1.Diagnostic value of prenatal ultrasound detection for fetal ductus arteriosus narrow

Objective To investigate the clinical value and characteristics of color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of fetal ductus arteriosus narrow.Methods 22 pregnant women were screened by ultrasound in the hospital (the disease group),In the same period,50 cases of fetus in pregnant women were selected as control group,The arterial catheter inside diameter,systolic and diastolic velocity flow were compared,and different facets of the ductus arteriosus in ultrasonography were observed.Results The ductus arteriosus diameter of disease group gestational age (28-36 weeks) and gestational age (> 36 weeks) were (2.25 ± 0.68) mm and (4.29 ± 0.14) mm,which were significantly lower than those in the control group(t =3.01,2.98,all P < 0.05).The systolic flow rate of disease group gestational age (28-36 weeks) was (0.39 ± 0.20) m/s,which was significantly higher than (0.32 ± 0.31) m/s in the control group (t =2.96,P < 0.05).The systolic and diastolic flow velocity of disease group gestational age (> 36 weeks) were (0.42 ± 0.17) m/s,and (0.24 ± 0.08) m/s,which were significantly higher than those of the control group (t =2.91,3.04,all P < 0.05).The color Doppler ultrasound of fetal ductus arteriosus narrow showed arterial catheter lumen thinner,blood flow velocity was significantly faster,including five cases of arterial stenosis showed right atrium,right ventricle; 3 cases showed the right atrium and right ventricle increased,with severe tricuspid regurgitation.Conclusion Color Doppler ultrasound can identify fetal ductus arteriosus braid and can objectively and comprehensively assess it.It has important diagnostic value for fetal ductus arteriosus stenosis.
2.The diagnosis comparative analysis for patients with FLLDH by CT and MRI

Objective To investigate and analyze the diagnostic imaging features of patients with far lateral lumbar disc herniation (FLLDH) by CT and MRI.Methods 38 patients with FLLDH were diagnosed,and its radiology imaging diagnosis and clinical characteristics were analyzed.The main positive results of intervertebral disc herniation segment by CT and MRI scanning and its imaging features were observed.Results The positive of CT scans was 94.74% (36/38),MRI scans was 100% (38/38),the difference was not statistically significant (x2 =2.89,P >0.05) ;disc segments were mainly in L3-4 and L4-5 segments respectively,MRI scans were 34.21% (13/38) and 39.47% (15/38),CT scans were 3 1.58% (12/38) and 39.47% (15/38) ;22 cases with hummocky,8 cases with semicircular,irregular triangular shape and 3 cases respectively ;4 cases with foramen medial,18 cases with lateral foramen,14 cases of mixed type;prominence of < 3 mm was 13 cases,20 cases with 4 to 7 mm,8 cases with more than 7mm.Conclusion CT and MRI examination can accurately diagnose FLLDH and judge its location,extent and clinical timely treatment has important clinical application value.
3.Poly DL-lactic bio-absorbable screw fixations for Pipkin fractures: A mid- or long-term follow-up in 13 cases

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate therapeutic effect and safety of poly DL-lactic bio-absorbable screws in the treatment of Pipkin fractures.METHODS: A total of 13 Patients of Pipkin fractures received treatment at the Department of Orthopaedics, Third People's Hospital of Wujiang City and Department of Orthopaedics, First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from March 2003 to October 2007 were selected, including 10 males and 3 females, mean aged 30.5 years. Six of them had a Pipkin type Ⅰ fracture,4 had a Pipkin type Ⅱ fracture, and 3 patients had a Pipkin type Ⅳ fracture. In all the operative procedures, a dorsolateral Kocher-Langenbeck approach was used.RESULTS: After an average duration of 47.9 months follow-up, all fractures achieved complete bony healing. One patient had femoral head avascular necrosis and 1 had persistent hip pain, but no heterotopic ossification was observed. According to Harris hip score: Pipkin type I 85 points, type Ⅱ 90 points and type Ⅳ 77 points. According to the Thompson-Epstein hip scale, 3 patients were rated as excellent, 8 good, 1 fair, and 1 poor; the excellent and good rate was 84.6%.CONCLUSION: Poly DL-lactic bio-absorbable screw fixations are safe and effective in treating Pipkin fractures.
4.Ferroptosis in bone diseases:therapeutic targets of osteoporosis

BACKGROUND:With the aging of the global population,the incidence rate of osteoporosis is also increasing.It is very important to further understand its pathogenesis and propose new therapeutic targets.Recent studies have shown that ferroptosis is closely related to the pathogenesis of some bone diseases,such as inflammatory arthritis,osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. OBJECTIVE:To summarize the previous studies on the mechanism of ferroptosis in osteoporosis,so as to provide new therapeutic ideas and potential therapeutic targets for osteoporosis. METHODS:The first author used the computer to search the documents published from 2000 to 2022 in CNKI,WanFang,VIP,PubMed and Web of Science with the key words of"ferroptosis,osteoporosis,osteoblasts,osteoclasts,iron chelators,reactive oxygen species,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,heme oxygenase-1,glutathione peroxidase 4,review"in Chinese and English.A total of 70 articles were finally included according to the inclusion criteria. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Ferroptosis is significantly different from necrosis,apoptosis and autophagy.In terms of cell morphology and function,it does not have the morphological characteristics of typical necrosis,nor does it have the characteristics of traditional apoptosis,such as cell contraction,chromatin condensation,the formation of apoptotic bodies and the disintegration of cytoskeleton.Contrary to autophagy,ferroptosis does not form a classical closed bilayer membrane structure(autophagic vacuole).Morphologically,ferroptosis is mainly manifested by obvious contraction of mitochondria,increased membrane density,and reduction or disappearance of mitochondrial cristae,which are different from other cell death modes.Iron overload can destroy bone homeostasis by significantly inhibiting osteogenic differentiation and stimulating osteoclast formation,leading to osteoporosis.Iron overload interferes with the differentiation of stem cells to osteoblasts,leading to a weakened osteoblast function and further imbalance of bone metabolism in the body,which eventually leads to osteoporosis.Stimulated by iron overload,osteoclast bone resorption is enhanced and bone loss exceeds new bone formation.Iron chelators have been proved to have osteoprotective effects by inhibiting osteoclast activity and stimulating osteogenic differentiation of osteoblasts.Its potential mechanism is related to inhibiting osteoclast differentiation and promoting osteoblast differentiation.Antioxidants can prevent reactive oxygen species production and inhibit bone absorption,thus improving bone metabolism and effectively preventing osteoporosis.
