Objective:To find the threshold value concentration of cobalt causing myocardium cell damage. Methods:Cobalt in different concentrations (10 μg/ml,20 μg/ml,40 μg/ml,80 μg/ml) were added into the medium of cultured myocardium cell of rat (1~3 days old) in vitro. Then the activities of GOT,CK,LDH,HBDH in the medium were measured. Results:The results showed that when cobalt concentration was 10~20 μg/ml,the activity of GOT,CK,LDH,HBDH did not change markedly. But when cobalt concentration was more than 40 μg/ml,the activities of those enzymes increased significantly. Conclusion:The studies demonstrated that the activities of enzymes in the medium of cultured myocardium cell could increase with the difference of coblat concentrations. The threshold value concentration of cobalt which could cause myocardium cell damage is 40 μg/ml.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Caprini risk score-based care on the prevention of venous thromboembolism of patients with major orthopedic surgery. Methods:Totally 124 patients with major orthopedic surgery were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, each group contained 62 cases. The control group received routine thrombosis prevention nursing, patients in the experimental group carried out Caprini risk score-based intervention. The rate of VTE was compared between two groups, the levels of D-Dimer as well as thigh circumference was measured after 24 hours of admission, 3 days after surgery, 5 days after surgery and at discharge day. At discharge day, the inpatients satisfaction with nursing service scale was used to assessment the satisfaction with nursing service of inpatients. Results:The rate of VTE in the experimental group was 1.6% (1/62) and 6.5% (4/62) in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant ( χ2 value was 1.876, P=0.171). Three days after surgery, 5 days after surgery and at discharge day, the D-Dimer were (1.26±0.65) μg/ml, (1.27±0.35) μg/ml, (0.96±0.27) μg/ml in the experimental group, 5 days after surgery and at discharge day, the thigh circumference were (29.81±4.15) cm, (28.86±3.40) cm in the experimental group, significantly lower than those in the control group [(1.64±0.58) μg/ml, (1.51±0.55) μg/ml, (1.25±0.44) μg/ml, (31.84±5.22) cm, (30.83±3.91) cm], the difference was statistically significant ( t value was 2.405-4.485, P<0.05). The health education and guidance, personality traits, service quality, discharge guidance scores and total satisfaction scores were 26.31±3.06, 35.73±3.64, 27.89±3.11, 8.47±1.18 and 111.08±6.33, significantly higher than those in the control group (24.15±2.31, 33.92±2.66, 26.27±3.41, 7.42±1.82 and 106.52±5.85), the difference was statistically significant ( t value was 2.750-4.433, P<0.05). Conclusions:Caprini risk score-based nursing care significantly alleviates the hypercoagulable states and relieves the degree of swelling of the affected of patients with major orthopedic surgery, as well as improves patients' satisfaction with nursing work.

OBJECTIVE To find out relative risk factors of nosocomial infection in order to provide the evidence for taking measures to effectively control and reduce the infection rate.METHODS A retrospective survey was carried out on 19 535 cases of hospitalized patients during Jan and Dec of 2006.RESULTS In 2006,the nosocomial infection patients were 389,and the nosocomial infection rate of hospitalized patients was 1.99%;the sections with higher infection rates were respectively as follows: ICU,department of neurology, department of oncology, department of nephrology and department of pediatrics;the infected part of the body mainly occurred in respiratory tract, urinary tract, and gastrointestinal tract. In the nosocomial infection,132 strains were detected and its main pathogens were Gram-negative bacteria(52.27%).CONCLUSIONS The effective measures to control and prevent nosocomial infection rates should involve rational use of antibiotic drugs, increasing in the rate of delivering samples, shortening the period of hospitalization, decreasing in the aggressive operations and strengthening inspections of key departments.

Objective To study the effects of exogenous hormones,gibberellin(GA3)and indole-3-acetic acid(IAA),on growth and tanshinones accumulation in the radix of Salvia miltiorrhiza.MethodsThe herb characters and contents of tanshinones(cryptotanshinone, tanshinone Ⅰ,and tanshinone ⅡA)in the radix of S.miltiorrhiza with different hormone treatments were investigated and compared in the combination of trail pot and indoor analysis. Results It promoted aboveground biomass in the radix of S.miltiorrhiza increasing with single GA3.But it inhibited underground biomass increasing. The exogenous addition of low-level and high-level GA3 was benefit for tanshinones accumulation, whereas the middle-level GA3 wasn't.The aboveground and underground biomass in the radix of S.miltiorrhiza increased indistinctively with the increasing of IAA concentration and then decreased. And the IAA solutions also increased plant height and root length indistinctively.in a whole,it was benefit for tanshinones accumulation when applying low-level IAA(0.5 mg/L)singly.With the increasing of IAA concentration, the content of cryptotanshinone increased, but the contents of tanshinone Ⅰ and tanshinone ⅡA decreased. It promoted S.miltiorrhiza radix growth and three tanshinones contents increasing obviously with the combined application of two low-level hormones. Conclusion The applying of GA3 and IAA is benefit for the growth and three tanshinones accumulation in the radix of S.miltiorrhiza.

Objective To compare the botanical characters, yield, and active components in flowers of seven various cultivars from Chrysanthemum morifolium in planting base in Sheyang County, Northern Jiangsu Province and provide the theoretical and practical basis for plangting and expanding reproduction of improved cultivars of C. morifolium. Methods Based on the field experiment, comparison, and analysis of the botanical characters, yield, and active components (total flavonoid and chlorogenic acid) in flowers of the seven cultivars from C. morifolium, such as “Hongxinbaiju”, “Changbanbaiju”, and “Hubaiju” etc. Results The botanical characters of flowers are vary different among the seven cultivars from medicinal C. morifolium in the planting base; the amount of single capitulum is the main factor influencing on the yield of C. morifolium, the yield of “Hongxinbaiju” is the highest; the contents of total flavonoid and chlorogenic acid of “Changbanbaiju” are the highest in the seven cultivars. Conclusion From all the aspects, in the planting base of Northern Jiangsu Province, “Hongxinbaiju” and “Changbanbaiju” can be extended as major cultivars with good characters of superior quality and high yield, “Hubaiju” and “Huangjuhua” also can be cultivated at present.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the current situation and rationality of clinical usage of antibacterial drugs in our hospital and to find out corresponding supervision measures. METHODS According to the same method and criterion,3343 medical records of discharged patients in 14 departments were investigated retrospectively by utilizing the designed questionnaire. RESULTS The total application rate of antibacterial drugs was 60%,and the rate of preventive usage took up 41% of the total application rate, the application rate of cephalosporins was the highest, and that of quinolones was the next. For the combined usage of drugs,1 150 patients were treated with one drug,730 were treated with two drugs, and 99 were treated with more than three drugs. The treatment period of 1 086 patients was less than 7 days. CONCLUSIONS The usage of antibacterial drugs should be supervised more intensively and the training for medical personnel be strengthened to improve their knowledge of using antibacterial drugs,in order to achieve the rational usage of antibacterial drugs.
