Objective: To explore the personality traits in the people at high risk for schizophrenia.Methods: 188 individuals at high risk for schizophrenia,and 321 normal controls were assessed by Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire(SPQ).Results: The score of negative schizotypal dimension in SPQ in the individuals at high risk was higher than in the normal controls.Conclusion: The people at high risk for schizophrenia have negative schizotypal personality traits which may represent a genetic endophenotype for schizophrnia.

ObjectiveTo investigate the expressions of folate receptor alpha (FOLR1) in 40 esophageal cancerous tissues and its relevance of ABO blood group.MethodsABO blood groups were analyzed in 40 patients.Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR detection were used to detect the expression of folate receptor in cancer and adjacent tissues.Results20％of esophageal cancer was suspected positive (+), 50％ of cancer adjacent tissue was suspected positive (+), 10％ were positive (+), the difference was statistically significant (x2 = 14.48, P ＜0.01).Real Time RT-PCR analysis showed FOLRI low expression in esophageal cancer and adjacent tissues, compared to normal esophageal mucosa, the differences were statistically significant (F1 =53.247, F2 = 116.500, P ＜0.01).ABO blood type and FOLRi in esophageal cancer patients were not significant correlated (P =0.647, P ＞0.05).ConclusionsFOLRI expression was decreased in the esophageal lesions compared with adjacent tissues.Detection of FOLRl expression level in esophageal cancerous tissues and the paired adjacent tissues was helpful for judging the extent of disease and guiding surgery treatment.The FOLRI expression level in esophageal carcinoma tissues had no relationship with ABO blood types.

Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of 64-row VCT coronary angiography(CTA) in diagnosing coronary artery disease.Methods 64-row VCT coronary angiography(CTA) and cathter coronary angiography(CAG) were performed in 173 patients with suspected coronary artery disease.All images were analysed at GE AW4.3 workstation,the constructed images included maximum intensity projection(MIP),mlti-planar reconstruction(MPR) and volume rendering(VR).The results were compared with that of CAG.Results 746 segments of coronary artery with diameter ＞1.5 mm were showed by CTA in 173 patients.The sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of the CTA in detecting coronary arterial stenosis were 94.15%(193/203),95.90% and 89.77% and 97.90% respectively.Statistical analysis using a 2-related χ~2 test showed that there were no obvious differences in diagnosing coronary arterial stenosis between CTA and CAG(χ~2=1.58,P＞0.05) and in evaluating the stenosis degree of coronary artery(Kappa=0.890,P＜0.001).Conclusion 64-row VCT has important clinical value in screening coronary arterial disease and in following-up post operational effectiveness of coronary stent implantation and vascular bypass.

Objective:To evaluate the reliability and validity of the adaptation OSSIQ in measuring the life quality of the populations with different types of subjective skin.Methods:A stratified samplings strategy was adopted to select 140 college students, workers, personnel of enterprises and institutions aged 18-60 years old.The reliability and validity of adaptation OSSIQ were evealuated using internal consistency validity, split half reliability, and construct validity.Results:The adaptation OSSIQ had a Cronbach's α efficient of 0.924 and 0.902.Split half reliability, the Spearman-Brown before and after skin care were 0.877 and the Guttman Split-Half coefficients were 0.876 and 0.874 respectively.Contentvalidity, the Item-scale correlation coefficients exceed 0.5 (P<0.001) before and after skin care.Satisfactory (100%) convergent validity and discriminant validity were found.The contract validity was checked by factor analysis;after quartimax rotation, the researcher extracted the factors by the default principle of eigenvalue>1.Each factor consisted of the items with factor loading≥0.6;the load factor value belonged to high level (≥0.6) by factor analysis.Conclusion:Adaptation OSSIQ has good reliability and validity for the evaluation on life quality of the populations with different types of subjective skin.It can be used to evaluate the influence of different types of skin in the life quality.

Objective:To understand the recognition status of cancer pain in basic medical staff from small towns to provide the basis for the improvement of cancer pain management in these areas. Methods:The medical staff of Hengjiang Town and subordinate villages was selected. The study area is situated in southwest China. Centralized questionnaires regarding cancer pain were collected and analyzed. A program and education of cancer pain were provided for these medical workers. Results: The medical staff from Hengjiang asserted that only 17%of cancer pain patients receive treatments. Approximately 70%of the medical staff did not consider the popularization and explanation of cancer pain treatment in their patients. Approximately 64%of the medical staff was not familiar with standardized cancer pain control, 87%did not believe that narcotics could suffice the need of patients, and 44%did not participate in the training for cancer pain control. Conclusion: The medical staff in Hengjiang possesses less knowledge on the importance of cancer pain. Hence, further training is necessary. The specific management of cancer pain as a part of community chronic diseases is mandatory.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility of PerkinElmer Genetic Screening Processor(GSP) in the application of newborn screening for congenital hypothyroidism (CH) and congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) by detecting thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and 17-OH-progesterone(17-OHP).Methods The dried-blood spots specimens from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) and the quality control in the reagent kit were detected and the accuracy,precision and linearity were calculated.A total of 1 012 samples of TSH(60 of positive and 952 negative samples) and 991 samples of 17-0HP(34 positive and 957 negative samples)were detected.The initial cut-off value was determined by ROC curve determined.The consistency between the results from GSP and clinical diagnosis was analyzed.Results The average of within-run coefficient of variation(CV) of TSH and 17-OHP were 6.69％ to 12.6％ and 7.52％ to 9.29％,and the average of between-run CV were 6.91％ to 10.96％ and 6.86％ to 12.36％,respectively.The average of bias of TSH and 170HP were-14.28％ to-0.74％ and-0.45％ to 12.54％.The linearity of GSP detection was fine.The initial cut-off values were 23.43 U/mL(TSH) and 21.42 ng/mL(17-OHP).The sensitivity of GSP detection was 100％ and the specificity of TSH and 17-OHP were 98.11％ and 99.58 ％ respectively.The results of GSP detection showed good consistency with clinical diagnosis.Conclusion As the first real automatic fluorescence immunoassay analyzer,GSP could be used in routine clinical diagnosis for CH and CAH.

This study aimed to amplify major genome segments (VP7, VP4, VP6, VP2 and NSP2-5) of porcine G3 group A rotavirus (GARV) LLZ212 isolated in our laboratory, determine their genotypes, and explore the evolutionary relationships between G3 GARV strains isolated from humans and pigs in Lulong County, Hebei Province, China. Major genome segments of seven GARV strains were amplified by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and the segments were sequenced. The genome segments of seven GARV strains were determined by the online RotaC genotyping tool (RotaC v2.0). The reference sequences of each GARV genome segment were downloaded from GenBank. Homology and phylogenetic evolutionary analyses were conducted using the MEGA 5.0 and DNAStar software packages. LLZ212 isolated from pigs in Lulong had the following genotype: G3-P[8]-I5-C1-N1-T1-E1-H1. All human GARV strains had the following genotype: G3-P[8]-I1-C1-N1-T1-E1-H1. The VP7, VP4, NSP4 and NSP5 genes of the LLZ212 strain had the highest nucleotide identities with the human GARV E885, CMH014/07, Wa and RMC321 strains, respectively, and these clustered together in a sublineage. The VP6, NSP4 and NSP5 genes of the LLZ212 strain shared the highest nucleotide identities with the porcine GARV PRG921 strain, while VP2 associated most closely with porcine GARV OSU strain, and these also clustered in a sublineage. A rare porcine G3-P[8]-I5-C1-N1-T1-E1-H1 GARV strain was identified, which may represent a reassortment between porcine and human viruses. In conclusion, the VP7, VP4, NSP4 and NSP5 genes of LLZ212 share high levels of sequence identity with human GARV, while VP2, VP6, NSP2 and NSP3 cluster with porcine GARV.

Objective To investigate the clinical and immunological features,therapeutic response as well as prognosis of adult onset Still's disease (AOSD).Methods AOSD was diagnosed in 137 patients referred to our department.Clinical and immunological data were retrospectively analyzed.Therapeutic response and prognosis were systemically reviewed during the follow-up period.Intergroup incidence divergence was analyzed by chi-square test.Cox regression analysis was adopted to determine factors related with relapse.Results Fever,rash and arthritis were the cardinal clinical features of AOSD patients.Elevated inflammatory indices including ferritin (128 suhjects,97.1％ ) along with neutrophilia and liver dysfunction were the main laboratory findings.Ninety-eight patients were followed up and 75％ (73 subjects) had achieved complete remission after 4 weeks treatment.Forty-one patients (42％) who had achieved remission relapsed during follow-up period.Combination of glucocorticoid steroid and disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) were more effective than glucocorticoid steroid only in inducing remission and preventing relapse.More patients received glucocorticoid combined with methotrcxate and hydroxychloroquine achieved remission (8 of 8 patients) than patients who were treated with glucocorticoid and methotrexate (25 of 28 patients,89％ ) and those treated with glucocorticoid and hydroxychloroquine (14 of 16 patients,88％ ).Patients with glucocorticoid were more likely to suffer disease recurrence than those who took glucocorticoid combined with DMARDs (61％ vs 29％,P=0.004).Cox regression analysis suggested that methotrexate had protec-tive effect against recurrence [RR=0.418,95％CI (0.192-0.909),P=0.028].5％ of patients were diagnosed to other diseases during the follow up period.Conclusion Initial treatment with combined glucocorticoid and DMARDs is beneficial to induce remission and prevent reoccurrence.Methotrcxate has a protective effect against recurrence.

Endostatin is a potent, endogenous inhibitor of angiogenesis, which corresponds to the C-terminal fragment of collagen ⅩⅧ. The human endostatin gene was amplified from a human fetal liver cDNA library by means of PCR and was cloned into pPIC9K vector. Soluble endostatin was superexpressed in Pichia pastoris (50.5mg/L) . The recombinant protein was purified by cation exchange chromatography with the final yield of more than 95%. Western blotting analysis showed positive immunoreactivity to the expressed product. Recombinant endostatin was able to suppress the angiogenesis on the CAMs. Also, the endostatin inhibited specifically of the migration of HMECs stimulated by bFGF, with EC50 being about 0.4 ?g/ml.
