OBJECTIVE:To observe the clinical efficacy of oral traditional Chinese medicine concomitant with artificial liver in the treatment of severe type hepatitis.METHODS:A total of176patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group:the control group was treated with conventional internal medicine therapy together with artificial liver,while the treatment group was treated with additional traditional Chinese medicine besides the therapy for the control group.And the course of treatment was2weeks.RESULTS:The cure rates for the treatment group and the control group were45.5%and20.5%,respectively(P

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of super selective embolization combined with opera-tion for treatment of meningiomas.Methods 82 cases treated by operation and pathology in return for meningioma were collected in the study,including 44 cases of preoperative superselective embolization for aneurysms as the treat-ment group,and the remaining 38 cases without preoperative embolization of patients as the control group.The opera-tion time,bleeding amount in the operation and the rate of total tumor removal were recorded and compared between the two groups.Results The average amount of bleeding of treatment group was (330.36 ±95.41)mL.The average amount of bleeding of control group was (460.82 ±114.64)mL.The data of the two groups was statistically significant (t =5.624,P <0.01).,The treatment group bleeding amount was less than that of the control group;,the mean oper-ation time of treatment group was (5.36 ±2.62)h,,the average operation time of control group was (6.63 ±2.25)h.The data of the two groups was statistically significant (t =2.355,P =0.021 ),the operation time of the treatment group was less than that of the control group.The total resection rate was 70.4% in treatment group and 36.8% in the control group,there was statistically significant (P <0.05),and the total resection rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group.Conclusion Compared with single operation treatment of meningiomas superse-lective embolization combined with operation for treatment of meningiomas can shorten operation time,reduce intraoperative hemorrhage,improve the rate of total tumor removal.It can reduce the operation risk and improve the treatment effect.

Objective:To investigate the changes of Th cell differentiation in the VMC and interference effect of Qingxin capsule on them.Methods:BALB/c mouses with different courses of VMC were established, after treated with Qingxin capsule, the cardiac pathological changes were observed by light microscope and transmisson electron microscope,levels of IL-2,IL-4,IL-10 and IFN-? in blood serum were detected by ELISA.Results: Whatever in acute stage or recovery stage of VMC, the myocard pathological changes of mouses were lighter after treated with Qingxin capsule;moreover, levels of IFN-? and IL-2 in blood serum of mouses with VMC decreased significantly(P0.05).Conclusion:Qingxin capsule can restore the balance of Th1 and Th2 cells through inhibiting reaction of Th1 and enhancing reaction of Th2.

To understand the distribution and accumulation rules of polydatin, resveratrol, anthraglycoside B, emodin and physicion in different tissue structure of rhizome and root of Polygonum cospidatum, the content of 5 active compounds were analyzed simultaneously by HPLC, based on plant anatomy and histochemistry. The rhizome and root consist of different tissues, with an increased diameter, the proportions of the secondary xylem and phloem have increased. Resveratrol and polydatin mainly distributed in the pith, the secondary phloem and periderm of rhizome, and the secondary phloem and periderm of the root, while emodin and anthraglycoside B concentrated in the secondary structure and pith of rhizome mostly. In different thickness of the measured samples, the total contents of 5 compounds were correspondingly higher in thinner rhizome and root than those in the coarse ones.

Objective To detect the signal pathways through which IL-4 regulates expression of DC-SIGN in THP-1 cells.Methods We used phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(PMA) differentiated THP-1 cells as the in vitro model of monocyte/macrophage cells to study the signal pathways involved in IL-4 regulated expression of DC-SIGN.DC-SIGN mRNA expression was detected by RT-PCR.Cytoplasmic DC-SIGN protein was tested by Western blot.Flow cytometry was used to detect cell surface expression of DC-SIGN.Cytoplasm and nuclear protein of PMA stimulated THP-1 cells induced by IL-4 for 0,10,20,30,60 and 120 min was extracted and detected by Western blot for signal pathway signaling protein and phosphoprotein.Results We found that a high expression of DC-SIGN could be induced by IL-4 at the levels of mRNA and cell surface protein.Up-regulated expression of DC-SIGN was almost completely blocked by the specific inhibitor of ERK pathway,and partly reduced by the specific inhibitors of JAK-STAT and NF-κB pathways.The activation of the three signaling pathways was directly confirmed by testing the phosphorylation of protein kinase within the cytoplasm and nucleus over time.Conclusion Multiple signaling pathways are involved in IL-4 induced high expression of DC-SIGN on THP-1 cells,in which ERK pathway is the main signal pathway.

Baekground:Obstetric hemorrhage is a major cause of maternal death during cesarean delivery.The objective of this retrospective observational study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intra-operative cell salvage (IOCS) in cesarean section.Methods:We included a total of 361 patients diagnosed with central placenta previa who underwent cesarean section from May 2016 to December 2018.In this study,196 patients received autologous transfusion using IOCS (IOCS group) and 165 patients accepted allogeneic blood transfusion (ABT group).Propensity score matched analysis was performed to balance differences in the baseline variables between the IOCS group and ABT group.Patients in the IOCS group were matched 1:1 to patients in the ABT group.Results:After propensity score matching,137 pairs of cases between the two groups were successfully matched and no significant differences in baseline characteristics were found between the IOCS group and ABT group.Patients in the IOCS group were associated with significantly shorter length of hospital stay,compared with ABT group (8.9 ±4.1 days vs.10.3 ± 5.2 days,t=-2.506,P =0.013).The postoperative length of hospital stay was 5.3 ± 1.4 days for patients in the IOCS group and 6.6 ± 3.6 days for those in the ABT group (t =-4.056,P ＜ 0.001).The post-operative hemoglobin level in the IOCS group and ABT group was 101.3 ± 15.4 and 96.3 ± 16.6g/L,respectively,which were significantly different (t=2.615,P=0.009).Allogeneic red blood cell transfusion was significantly lower at 0 unit (range:0-11.5 units) in the IOCS group when compared with 2 units (range:1-20 units) in the ABT group (P ＜ 0.001).Condusions:This retrospective observational study using propensity score matched analysis suggested that IOCS was associated with shorter length of postoperative hospital stay and higher post-operative hemoglobin levels during cesarean delivery.

Objective To study the effects of internal exposure of 18F-FDG (18F-2-deoxy-2-fiuoroD-glucose) on the protein expressions of P53,XIAP (X-linked inhibitors of apoptosis protein) and GADD (growth arrest and DNA damage)45 in Lewis lung carcinoma,and to explore the possibility of applying 18F-FDG as a radiotherapy drug in vivo.Methods Lewis lung cancer transplanted tumor models were established via subcutaneous injection of 0.2 ml of 2 × 107/ml Lewis lung carcinoma cells at left hind limbs of 48 C57BL/6 mice that were randomly divided into high dose group,low dose group and control group with 16 mice each.After 7 d of cancer cell inoculation,18.5 × 107 Bq and 9.25 × 107 Bq of 18F-FDG in 0.2 ml saline or equal volume of physiological saline was intraperitoneally injected into three group mice,respectively.22 d post inoculation,the protein expressions of P53,XIAP and GADD45 were immuohistochemically detected by using SP approach.Results There was significant difference among the protein expressions in each group (x2 =8.30,16.02,7.68,P ＜0.05).The mean integral optic density of protein expression increased from 0.089 ± 0.033 in control group to 0.315 ± 0.028 in high dose group for P53,and from 0.126 ± 0.023 to 0.383 ±-0.035 for GADD45,but it decreased from 0.422 ± 0.034 to 0.149 ± 0.055 for XIAP.There was significantly difference of these protein expressions in each group (P53:F=5.26,P＜0.05;XIAP:F=4.29,P ＜0.05;GADD45:F=5.98,P ＜0.05).Conclusions 18F-FDG can up-regulate the expressions of P53 and GADD45 proteins and down-regulate the expression of XIAP protein in tumor cells,and it inhibits tumor growth by promoting cell apoptosis in the Lewis lung carcinoma tissue with a P53-dependent manner.

Objective To investigate the effects of ibutilide and amiodarone on the ventricular transmural heteroge-neity of repolarization and ventricular arrhythmia for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. Methods Eighty-seven patients with paroxymal atrial fibrillation at 48 h~7 d were enrolled and randomized to two groups, ibutilide and amiodarone treat-ment groups. The successful rate of cardioversion to sinus rhythm was compared between two groups. The electrocardiograph-ic QT interval and Tpeak-end/QT ratio were also analyzed before and after treatment in two groups. Results The successful rate of cardioversion was significantly higher in ibutilide group than that of amiodarone group (61.7%vs 40.7%, P＜0.05). The QT intervals and Tpeak-end/QT ratio were both significantly increased in ibutilide group (P＜0.05), which were re-turned to the levels before treatment in 2 hours and 1 hour, respectively (P＜0.05). The QT intervals were significantly in-creased in the amiodarone group (P＜0.01), which were continued until 4 h after treatment. There were no significant differ-ences in the Tpeak-end/QT ratios before and after treatment (P>0.05). Conclusion The successful rate of cardioversion to sinus rhythm for atrial fibrillation by ibutilide was significantly higher compared with that of amiodarone. Ibutilide slightly in-creased the transmural heterogeneity of repolarization within the first hour, which may increase the risk of ventricular arrhyth-mia.
