyoma cells(P<0.05). Furthermore, the inhibition were shown to decline gradually along with the increase in the concentrations of letrozole. Conclusion The aromatase inhibitor letrozole could suppress the proliferation of uterine leiomyoma cells in the dosage-dependent manner by down-regulating the expression of the P450arom and decreasing the estradiol synthesis, suggesting that the drug may possibly be effective in the clinical treatment of uterine leiomyoma.

Objective To compare curative effects between laparoscopic oviduct-sparing operation and medical interventional treatment for the management of tubal pregnancy.Methods A total of 63 patients with tubal pregnancy were randomly divided into two groups.One group underwent laparoscopic salpingotomy and aspiration of the gestational sac content, while the other group underwent intra-tubal injection of methotrexate(MTX).Curative effects of the two procedures were compared.Results Laparoscopic oviduct-sparing operation was successfully performed on one session in 31 out of 32 patients,the success rate being 96.9%.Medical interventional treatment was conducted successfully in 24 out of 31 patients,23 of whom received one dose of MTX and 1 of whom received two doses,the success rate being 77.4%.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in success rates (?~2=3.765,P=0.052).The time for serum ?-hCG to normal levels was significantly shorter in patients receiving laparoscopic oviduct-sparing operation(9.1?2.1 d) than in patients receiving interventional treatment(26.3?3.9 d)(t=-20.974,P=0.000).Conclusions Both laparoscopic oviduct-sparing operation and medical interventional treatment can effectively preserve affected oviduct for patients with tubal pregnancy.As compared with medical interventional treatment,laparoscopic oviduct-sparing operation has a broader range of indications,less side effects,and a shorter recovery time of serum ?-hCG.

Objective: To investigate health equity status of the elderly with different socioeconomic status(SES)and provide basis for health promotion. Methods:The data of 2011-2012 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey was used to analyze health equity of the elderly with different SES. Results: There is an inverse socioeconomic gradient in self-evaluation of ill health and the prevalence of activity of daily living (ADL). The lower economic level is, the higher self-evaluation of ill health and the damage rate of ADL are, and the higher non-outpatient rate and non-hospitalization rate are; the urban elderly have better health and use more health services and the elderly in eastern region have better health and use more health services than those in eastern region. Conclusion: There is the health inequity for the elderly with different SES. In order to implement the health care insurance and medical assistance system of the elderly, it needs to allocate health resources to rural and western areas, narrow the gap between urban and rural areas and improve the health level of the elderly.

Objective:To study the behavior problems in children with Tourette syndrome and related family factors.Methods:132 children with Tourette syndrome were collected as our sample. Their parents completed CBCL (child behavior checklist) and FES (family environment scale).Results:The rate of behavior problems in this group was 26.5%, much higher than that of normal children (13.6%). The main factors having influence on this included expressiveness, independence and initiative, entertainment and moral religion. Objective To study the clinical efficacy of superselective uterine arterioembolization in treating uterine myoma. Methods From February to August 2000, 28 cases of uterine myomas were undergone bilateral arterioembolization of tumor feeding vessels. Results The successful rate of embolization catheterization reached 100%.B-mode ultrasound examination revealed the following during 1～6 months after the procedure, with an average shrinkage of 25% in volume for all cases in the first month follow up,complete disappearance of tumor in 8 cases and with an average shrinkage of 68% volumetrically for the other 20 cases, together with conspicuous decrease in volume of menstruation.Conclusions Interventional treatment for uterine myoma is definite effectilve especilally in submucosal uterine myoma.
