What the medical book reviews focus are the academic contents and update information in medical books, and the popularization of update scientific achievements. The reviewed medical books must have the value for handing down scientific achievements and face the new problems and challenges encountered in the development of medical sciences. Medical book reviews are the booster for the accumulation and development of medical knowledge in medical college and university library. The book reviews written by medical experts were summarized,the experiences with the development of medical book review resources were described, and the advertising of network platform for book reviews was elaborated in our library.

Described in this paper are the contents of book review and the success of book review achieved in Li-brary of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, such the expanded cooperative scope of book review, the extended medical fields involved in book review, the displayed academic value of book review in scientific research and teach-ing, the taken measures for spreading book review, and the forecasted future development direction of book review.

Objective To conduct a single-center retrospective analysis on the distribution characteristics and prevalence of idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN) patients diagnosed with pathology for the past 16 years,to investigate diagnostic and differential diagnostic value of serum antiphospholipase A2 receptor antibodies (PLA2R-Ab),and to evaluate the correlation between PLA2R-Ab and clinical disease activity.Methods (1) 6996 biopsy-proven primary glomerular nephropathy (PGN) patients,including 1567 IMN cases,admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from January 2000 to December 2015 were involved.Demographics and pathological type were gathered from all patients.(2) 433 cases receiving renal biopsy and testing PLA2R-Ab from June 2015 to December 2015 were involved,with their clinical and laboratorial data being collected.During the period patients' follow-up time,therapeutic schedule and laboratory results were recorded.Results (1) IMN accounted for 22.4％ of primary glomerular disease,and patients above 40 years old accounted for more than 60％ of the IMN.(2) The sensitivity and specificity of serological PLA2R-Ab were 58.1％(95％CI 47.0％-68.5％) and 98.6％(95％CI 95.6％-99.6％) respectively.PLA2R-Ab positive rate was affected by immunosuppression therapy.(3) The PLA2R-Ab titers wasn't correlated with 24-hour urinary protein (r=-0.017,P=0.887),serum albumin (r=-0.072,P=0.549) and urinary red blood cell count (r=-0.030,P=0.802).There was no difference between PLA2R-Ab positive positive and PLA2R-Ab negative on proportion of IMN pathological stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ (P ＞ 0.05).Thirteen cases of patients with PLA2R-Ab positive were all prescribed glucocorticoid combined with immunosuppressant.After (2.21± 1.09) months,the decrease of PLA2R-Ab titers was in accordance with 24-hour urinary protein quantity descending and serum albumin ascending (P ＜ 0.05).Condusions The incidence of IMN increase year by year,especially in the mid-aged and the elderly.Serum PLA2R-Ab correlates not with IMN pathological stage,but with the development of IMN.Monitoring PLA2R-Ab titers individually may access the efficiency of treatment.

Objective To evaluate effects of camptothecin on the autophagy of HaCaT cells.Methods Some cultured HaCaT cells were divided into several groups to be treated with camptothecin at concentrations of 5,10,25,50,100 and 200 nmol/L,and 0.1％ dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) (control group),respectively.Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was conducted to estimate the proliferative activity of HaCaT cells after 24-and 48-hour treatment,flow cytometry to evaluate cell apoptosis after 24-hour treatment,and Western blot analysis to measure the expression of autophagy-related proteins microtubuleassociated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3) and p62.Some HaCaT cells were divided into 2 groups to be treated with 10 nmol/L camptothecin and 0.1％ DMSO for 24 hours,respectively.Then,indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) was performed to determine the LC3 expression.Results Camptothecin at low concentrations of 5 and 10 nmol/L had no significant effects on the proliferation and apoptosis of HaCaT cells.Compared with the control group,the cellular proliferative rates were significantly inhibited by (31.23 ± 1.00)％,(54.21 ± 8.10)％ and (66.75 ± 10.70)％ in the 50-,100-and 200-nmol/L camptothecin groups after 24-hour treatment respectively,and by (25.81 ± 5.99)％,(44.35 ± 5.32)％,(65.81 ± 8.28)％ and (73.23 ± 9.59)％ in the 25-,50-,100-and 200-nmol/L camptothecin groups after 48-hour treatment respectively (all P ＜ 0.001).After 24-hour treatment,the apoptosis rates were significantly higher in the 50-,100-and 200-nnol/L camptothecin groups (14.46％ ± 2.38％,19.15％ ± 1.59％,29.88％ ± 1.37％,respectively) than in the control group (3.80％ ± 0.13％,all P ＜ 0.001).After 24-hour treatment with 5 and 10 nmol/L camptothecin,the protein expression of LC3 Ⅱ was significantly up-regulated,while p62 protein expression was significantly down-regulated:IFA showed that the percentage of autophagosome-positive cells was significantly higher in the 10-nmol/L camptothecin group than in the control group after 24-hour treatment (36.67％ ± 4.55％ vs.6.23％ ± 0.92％,t =6.546,P =0.003).Conclusions Camptothecin at low concentrations of 5 and 10 nmol/L can induce autophagy of HaCaT cells,but has no obvious effects on cell proliferation and apoptosis.Camptothecin at concentrations of 50,100 and 200 nmol/L can inhibit cell proliferation,promote cell apoptosis,and decrease autophagy levels.

OBJECTIVE：To establish UPLC fin gerprint of 32 compatible herb pairs with Polygonum multiflorum as the core ， and to conduct multivariate statistical analysis. METHODS ：UPLC method was adopted. Using P. multiflorum and single decoction pieces of compatible herb as reference ，UPLC fingerprints of 32 compatible herb pairs of P. multiflorum were drawn. Common peaks were confirmed by relative retention time and UV absorption spectrum. Non-supervised PCA and supervised OPLS-DA were conducted by using SPSS 19.0 software and SIMCA 13.0 software. RESULTS ：There were totally 12 common peaks in UPLC fingerprints of 32 compatible herb pairs of P. multiflorum . The results of non-supervised PCA showed that the accumulative variance contribution rate of primary 6 principal components was 84.633％. The results of cluster analysis of PCA comprehensive score showed that single decoction piece of P. multiflorum ，compatible herb pairs of P. multiflorum with Lycium barbarum ，Rehmannia glutinosa，Paeonia lactiflora ，Codonopsis pilosula ，Eclipta prostrate ，Angelica sinensis ，Glycyrrhiza uralensis ，Astragalus membranaceus and Ophiopogon japonicus were clustered into one category ；others were clustered into one category. Results of supervised OPLS-DA analysis showed that eigen values of 4 principal components were 2.32，2.61，1.58 and 0.90，respectively. There were differences in the contents of 12 common components in the compatibility of P. multiflorum with tonic medicine and non-tonic medicine. The changes of the content of the components after compatibility with tonic medicine were similar. Common peak 7，4，6，3 were main reasons for the differences （variable importance projection value were all higher than 1）. CONCLUSIONS：Established fingerprint is simple in operation ，and can be combined with multivariate statistical analysis to evaluate the content changes of common components of 32 compatible herb pairs with P. multiflorum as the core.

Objective To explore the value of plaque-to-aorta CT value ratio(standardized CT value)in differentiating coronary lipid and fibrous plaques,and to preliminarily analyze the stability of the cutoff.Methods Patients who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography(CCTA)and intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)within 1 week were included.The plaque CT value was obtained by measuring the all,four and two short-axis planes,respectively.The CT value of the ascending aorta was measured and standardized(plaque-to-aorta CT value ratio).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves of the standardized and the traditional CT values were drawn.Results A total of 60 patients with 74 plaques were included,35 lipid and 39 fibrous plaques were diagnosed by IVUS.The aorta CT value was significantly correlated with the plaque(r=0.420,P<0.01);the cutoffs for the CT value of all,four and two plaque slices were 55 HU,48 HU and 52 HU,respectively,and all there of the cutoffs of standardized CT value were 0.149;the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value(PPV)and negative predictive value(NPV)of four-slice traditional and standardized CT values to differentiate lipid and fibrous plaques were 69%,87%,83%,76%and 91%,82%,82%,91%,respectively.Conclusion Compared with traditional CT value,the standardized CT value can greatly improve the sensitivity and NPV in differentiating coronary lipid and fibrous plaques,while maintaining modest to high specificity and PPV.Furthermore,the cutoff is stable.

Objective To analyze the transcriptome data of Zika virus(ZIKV)-infected human neuroblastoma cells SH-SY5Y by bioinformatics method,and to identify the potential genes involved in the pathogenic mechanism of ZIKV.Methods SH-SY5Y cells were infected with ZIKV.The total RNA was extracted and the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened by transcriptome sequencing.Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analyses were performed to predict the biological processes,molecular functions,and signaling pathways mainly involved in the DEGs,and the results were verified by quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR).Results A total of 259 DEGs were identified,including 172 up-regulated genes and 87 down-regulated genes.GO functional enrichment analysis showed that the DEGs were mainly related to extracellular matrix,response to stimulus,antimicrobial humoral response,and developmental process.KEGG pathway enrichment analysis revealed that the DEGs were predominantly associated to inflammatory reaction and immune response.The qPCR validation results of DEGs were basically consistent with the transcriptome sequencing results.Conclusion The expression of genes involved in extracellular matrix,response to stimulus,and regulation of inflammatory reaction is significantly altered in SH-SY5Y cells after ZIKV infection,suggesting that ZIKV may cause neurological lesions by remodeling the extracellular matrix and regulating inflammatory reaction.

Background and purpose:Esophageal carcinoma(ESCA)is one of the malignant tumors with high mortality rate,and the underlying mechanism of its development is largely unknown.CDC20 plays an important role in tumorigenesis,and its dysregulated expression is closely related to tumor occurrence and development.The expression of CDC20 is increased in a variety of tumors,and knocking down CDC20 can inhibit tumor cell proliferation.NLRP3 is the main component of the inflammasome,and inflammasome is also closely related to tumor occurrence and development.Here,our study aimed to investigate whether CDC20 promotes the proliferation of ESCA cells through NLRP3 and its regulatory mechanism.Methods:The expression levels of CDC20 and NLRP3 genes in ESCA patients were analyzed using The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)detabase and GTEx public database.We collected clinical and pathological data and tissues from 80 ESCA patients at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College,and detected the protein expression of NLRP3 in ESCA patients through immunohistochemistry staining.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College(Number:EC-021-137).We studied the effects of knocking down CDC20 and NLRP3 gene on the proliferation ability of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells EC9706 and KYSE150 using short hairpin RNA(shRNA)technology.Co-immunoprecipitation(Co-IP),proteasome inhibitors and ubiquitination experiments were used to detect whether CDC20 interacts with NLRP3,and to elucidate whether CDC20 regulates NLRP3 expression through the ubiquitination pathway.This study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College(Number:EC-021-137).Results:The TCGA database analysis showed that the expression levels of CDC20 and NLRP3 mRNA were significantly higher in the cancer tissues of ESCA patients than in the adjacent tissues.The immunohistochemistry results further showed that compared with adjacent tissues,the protein expression levels of CDC20 and NLRP3 were increased in ESCA tissues.Knocking down CDC20 and NLRP3 genes inhibited the proliferation of ESCA cells.Co-IP,proteasome inhibitors and ubiquitination experiments confirmed that CDC20 interacted with NLRP3 through its leucine-rich repeat(LRR),and CDC20 stabilized its expression by promoting NLRP3 ubiquitination.Conclusion:CDC20 and NLRP3 are upregulated in ESCA tissues,and CDC20 stabilizes their expression through ubiquitination of NLRP3,promoting ESCA cell proliferation.This suggests that CDC20 and NLRP3 may be potential diagnostic targets for ESCA.

Objective:To investigate the characteristics of allergen component in dust mite（DM） -induced allergic rhinitis（AR） patients, and provide reference for the diagnosis and treatment of AR. Methods:DM-induced AR patients with or without allergic asthma（AA） who visited the Allergy Department of Tongji Hospital, Huazhong University of Science and Technology between 2021 and 2022 were enrolled. Patients'age, gender, and visual analog scale（VAS） for symptoms were recorded. sIgE and sIgG4 levels of allergen components such as Der f1, Der f2, Der p1, Der p2, Der p7, Der p10, Der p21, and Der p23 were detected using a protein chip method. The sensitization characteristics of the allergen components in the patients were observed, and the correlation between sIgE, sIgG of each component and VAS as well as the component differences between AR and AR with AA（AR&AA） were evaluated. Results:A total of 87 DM-induced AR patients were enrolled, with 42.5% of them were AR&AA, their VAS scores were significantly higher than those of AR patients（6.38±1.95 vs 5.25±1.85, P=0.009 8）. The order of sensitization rates for DM components was as follows: Der p2（82.8%）, Der f2（81.6%）, Der p1（74.7%）, Der f1（70.1%）, and Der p23（35.6%）. The order of positive rates for sIgG4 was: Der p2（21.8%）, Der f2（13.8%）, Der p21（8.0%）, and Der p7（6.9%）. There were no correlation between the sIgE, sIgG4 levels or positive numbers of components and VAS scores, but there were positive correlations between sIgE, sIgG4 concentrations of components. Compared with AR patients, AR&AA patients had higher levels of sIgE for Der p（60.5[7.2-91.1]vs 14.0[4.8-45.1], P=0.02）, Der f（49.8[15.7-81.6]vs 21.3[7.0-50.2], P=0.04）, Der p1（27.2[0.7-51.5]vs 2.6[0.2-24.9], P=0.02）, Der p2（20.0[1.4-60.6]vs 5.5[0.6-19.1], P=0.004）, and Der f2（58.9[16.0-89.2]vs 23.4[0.9-56.8], P=0.009）, and a higher proportion of AR with AA patients had sIgE levels of Der p1（70.3% vs 48.0%, P=0.038） and Der p23（27.0% vs 14.0%, P=0.039） that were ≥3 grades. Conclusion:Der p1/f1, Der p2/f3, and Der p23 are the major components of DM sensitized AR patients. Multiple component sensitization and sIgE, sIgG4 levels of each component are not correlated with the severity of AR. The sIgE levels of the Der p1/f1, Der p2/f3, and Der p23 components in AR&AA patients are higher than AR.
