The Journal of Practical Medicine 2017;33(2):185-188
Objective To observe the long?term efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by intensity?modulated radiation therapy. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the data of 183 patients with locally advanced NPC who were hospitalized in our hospital:96 cases in the observation group, 87 cases in the con?trol group. Results There were no significant differences between the observation group and the control group in terms of five?year OS (77.1%vs. 78.2%, P=0.861), DMFS(89.6%vs. 90.8%, P=0.782), RFS (78.1%vs. 77%, P=0.857) and PFS (72.9%vs. 71.3%, P=0.803). Compared with the control group, the observation group did not sig?nificantly improve 5?year OS, DMFS, RFS and PFS in T3?4N0?1 patients and also did not improve 5?year OS, DMFS, RFS and PFS in T1?4N2?3 patients. There were significantly larger numbers of individuals with adverse reactions in the observation group than in the control group. Conclusions Compared with the long?term efficacy in the patients with locally advanced NPC between neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by intensity?modulated radiation therapy with concurrent chemotherapy and intensity?modulated radiation therapy with concurrent chemotherapy, the progno?sis has no significantly differences and neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by intensity?modulated radiation therapy with concurrent chemotherapy leads to a larger number of adverse reactions. The action of neoadjuvant chemothera?py followed by intensity?modulated radiation therapy with concurrent chemotherapy in treatment of locally advanced NPC needs more research.

Objective To evaluate the consistency and diagnosis importance among three assays of Micral-Test strip,DCA 2000 analyzer and radioimmunoassay. Methods A total of 133 random urine samples of patients with diabetes were determined positive or questionable positive by Micral-Test strip, from whom urine samples within 8 hours during the nighttime were also collected. Both the two urine samples were determined by three assays for detection of microalbuminuria.Results(1)The value of Alb and AER determined by radioimmunoassy was significantly lower than that by DCA2000 analyzer,of which the sensitivity and specificity is 100%and 86.2%,?=0.812.(2)According to the reading scales of Micral-Test strip, the area under ROC curve(AUC)of random and 8 h urine samples were 0.900 and 0.934 respectively.(3)The AUC of random ACR and Alb was 0.952 and 0.923.The AUC of 8h urine ACR and Alb were 0.965 and 0.958.Conclusion The diagnosis importance among three assays is all dependable.Micral-Test strip is convenient for screening.ACR cannot substitute for AER as a diagnosis standard. And the value determined by DCA 2000 analyzer is more precise than that of radioimmunoassay.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(04):-
Objective To analyze the relationship between the chemotherapeutic efficacy and VEGF expression in the patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma. Methods 51 cases with oral squamous cell carcinoma who received preoperative chemotherapy of a total 80mg pingyangmycin were enrolled in this study. The relationship among the chemotherapeutic effect, VEGF expression, fever, and the duration of fever was analyzed using linear correlation, stepwise regression and student t-test. Results VEGF expression in the cancer cells of 92.1%(47/51) patients decreased after preoperative chemotherapy, and the decreased expression of VEGF was not significantly correlated with chemotherapentic efficacy. But the chemotherapeutic effect was closely related with fever degree in the early stage of chemotherapy. Conclusion There was no significant relationship between chemotherapeutic effects and VEGF expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma. Fever in early stage of chemotherapy may serve as an index for evaluating the patient prognosis.

Objective To obtain the near-infrared fluorescence image in vivo and find the relationship between the detecting depth and fluorescence probe concentration. Methods Signals of fluorescence probe in various depths of vivo and tissue phantom with cooled CCD camera were acquired. Results The fluorescence intensity informations with different fluorescence probe concentrations and depths in vivo and liquid phantom were obtained. Conclusion Relationship between fluorescence intensity, location and depth of detecting probe in vivo is found. The linear relation of fluorescence probe concentration and detecting intensity is simulated, which will be used as a reference for the experiment system.

The asymmetric hydrolyzation of racemic ibuprofen ester is one of the most important methods for chiral separation of ibuprofen. A catalytic antibody that accelerates the rate of enantioselective hydrolysis of ibuprofen methyl ester was successfully elicited against an immunogen consisting of tetrahedral sulfate hapten attached to bovine serum albumin (BSA). The rate constant enhancement factor Kcat/Kuncat was about 1.6x104. The catalytic activity of the catalytic antibody in a reverse micelle reaction system based on sodium b/s (2-ethylhexyl) sodium sulfosuccinate (AOT) in isooctane was studied. Kinetic analysis of the catalytic antibody-catalyzed reaction was found to be possible in this system. Kinetic studies showed that hydrolysis in the microemulsion system follow Michaelis-Menten kinetics. The catalytic antibody can also accelerate catalysis of S-ibuprofen methyl ester in the microemulsion system. Temperature effects, the pH profile, Km,app and Kcat were determined. The dependence of the catalytic antibody hydrolytic activity on the Wo (molar ratio of water to surfactant) showed a bell-shaped curve, presenting a maximum at about wo = 21.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the application and the effect of edentulous ridge expansion(ERE) technique in maxillary endossenous implant placement.
METHODS49 patients with maxillary alveolar ridge atrophy received edentulous ridge expansion using condenser. In order to be similar to natural root, dental implants were selected and placed to tooth missed sites according to the requirements of aesthetics, function and dimension.
RESULTS49 patients with atrophied alveolar ridge received 86 implants. The labio-lingual width augmented from 3.3 to 5.4 mm and the alveolar ridge height from 2 to 7 mm 6 months after operation. The implants osseintergrated tightly with alveolar bone and second-step prosthesis was performed 6 months after implant placement.
CONCLUSIONThe edentulous ridge expansion technique can meet the requirements of aesthetics and function and is applicable to endossenous implant placement in maxilla. The method is simple and valuable to clinical application.

BACKGROUND: Anterior and lateral columns of the femoral head integrity and stability have been reported to present a positive correlation with the prognosis of the osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) and efficacy of hip preserving. China-Japan Friendship Hospital Classification stressed that the retention of the anterior and lateral columns of the femoral head was of great importance to avoid the femoral head collapse, but there is little reported on its three-dimensional (3D) digital model.OBJECTIVE: To explore the method of establishing highly-simulated 3D model of China-Japan Friendship Hospital Classification for ONFH.METHODS: 3D reconstruction of normal and necrotic femoral head was established according to the CT and MRI of individuals with normal femoral head. A healthy adult male volunteer was selected and his CT image was collected; three adult male patients with types L1, L2 and L3 ONFH were selected, whose MRI images were obtained, respectively. 3D solid models were established based on CT and MRI data on Mimics 15.0, Geomagic Studio 13, Geomagic Design X, Solidworks2014 and Abauqus6.14 software. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: A highly-simulated 3D model of L type ONFH was established, including the corticaland cancellous bones of ilium and proximal femur, articular cartilage, necrotic articular cartilage, muscles, joint capsuleand ligaments. It clearly showed the spatial structures of L type ONFH, by which different surgical programs could be compared in a virtual environment for selecting an appropriate treatment strategy to improve the success rate of hip preserving. The highly-simulated 3D model paves ways for surgical simulation and biomechanical analysis.
