1.Perioperative nursing of a patient with neuroacanthocytosis

This paper reports the perioperative care of a patient undergoing the bilateral posterior ventral globus pallidus deep brain stimulation treatment for neuroacanthocytosis. The nursing points mainly included psychological care of the patient before surgery,preoperative preparation,postoperative care and special nursing before and after deep brain stimulation opening. The patient's dance-like involuntary movements and compulsive behavior reduced significantly after the treatment with no complications.
2.Application of Deluxe-PS and PFC Sigma RP prostheses in knee joint replacement

BACKGROUND:During artificial knee replacement for al kinds of severe knee disease or conservative treatment for end-stage knee disease, Deluxe-PS knee prosthesis and PFC Sigma RP knee prosthesis have their advantages.
OBJECTIVE: To compare and analyze the matching of the Deluxe-PS and PFC Sigma RP knee prostheses with bone cross section.
METHODS:According to the use of the knee prosthesis, 87 gonarthritis patients undergoing bilateral knee replacement were divided into two groups. 46 cases in the test group received Deluxe-PS knee prosthesis replacement. 41 cases in the control group received PFC Sigma RP knee prosthesis replacement. Operation time and intraoperative blood loss were compared between the two groups. American Knee Society score, knee score of American Special Surgical Hospital and knee joint range of motion were used to evaluate knee joint function before replacement, 3 months after replacement and during final folow-up. Anteroposterior X-ray films were obtained after replacement to measure valgus angle and flexion angle of femoral prosthesis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) Operation time and intraoperative blood loss were significantly better in the test group than in the control group (P< 0.05). (2) No significant difference in American Knee Society score, knee score of American Special Surgical Hospital and knee joint motion was detected between the two groups before replacement and 3 months after replacement (P > 0.05). Above indexes were significantly improved in both groups at 3 months after replacement and during final follow-up (P < 0.05). (3) No significant difference in valgus angle and flexion angle of femoral prosthesis was identified between test and control groups during final follow-up (P > 0.05). (4) These findings indicate that effect of Deluxe-PS type artificial knee prosthesis was identical to that of PFC Sigma RP knee prosthesis in knee osteoarthritis patients receiving bilateral knee joint replacement. Deluxe-PS type artificial knee prosthesis can perfectly realize high-accuracy combination of the prosthesis and the bone cross section, and enhance the fusion suitability of the prosthesis and the bone surface. Deluxe-PS type artificial knee prosthesis has the advantage of operation. This advantage is possibly because Deluxe-PS type artificial knee prosthesis is more in line with the anatomical structure of the knee joint of Chinese.
3.Anterior minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis for treatment of middle humeral shaft fracture

Objective To evaluate the effect of anterior minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO) for treatment of middle humeral shaft fracture.Methods From November 2011 to March 2014,10 cases of middle humeral shaft fracture were treated using MIPO via the anterior approach (MIPO group).Another 26 cases treated by open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of the middle humeral shaft fracture between October 2010 and March 2014 were included as controls (ORIF group).Fracture fixation using the 4.5 mm locking compression plate (LCP) was performed in both groups.Parameter measurements included operative time,intraoperative fluoroscopy times,grafting rate,intraoperative blood loss,postoperative drainage,hospital stay,bone healing time and complications.Results MIPO and ORIF groups differed significantly with respect to intraoperative blood loss [(93.5 ± 25.6) ml vs (325.3 ± 158.3) ml],intraoperative fluoroscopy times [(13.2 ± 6.1) vs 4.0 (0-6.0)] and hospitalization [(11.9 ± 1.7)days vs (18.0 ±4.7)days] (P <0.05).Bone grafting and drainage were not performed in MIPO group,while bone grafting rate was 54% and postoperative drainage volume was (120.4 ± 69.6) ml in ORIF group (P <0.05).MIPO and ORIF groups were comparable with respect to operative time [(79.0 ± 22.0) min vs (97.5 ± 30.8) min],bone healing time [(15.2 ± 2.5) weeks vs (18.2 ± 4.8)weeks] and postoperative complications (10% vs23%) (P>0.05).Conclusion Anterior MIPO is an effective procedure for treatment of middle humeral shaft fracture,with advantages of small trauma,less bleeding,low risk of nerve injury and high rate of fracture healing.
4.Epidemiology and risk factors of hypertension in 35 to 70 years old adults living in Xicheng District of Beijing

This investigation was to assess the prevalence and risk factors of hypertension in 35 to 70 years old adults living in Xicheng District of Beijing. Cluster sampling was conducted in 2230 adults, and only 1958 individuals agreed to enter into the study. Written informed consents were obtained before questionnaire and physical examination. A total of 1889 data were used for analysis. The prevalence rate of hypertension was 47.8% (n=902). The age-standardized prevalence rate was 40. 1%. Hypertension was seen in 368 men (53.0%) and 534 women (44.7%) (P=0.0005). The rates of disease awareness, treatment, and control were 47.5%, 38.5%, and 24.1%, respectively. The prevalence of hypertension increased with age (P<0.0001). Linear trend was found between body mass index (BMI) and systolic blood pressure (P<0.0001). In multiple logistic model analysis, the hypertension risk for men was 1.33 times that of women (95% CI, 1.08-1.64), for participants with obesity was 2.81 times that of those with normal weight (95%CI, 2.00-3.97). Hypertension has become one of the most concerned public health problems in the district. Middle-aged people should pay attention to changed blood pressure, especial for overweight men. Health promotion should be needed for hypertension prevention. More attention should be paid to substantial increase in hypertension.
5.Reliability and validity of the Chinese version of tolerance for mental pain scale for college students

Objective:To examine the reliability and validity of tolerance of mental pain scale (TMPS-10) in college students.Methods:A total of 2 171 college students were recruited in this study from November to December 2021.Sample 1( n=1 085) was tested for item analysis and exploratory factor analysis from November to December 2021.Sample 2 ( n=1 086) was tested for confirmatory factor analysis, convergence validity, and criterion validity analysis.Ninety-nine cases were randomly selected from sample 2 for retest intraclass correlation efficient (ICC) 30 days later.The questionnaire of suicide attitude (QSA), Beck depression inventory version 2 (BDI-Ⅱ), self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), and Chinese perceived stress scale (CPSS) were used to examine criterion validity of TMPS-10.The SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 21.0 softwares were used for statistical analysis. Results:The exploratory factor analysis extracted two common factors, which explained 72.33% of the total variance contribution rate.The confirmatory factor analysis showed a good model fit ( χ2/ df=7.85, AGFI=0.92, GFI=0.95, TLI=0.96, CFI=0.97, IFI=0.97, RMSEA=0.08). The combined reliability (CR) of the Chinese version of TMPS-10 and its two factors were 0.96, 0.93 and 0.89, and the average variances extracted (AVE) were 0.72, 0.73 and 0.63.The total score of TMPS-10 was positively correlated with the two dimensions of QSA (knowledge of the nature of suicide behavior and attitude to euthanasia) ( r=0.40, 0.09, both P<0.01), while was negatively correlated with the other two dimensions of QSA (attitude to suicide and attitude to suicide family members), and the total scores of BDI-Ⅱ, SAS, and CPSS ( r=-0.30, -0.34, -0.30, -0.45, -0.46, all P<0.01). The Cronbach α coefficients of the Chinese version of TMPS-10 and its two factors were 0.82, 0.89 and 0.93, and the spilt-half reliabilities were 0.85, 0.89 and 0.89.The ICC of the Chinese version of TMPS-10 and its two factors after 30 days were 0.77, 0.87 and 0.86. Conclusion:The Chinese version of TMPS-10 has good reliability and validity among college students, and it can effectively evaluate students' endurance of psychological pain.
6.Biomechanical Analysis on Locking Compression Plate for Fixing Periprosthetic Proximal Femur Fracture

Objective To evaluate biomechanical strength of locking compression plate (LCP) for fixation of periprosthetic proximal femur fractures (PPFF). Methods Eight matched pairs of Vancouver type B1 adult cadaveric PPFF specimens were fixed with the LCP and the inverted distal femoral less invasive stabilization system (LISS), respectively. Four bicortical locking screws (LCP group) and four unicortical locking screws were used to the length of prosthesis stem, and four double cortical locking screws were used to fix the distal end of the fracture in two groups, the distance from the locking screws to the fracture were also equal. The maximum bending load, maximum bending displacement, bending stiffness, maximum torque, maximum torsional angle and torsional stiffness of two groups in four-point bending test and torsion test were compared and analyzed. Results The maximum bending load, maximum bending displacement and bending stiffness of LCP group were all larger than those of LISS group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The maximum torque, maximum torsional angle and torsional stiffness of LCP group were obviously larger than those of LISS group,and there was a statistical difference between two groups (P<0.05). Conclusions The stiffness of anti-torsion with LCP is significantly better than that with LISS. Consequently, LCP has better biomechanical stability for PPFF.
