1.Advance in Nutrition Metabolism of Patients with Spinal Cord Injury (review)
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2016;22(12):1408-1411
Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a common traumatic disease. SCI causes nutritional and metabolic abnormalities including malnu-trition and overnutrition. This article reviewed nutritional metabolism assessments, the changes and reasons after SCI. Spinal Nutrition Screening Tool (SNST) and Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) are commonly used to evaluate malnutrition in adult. Screening Tool for the Assessment of Malnutrition in Paediatrics (STAMP) is used to evaluate malnutrition in child. Body mass index, waist circumfer-ence and dual-energy X-ray are used to evaluate overnutrition. SCI causes increasement of total caloric intake, disturbance of carbohydrate metabolism, disturbance of fat and protein metabolism, increasement of metabolic syndrome incidence, high risk of coronary heart disease, and abnormal bone metabolism. Individual diet program should be provided to SCI patients for balanced nutrition. Periodic assessments are also necessary.
2.The research progress of rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder in Parkinson's disease
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2016;(2):183-187
Present data achieving from collecting showed it should be pay attention to the intimate connection between rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder( RBD) and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’ s disease( PD) ,there is a scholar who has announced that RBD is the mark of alpha-synucle-in,and the PD patients who also have the RBD may appear some certain clinical features. To integrate exist-ing data and analyze the research progress of Parkinson's disease with REM sleep behavior disorder,it’ s ex-tremely close between PD and RBD,however, their exact mechanism and the accurate relationship remains to be further defined so that we can correspond treatment such as nerve protection as soon as possible,to help delay occurrence or progress about disease.

OBJECTIVETo detect plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) in acute Kawasaki disease (KD) and analyze the relationship between NT-proBNP and other bio-markers in order to evaluate if NT-proBNP could be as a useful diagnostic marker to predict the risk of coronary arterial lesions in acute KD.
METHODTotally 106 patients with KD were recruited from January 2012 to April 2014 at Department of Pediatrics of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology,64 were boys and 42 were girls, their age ranged from 2 months to 8 years and 4 months. Of the 106 cases, 48 had typical KD(TKD) and 58 incomplete KD(IKD). They were divided into two groups according to echocardiography results: coronary arterial lesions (KD-CAL, n = 33) and non coronary arterial lesions (KD-nCAL, n = 73). Forty children whose age and gender matched with respiratory tract infection were selected as control group, 22 were boys and 18 were girls, age range from 7 months to 7 years and 11 months. Plasma NT-proBNP levels were measured by using the enzyme-linked fluorescence analysis (ELFA) at the day of admission, meanwhile blood routine tests, liver function tests, determination of C-reactive protein (CEP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), electrolytes were performed in these patients. Pearson's correlation analysis was used to evaluate the association. The ROC curve analysis was done to identify the threshold of coronary 'arterial lesions.
RESULTThe levels of NT-proBNP were (1 037 271) ng/L in TKD group and (1,325 ± 264) ng/L in IKD group. The levels of NT-proBNP in control group was (125 ± 22) ng/L. Both the levels of NT-proBNP in TKD and IKD group were significantly higher than that of control group (t = 3.360, 3.590; P < 0.05). The level of NT-proBNP in KD-CAL group was (2,775 ± 842) ng/L and that of KD-nCAL group was (830 ± 145) ng/L, NT-proBNP levels of KD-nCAL group was significantly higher than that of control group (t = 3.660, P = 0.007) ; moreover the level of NT-proBNP of KD-CAL group was also significantly higher than that of KD-nCAL group ( t = 3.860, P = 0.005). The levels of total white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage, platelet count, CRP and ESR of KD-CAL group were significantly higher than those of the control group, however there was no significant difference between KD-CAL group and KD-nCAL group. The levels of albumin and Na of KD-nCAL group were significantly lower than those of the control group. Plasma NT-proBNP level in KD group was positively correlated with white blood cell count, neutrophil percentage, and CRP (r = 0.239, P = 0.025; r = 0.359, P = 0.001; r = 0.474, P = 0.001), there was a negative correlation between albumin and Na (r = -0.303, P = 0.015; r = -0.338, P = 0.002). When the level of NT-proBNP was higher than 950 ng/L, the sensitivity for diagnosis of coronary arterial lesions in the KD was 88.1% and the specificity was 89.0%.
CONCLUSIONThe plasma NT-proBNP can be used as a useful parameter in early diagnosis of KD. Plasma NT-proBNP could be used to predict the risk of coronary arterial lesions in KD.

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(22):1803-1804
Twenty days after the operation of anterior cervical decompression fusion with internal fixation, the fistula was found at the lower end of right neck incision with purulent secretion, the intumescent mucosa was founded at the posterior wall of the esophagus, down about 5 cm of the oesophagostomum. The metal plate sample exposed under the intumescent mucosa. The diagnosed was "neck esophageal fistula".

Chinese Journal of Ultrasonography 2012;21(4):308-311
Objective To investigate the ultrasonographic performance of infantile hepatic hemangioendothelioma(IHHE).Methods Clinical and ultrasonographic findings in 14 cases with IHHE were reviewed retrospectively, and compared with CT and MR.Results Among 14 cases, there were 6 cases with single mass,5 cases with multiple masses and 3 cases with diffuse masses.Ultrasonography displayed single mass and multiple masses with clear boundary, heterogeneous inner echo, calcification was detected in 4 cases and anechoic areas were detected in 6 cases.Diffuse masses were small,ill-defined,the echogenicity of the whole liver was extremely disorder. The hepatic artery and the proximal abdominal aortic dilatation was found in 4 cases, and the abdominal aorta which below the coeliac artery became relatively thinner in these cases.Color Doppler showed rich blood supply and intratumoral vasodilation in 8 cases,PW detection of intratumoral arteriovenous fistula in 4 cases. Conclusions Ultrasonography findings of IHHE have some characteristic feature.

Objective To explore the caring ability and demands of the primary caregivers of stroke patients in community. Methods Seventeen patients of stroke in community participated in the semi-structure interviews. Data were analyzed by Colaizzi phenomenological procedure. Results The lack of ability of the primary caregivers to take care of, mainly reflected inthe lack of professional knowledge of the disease, lack of basic skills and medication blindness. The factors that affected the ability of the primary caregiversto take care ofwere health status and psychological status of the caregivers, duration of illness of patients, coordination degree of patients and financial burden. The caring demands of the caregivers mainly focused on the following areas: professional medical support, economic support, daily care service, and spiritual support services. Conclusions The government and community health service centers should pay more attention tothe rehabilitation of stroke patients in community, and help them to solvepractical problemsactively, meet the care needs, and improve their self-care ability, so as to improve the ability of daily life and quality of life of patients.
