Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2017;41(9):765-767
[Objective]This paper mainly introduced Professor YE Jin 's experience in treating girls with precocious puberty from liver syndrome differentiation and characteristics of prescription medication.[Methods] On account of three main symptoms of girls with precocious puberty at first visit, including thelarche, leukorrhea and menses, we explore the relation between liver and the causes of this disease from the viscera-state doctrine as well as the meridian theory. Then introduce Professor YE Jin's methods and empirical medication in treating girls with precocious puberty based on liver. In order to analyse her experience, a clinical case was reported. [Results]Professor YE holds that the pathogenesis of girl 's precociouss puberty closely related to liver. The deficiency of liver-yin and kidney-yin is the basic pathogenesis of precocious puberty, which is often accompanied with liver qi depression or even liver qi depression transforming into fire. On the basis of nourishing yin and purging fire, Professor YE emphasizes treating precocious puberty from liver. In practical terms, flexibly applying the ideas of softening, soothing and clearing liver can effectively improve the clinical symptoms. She makes the selection and compatibility of Chinese medicine comforming to the characteristics of children 's physiology and pathology and values the protection of vital energy. The reported case specifically demonstrates treating a girl 's thelarche from liver syndrome differentiation as well as the empiric therapy. [Conclusion]Professor YE Jin's experience in treating girls with precocious puberty is well worth learning for its significant curative effect.

Objectives: To evaluate the effect of TPN plus argine on nutrition status, immune function and postoperative complications in radical treatment of gastro intestinal cancer patients. Methods: 88 cases undertaking radical treatment were randomized into TPN group (normal group)(30 cases), argine group (plus argine)(30 cases) and control group (28 cases). Since POD+1, the former two groups were given intravenous nutrition support continuously for 7 days and argine 80~100ml/day in argine group.Controlled group was given glucose, amino acid solution and electrolytes first, then transited to normal oral food intake. On AOD-1 and POD+8, albumin, pre albumin, transferrin and immune parameters were analyzed; postoperative complications were observed as well. Results: On POD+8, pre albumin and transferrin were improved in normal and argine group. In argine group, IgG?IgE?CD3?CD4?CD4/CD8?NKC activity and IL 2 concentration were obviously higher than that in other two groups( P

Objective:To investigate the potential prognostic value of cyclin D1 expression in patients with locally advanced oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and its relationship with taxol (Docetaxel)/cisplatin plus 5-fluorouracil (TPF) induction chemothera-py. Methods:A total of 256 patients with locally advanced OSCC were selected from Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital of Shanghai Ji-ao Tong University School of Medicine between March 2008 and December 2010 as the objects of study in this prospective randomized clinical trial. The effect of TPF induction chemotherapy was investigated. Immunohistochemical staining against cyclin D1 was per-formed in the pretreatment biopsy specimen of the patients. The relationship between cyclin D1 expression and prognostic data of the TPF induction arm and control arm was analyzed. Results:Cyclin D1 expression was detected in 232 out of the 256 patients. Patients with low cyclin D1 expression showed significantly better overall survival (OS) (P=0.001), disease-free survival (DFS) (P=0.003), lo-coregional recurrence-free survival (LRFS) (P=0.004), and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) (P=0.001) than those with high cy-clin D1 expression. No significant differences existed in OS, DFS, LRFS, or DMFS between the patients with TPF induction chemother-apy and the control. Cyclin D1 expression levels were not predictive of the benefit from TPF induction chemotherapy in the overall pop-ulation. However, patients with nodal stage cN2 and high cyclin D1 expression, who were undergoing TPF chemotherapeutic regimen, showed significantly higher OS (P=0.024) and DMFS (P=0.024) than cN2 patients with high cyclin D1 expression but undergoing stan-dard surgical treatment. Conclusion:Cyclin D1 can be used as a prognostic biomarker for patients with locally advanced OSCC. Fur-thermore, cN2 OSCC patients with high cyclin D1 expression can receive long-term benefit from the addition of TPF induction chemo-therapy to standard surgical treatment.

The ultrasound endoscopic probes with very small size transducers are normally imaging by focused ultrasound beamforming technology. So the imaging frame rate is not very high, which cannot meet the needs of some clinical applications based on high imaging rate. In recent years, plane-wave ultrafast imaging technology can obtain high image frame rate and guarantee the image quality. In this paper, a plane wave ultra-fast imaging technique based on a home-made small line array ultrasound transducer is presented. Feasibility of the method is verified by simulation estimations and phantom experiments. The results show that for the small size transducer design of plane wave ultrafast imaging, it is necessary to fully consider the combination of the array element width and the number of array elements. So that a good plane wave imaging quality can be obtained. It lays a foundation for the ultra-fast imaging of plane wave in the interventional ultrasound imaging and ultrasound endoscopy.
